  • "We loved this restaurant. Very nice getting there felt like I was really out in the country yet close to the interstate. nice barn atmosphere great service food was wonderful!"

  • "Great restaurant. All food is truly terrific, but yogurt is extra special"

  • "Wonderful setting to take my 88 year-old veterinarian father for dinner. However, the food was unexceptional given the price. My father, a lover of a good pork chop, was disappointed with his and the three other dinners were ok. We love the farm for the ambience, ice cream and great view and will stick to those."

  • "This was a third visit to The Loft for dinner. Once again, they did not disappoint. We had the cheese board for our appetizer, and every bit of it was wonderful. The beer cheese and herb fromage were our favorites. My friend had the fish special and I had the filet, it was so delicious we hardly talked during our meal. Then dessert...by far our favorite. I had the cherry pie, to die for, and my friend had the lemon meringue in a jar. We cannot say enough about how wonderful our meal and experience was and will to come back. We would have liked to have purchased a whole pie, but were told that we couldn't (you really should start doing that). Absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. Can't say enough about the desserts, fantastic"

  • "Four of us shared an Onion Pie appetizer. It was surprisingly good and we should have ordered two. We all ordered different dinners and each was simply great; Scallops, Mac & Cheese, Farm Cheeseburger, and one of two steak choices. A little wine, ice tea and two Traders Point Creamery ice cream deserts. All of it well presented with service that was friendly, knowledgable and attentive without getting in the way. Other places may also advertise menus that are 'organic, farm fresh, locally sourced, farm-to-table, etc.' But there is something special going on here. Highly recommended."

  • "This is a very pastoral, organic restaurant where you can actually have a conversation at dinner. The food has an interesting and diverse twist on american-european cusine. the lamb was acceptable, but the whitefish and the chicken were excellent. By all means try the onion pie as a first. Service was good. Try to get a table on the balcony with a great view over the fields and woods of Traders Pointe Creamery."

  • "Took my girlfriend here for a quiet Sunday brunch and it was just what we were looking for. She likes organic food more than myself but I enjoyed the food as well. Great flavor and taste. The service was kind of slow; however, we were seated on the patio and we were the only ones out there so it was quiet and the view was great. They were very kind to move us under an umbrella do to the sun and heat as well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet Sunday brunch."

  • "I loved the place, excellent food, interesting history and amazing area. It is the perfect weekend getaway. We started with a long breakfast on the covered porch, then took a self-guided tour of the farm (use lots of sunscreen) and finally enjoyed an organic homemade ice cream to cool off. Some of the best coffee I've had, excellent service and looks like the perfect venue for weddings. There was a clean barn with lighting and also have a nice garden area. Definitely recommend visiting, makes for a different dinning experience. They let you watch how they milk the cows! They do this in the morning and then at 4 pm, sadly we could not stay to watch, so it's the perfect excuse to go back!"

  • "Our server was kind enough to take a photo for us on the balcony/porch, and the buspeople cleaned up our SHAKE IN A TO-GO CONTAINER and leftovers before we were finished. There were purses and a jacket left at the table so they would know not to. Thoroughly disappointed we could not finish our leftovers. The busperson, when confronted, said "Sorry" and hurried off. We were in a bit of a rush at that point and did not tell management."

  • "The waitress was awesome... Great information, friendly, attentive but didn't hover. Food was good but not great. The blueberry pie was the best I have ever had."

  • "We were extremely disappointed during our recent Friday night dinner at the Loft. Service was horrible! It took at least 10-15 minutes for staff to bring water and menus, we asked for extra bread with our cheese board appetizer at least 4-5 times and are still waiting for it. My wife's salmon entree was raw when served and the waitress never returned to our table to inquire about how our meal was going after she took our order. The food we did get was adequate but very overpriced. My complaint about service to the manager resulted in a cursory apology and the removal of the cheese board and salmon from our bill when the entire meal should have been comped. I doubt we will ever visit the Loft again."

  • "Great experience, but you need a reservation. Decide if you want to eat outdoors, and consider that they have loud live music if you eat indoors. We have a hearing disabled member of our group and had to request on screened porch so he could hear. Be aware they have screened porch, open deck, and indoors away from music. I'd specify on reservation. Food was not cheap, but it was wonderful!"

