"Because is was mid afternoon, we gravitated to the lunch fare. This included a selection of sandwiches and four entrees. We initially ordered two appetizer portions of shrimp cocktail for the table from the menu. A few minutes later, I was informed that the kitchen had run out of shrimp. Run out of shrimp....in mid-afternoon? We substituted and smiled. A few minutes later, I ordered an iced tea. I was informed that the kitchen had no more iced tea...in mid afternoon? From there, we were informed that the were no sides (e.g. potato, rice, veggies) available for the steak (or any other entree). The view is great, but walk to a bridge and bring your own iced tea."

"This was a first visit for me & my husband. It was the last night of restaurant week and most tables were filled. I ordered the salmon and my husband got the fillet both of which were very good. However, the service was very slow. It took 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge we were there (with the exception of the waiter who brought water) or to take our drink order. The waitress was very accomodating when she realized the error by picking up our first round of drinks. Overall, it just seemed as though the wait staff was a little overwhelmed by the number of tables having to be served like they were not expecting to be that busy. With that being said, I would give it another try as the food was very good."

"Based only on our entrees, The Grill at Forty 1 North is 5 stars. The 10 oz filet melted in your mouth and the scallops are some of the best I've ever had. But there was more to our meal than that. The Lobster Tomato soup was luke warm and rather tasteless. My husband's comment on the Molten Lava cake for dessert was that "the frozen one from Trader Joe's is way better". It was more like an over cooked chocolate cupcake. The service needs improvement. There was confusion over which server was assigned our table and the bartender had a difficulty handling my husband's drink order "a bourbon iced tea". The view is great and it's definitely a hot spot. But just know you will not be paying for the perfect meal."

"Overall, excellent experience! We enjoyed the restaurant week menu (10 oz filet) Willie experiencing a fantastic view of the harbor and sunset!! Service was very good. The bar offers some great views and has great ambiance. We will definitely be back when the outdoor areas are open."

"I was surprised, being the first Saturday of Restaurant Week, that the staff was not prepared. Our orders - - for both liquor and food were incorrect and no one seemed to care! The food was alright, but we would not recommend nor will we return.

We have been to Christie's(albeit not during Restaurant Week) and loved the food, the ambience and the servioe. This was one of the main reasons that we wanted to try The Grill.

"The only disappointment I had with my experience was there were several tables open yet we were sat so that my back was to the ocean and I couldn't enjoy the view. Other than that I would highly recommend this restaurant. Thumbs up to the scotch list aswell."
