"The Empress Room is a great place for that memorable meal. The food has always been quite good but in the last six months or so we found that it has been kicked up a notch and is very good. This experience was during Victoria's Dine Around. A $ value meal without compromise in the quality of ingredients or flavours. Special occasions are highlighted with surprise extras that really add to the experience."

"We had a perfectly lovely dinner. It was my friend's 86th birthday and we had last been in that very room for her 80th with about 35 people.She loves that room as do I. The food was fabulous as always and the waiter was most accomodating...even when we asked for both a twist and an olive in our martini's. The only thing I will mention is that my friend mentioned that the maitre d was circling the talbes a bit too often..it distracted her.
I will be back as always. Thank you"

"Had a great time here at Christmas time, the ambiance was just what I was looking for. Quiet and romantic. The food was also good, but I have to admit, I've had better at the Empress. My wife's dinner choices were great."

"Had Chateaubriand for two. It was tender and just as ordered. The server was excellent throughout the meal, especially since we had to wait for our food due to a redo of our chateaubriand at the chef's call in the kitchen. We were provided with a free sorbet while waiting and a free dessert for each of us at the end. The chef came by afterwards to chat. Overall we were impressed with the food, server and the 'Victorian' ambiance. We will return again on another special occasion."
