    We came for the fish special, miso marinated black cod with shitake mushrooms, boy choy, and forbidden rice. It was an incredible meal. The meal was done to perfection with the butter richness of the black cod complemented by Chef Dan's wine recommendation. We did have the squash blossoms appetizers and the coffee cream bruelee. Chef Dan, Chef Patrick and the staff always making our dinners there spectacular.

    Service was excellent. Cocktails are seasonal and everyone of them are delicious (we were a party of 4 and tasted each others). The food was excellent and exceeded all expectations. The suggested wine parings with each entree was perfect. Dessert was a light, delightful and a wonderful finish. The head chef visited our table several times and engaged in meaningful conversation.

    The Elkridge Furnace Inn curates a wonderful dining experience. Chef Dan works to create vibrant seasonal menus with local produce and meats, both from the community and the gardens on the property. My wife and I keep returning to celebrate our wedding anniversary, as we had an excellent experience with our rehearsal dinner held 4 years ago at The Elkridge Furnace Inn. The staff is warm & welcoming, and Chef Dan always comes around to all of the patrons to check in on their food & service. You will leave The Elkridge Furnace Inn full, satisfied, and wanting more!

    I asked for a medium well/well steak. It came out under medium with blood oozing out. I asked for it to be cooked well and the second steak was worse. So much blood running into the potatoes. I went home hungry with a headache.

    We are so used to 5-star reviews, it always makes us sad when we get a less than stellar review, Michelle. Our Executive Chef hand cuts our steaks which are prepared by a knowledgeable team. But we know that steaks are a very personal item. Your filet was ordered medium well and then sent back for a re-do. We did our best and are sorry that was not to your liking. We both compted your steak as well as the house-made cookie butter cheesecake which we know first-hand is amazing. We hope you at least enjoyed our signature Cream of Baltimore Soup along with the beautiful surroundings and that your guest enjoyed his Delmonico.

    My husband and I happened to learn of this restaurant through OpenTable. We celebrated our anniversary there and had a wonderful experience. The historic inn and garden are beautiful; the food was amazing; and the service was outstanding. We will definitely visit again.

    My daughter and had an absolute B L A S T at Brunch during this visit!! Jason was our server and he is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the menu. Kyle was his assistant but he seems like he could be a server himself (*very knowledgeable about the history of this historic venue). Overall… 5 STARS!!!! We will be coming back for Father’s Day dinner!!!

    This is a great little restaurant for any occasion, and you have the plus of it being full of history, the chef owner is always there he genuinely wants everyone to be at home and usually makes his rounds later in the evening to make sure that your meal and service is what you expect from the first class restaurant that it is, I have been going there probably around 6-10 times per year for I believe 10 plus year's and it is always a good time and the food and service is always great I can't recommend this place enough, if you want a place quiet place to go, during the week would be the best, it can get busy on the weekend but the service is always top notch We went there for my birthday last night and they had a party out back of I believe Chef Dan said was around 170 people and the restaurant inside was very busy and the service was great no problems, again I can't recommend this enough Definitely a top notch place so do yourself a favor and try it out

    Definitely a 5 star experience from start to finish. Fresh and local ingredients, from their own property when available, combined to create spectacularly flavorful dishes. The mushroom appetizer is my favorite! For the entree I had the rockfish and my husband had the New York strip with an added crab cake. Both were excellent!! The desserts are as beautiful as they are tasty. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and waitstaff is attentive but not intrusive. Yes, it is a bit on the pricey side but worth every cent!