  • "The food was absolutely amazing. As one who rarely makes it out to any big cities to enjoy fine dining, it was like an oasis to me. The cheese board was a terrific starter with a great variety of flavors and the lamb was some of the most tender meat I have consumed in my life. Great ice cream too!"

  • "Our first dining experience at the Loft was amazing. The meals where delicious . The service was exceptional as well.. My favorite part was the atmosphere which was relaxing and charming."

  • "The food is just average and is overpriced. I really want to like this place, but I just can't. The setting and idea are great, but the food falls short, the service is slow and, as I said, it's too expensive."

  • "Absolutely love this place! The food is always yummy not to mention fresh. Our group ordered farm fed steak, chicken and the fresh catch of the day (white fish) and we loved our dishes. The portions are filling. Whether indoors or out the ambiance is sure to make any event you a celebrating special."

  • "Great food! Great atmosphere! Great service! What more could you want?"
    Dined on 6/8/2014
  • "Good food and rustic atmosphere. Everything we got was rich which I suppose I should have expected from a creamery. Fridays seem to be their busiest day. I would not recommend going there for a romantic dinner on a Friday because it was very busy and the staff seemed overwhelmed by it. Also if you want to eat on the patio, I guess you have to call for a reservation rather than book on opentable."

  • "This was our 1st time there. It far exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh and the service was great. We loved the cabin feel of the resturant and would love to sit on the deck next time."

  • "My family and I went to Traders Point for Sunday brunch. We truly enjoyed our while experience. We strive to eat all organic food, so the 45 minute trip to eat here was worth it. What really made the meal great was the servers. They're top notch. My only complaint is the amount of throw away containers they give you throughout the meal. The butter, jam, and ice cream (and spoon) all came in throw away vessels. They were compostable, but still. If I'm spending $120 brunch I'd rather not see that. It really doesn't fit the organic scene. We'll be back."

  • "We had a small group/shower and the experience was just lovely. The location is picturesque, the food delicious and reasonably priced and service was great. There was not a lot of noise, but we were one of the first to arrive (11:15) so I couldn't say that's the norm. It's definitely worth the drive from Terre Haute. I will go again."

  • "It was worth the drive out to Traders Point. I arrived with an open champagne bottle and red velvet cake. They were more than happy to accommodate! Appetizers and entrees ordered were delicious. Great staff and food was executed superbly."

  • "Outstanding farm to table dining experience. The chicken was the best I've ever tasted. Love the different food and seasoning combinations. Only area of improvement would be the chairs (inside seating). The tilt of the seat causes the metal rod across the front of the seat to cut into the back of ones thighs. Other than that, I highly recommend!"

  • "Fantastic service (Demara was our server). Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. Food was excellent! Dessert was amazing! Each of us had pie, one had blueberry lemon, another chocolate banana and I had sugar cream. Best pie we have ever had! Will be coming back!!"

  • "I couldn't wait to write this review! Our experience at The Loft was outstanding. My three-year-old daughter and I were visiting from out of town and had a date at the loft per a friend's recommendation. The atmosphere is charming and rustic, our server (Amanda) was very knowledgeable and sweet... She also expedited our service which was greatly appreciated! Every course (appetizer, salad, entrée, and dessert) was excellent and I can't wait to go back!"

  • "The Loft has really hot it's stride. We have been going on and off since they first opened the restaurant years ago. At first the food was inconsistent and the portions were way too small for the money. It's still not cheap but the menu is outstanding. I had cold curry carrot soup, rabbit and a slice of chocolate banana pie. It was one of the best meals I've ever had."

  • "I'd expected mostly ladies at leisure, yet there were also business groups entertaining out-of-town guests. I'd expected mostly dairy-based dishes, but there were lots of choices for my lactose-averse friend too. My east-coast visitor ate happily, and although she said the service ought to be brisker, I thought it was friendly and fine. We enjoyed sitting on the pleasant screened porch; I may explore the nice deck next time, or maybe my group will opt for the roomy main room. You might want to first drive your senior guests to the higher north parking lot. Then they'll avoid most stairs while you park on the lower south side. Bring a cooler for some purchases from the lower-level store, where I've gotten delicious food items for many years."
