  • "Food wasnt that great, flickering light bulb, but the service was great. The waitstaff was helpful and around."

  • "We had a very pleasant lunch. Food was very good. The restaurant was not very busy, but the service was somewhat slow."

  • "Hey this place is like an upper crust establishment in a middle American neighborhood. We keep it simple in Resiterstown, MD yet Harryman is the jewel that's just right for a meal in extravagance. Great service, fresh food, upscale atmosphere with mature sophistication!"

  • "Excellent place for a special occasion to celebrate family. Not rushed, very relaxed atmosphere and quiet so we could hear each other for conversation."

  • "We always like Harryman House... but some of even expensive entrees can be blah.... Like that there is a wide range of food and prices on menu. Some of the entrees are quite interesting. Some reach but don't make it."

  • "We chose the Harryman House for a family dinner celebrating my 50th birthday. The service was exceptional and the food was beautifully presented. It was wine night so we got a nice bottle for 40 per cent off! (Wednesday). For dessert we had a perfect creme brulee. It was a perfect place for a special occasion without breaking the bank-you get a lot of atmosphere and charm. We live in Westminster and a lot of our friends make the short drive to this wonderful restaurant."

  • "The food and the service are consistantly excellent. Love, love, love Harryman! The seafood quiche and JoJo's Chocolate Temptation are to die for!"

  • "Had the Arctic char as a special. It was well cooked and very flavorful."

  • "The atmosphere was lovely, with votive candles flickering nearby in the fireplace. The specials and the menu included a nice variety of choices, with interesting flavor combinations. We 6 were all happy with our selections. I had the eggplant fries appetizer with yogurt dipping sauce, and the open faced blackened mahi mahi sandwich. The fries needed salt (easily added), but were crisp and delicious. The mahi mahi sat atop a thin crisp slice of brioche, and a wonderfully flavorful tomato concasse. These 2 dishes made an ample and delectable dinner. A delicious and unusual special entre was rockfish on a bed of warm tabouli. Prices were moderate, creating an delicious, high value evening!"

  • "I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant and highly recommend it. The service is incredible and the food a delight. This is a must with fair pricing."

  • "This restaurant has lost it's way. Busy small bar can't figure out if they are drinking so much because there's nothing to eat here or If they are in sync with the food. Its winter where is great rissotto, pot oie osso bucco , daily fresh fish etc. It's a want to be with reasonable prices. Go back to your roots People just want good food. Menu when you sit down is bigger than the table. This food place needs leadership and a complete overall. With the advent of so many new places their draw of customers will lessen and be reliant upon the neighborhood And their need for a simplified menu and enhanced service."

  • "Urall this place was great. Our server was helpful in helping us chose the chipotle pizza. Food on was a 10. My wife and I enjoyed it and will be coming back. The crabcake, Salmon, and desert was great. The only negative was the front desk service. We made a 7pm reservation but got seated later. My wife saw our table cleaned well before we got seated. This was still a great place."

  • ""The Grill at Harryman House" never disappoints us. It is always nice to be greeted by the owner and have staff recognize and welcome us back. The wait staff here can not be beat. The food always is top notch in preparation, flavor and quality. As we dined for dinner on Valentines Day we realized that this year marks 25 years of dinning here; surely a testament to the great food atmosphere and people. I just miss my chocolate macadamia nut tart for desert !!!!!!!"

  • "Went for Valentine's Day with my wife. We've been before for restaurant week and to hang out at the bar a few times. The service has always been great and a very likeable place, but the food didn't measure up to the prices. The steak wasn't cooked properly (twice), the quesadilla was burned, and the crab toast was more a lump of uncooked crab cake on a piece of stale white bread. The staff really tried to make it right, but didn't get there. For a $100/tab, it wasn't up to par. (Sorry guys, but I can offer the braised short-rib we had the previous visit was excellent!!!)"

  • "Our group of 6 met after not seeing each other for over a year. The ambience lead itself to being able to talk freely, without interfering with other guests. The crab dip we shared was a great starter. The Steak Frites ordered by several was very good, as was the Asian Salmon. Love the French fries! Desserts chosen were the bread pudding and coffee chocolate ice cream. Very yummy. The Cappucino was too sweet and tasted like a ready-mix version, not a freshly prepared one. Overall we had a great time and would certainly come back."

  • "Short, but well-rounded menu. Food was excellent and any special orders were delivered as requested. Waiter was outstanding...very attentive but not overbearing. Atmosphere is relaxed in the dining areas, and robust in the bar/lounge. Excellent experience every time."

  • "We have been here over the years and this time was the best ever. The menu is so inviting with many great choices. We loved the duck, lamb & crab cakes with delicious salad & desserts. The ice creams and cheesecake were outstanding. Highly recommend. We ate in a beautiful modern room with a high ceiling, mint green walls & comfy banquettes. Other rooms vary widely in ambience from cozy log cabin to rowdy bar area so try to be seated in the area that fits your mood and the occasion."

  • "One of my favorite restaurants for 18 years because of the consistently excellent food quality and creativity, service, and atmosphere. However, this evening was the first night of their "new" menu. The menu had a reduced number of selections, with a limited number of their outstanding fish dishes. One of my wife's go-to dishes, the steak salad, was very disappointing - the meat was actually tough. When the waitress asked about our meals, we pointed out the problem. She offered a replacement, which my wife refused - too far along "grinding" through the salad. They should have comp'd the ice cream we ended up ordering to make up for the poor quality meat, but that did not happen. This restaurant has slipped, and I hope it's only temporary."

  • "Food and service were on point as always! The oysters were delicious and fresh, the crab dip is always good with the pita bread. I got the special which was a rockfish (perfectly cooked) in a blood orange beurre blanc sauce. My boyfriend got the cajun trout and it was seasoned very well. Creme brulee is excellent as always! We will be back!"

  • "This was a mixed experience. The best part was redeeming the gift in a red envelope everyone who dined on NYE received as ours was 33% off. I tried the barley and mushroom soup and the lobster ravioli and both were exceptional. I cannot imagine either being prepared better. The soup was hearty and tasty. The ravioli was delectable. Hubby had steak and eggs and was very satisfied. The service was excellent as usual and the setting was quaint. The downside (and hence the overall rating of 3), was they would not honor Balt Co Restaurant Week. The sign out front said to join them for BCRW through January 26th. It was January 26th. The server said the manager said they do not do BCRW on Sundays. Fine. Then don't advertise it. Bait and switch!"

  • "we had a coupon we had forgotten to use previously. it was a sealed envelope surprise coupon. It turned out to be good for 50 % off, which was nice. unfortunately, the pizza we ordered was so tasteless, my husband ate one piece and took home the rest for the cats. (they didn't eat it either). the pizza was just dough with alot of cheese and a few tomatoes sprinkled on top. we have had pizza here before and liked it alot. would rather have paid double and liked the meal. i had the mushroom barley soup which was excellent."

  • "The Grill at Harryman House is a great restaurant for a quiet night out, a group lunch, or any special occasion. The food is excellent, with a wide assortment of American and local fare. The wine list is good. It's cozy, reasonably quiet, and has a number of small rooms that each have their own character."

  • "Sunday, Jan 26, 6:00 pm, for 4. We asked for, and were seated in the room with the bar in it. Everything was VG, as usual. Harryman is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. Creative and diverse American-style menu."

  • "My family and I checked out Harryman's for brunch to see about using it for a location for my baby shower. The food was a waxing but the service was not so much. May just be my pregnancy nose by the waiter reeked of cigarettes and when we asked about private rooms and party menus the water said his boss told us to call back during the week. We were looking to spend a good deal of money at his location and it was a huge turn off that the manager couldn't have bothered to at least stop by the table to answer some basic questions. We decided that even though the food was great we couldn't risk poor service for our event. On to the next venue."

  • "Dined here with my family for 2 birthdays. Overall good experience. The escargot came and was cold but it was sent back and corrected in a very timely manner. Entree's were all very good. The Apple dessert with the ice cream was excellent. Overall nice experience and would recommend to anyone."

  • "We got great service from our waiter but the food was slow coming out and just Luke warm. For the prices we expected the food to blow us away and it was just ok. I have been in the neighborhood 9 years and finally decided to try but I can't say I will be going back anytime soon."

  • "Great set up. Harryman House has a separate bar with tables. So you can have the great food in a vibrant, fun bar scene or a quieter restaurant setting. Delicious."

  • "We live in the area and have been coming to The Harryman House for many years. Our most recent experience was worth writing about. Even with the hordes of diners who we assumed came out for Baltimore County restaurant week, our service was sensational and the food better than ever. The kitchen did a great job of getting our food out in a timely fashion and serving it hot. The menu, which is updated frequently, was a terrific blend of old favorites and new delights. something for everyone, at a variety of price points. Great wine, beer and cocktail list!Restaurant week menu was exceptional! And of course, you cannot find a more charming atmosphere for a cold night than this place. Come out to old Reisterstown, you will not be disappointed."

  • "We had Sunday brunch. Their food was great with a couple of minor exceptions; one of the appetizers we ordered was not available, and the quiche was just so-so. I guess we should have known as much trying to put chicken in a quiche! Great ambiance and an excellent wait staff!"
