We have our Beer and Wine license! Corkage fee is $20 if you choose to bring your own. However, if you buy the next bottle from us, Black Sheep will be happy to wave our corkage fee on your first bottle.

  • "was perfect. They had sliders: lamb and also the lobster, which I've had before and can attest to their deliciousness. I had the oyster platter. The restaurant has added a few tables since we were here last and it really opened the place up. They are working on their outdoor seating; hopefully it will be shaded and breezy... This place is a go-to restaurant with excellent food prepared by Chef Joseph and excellent service, spurred on by Maria, a Jersey girl right at home in Texas. What a wonderful place to entertain, with fairly priced wine, good views, and an over-all friendly atmosphere. And then came the cannoli's with ricatta cheese, thank you very much."

We had the beet salad ... very delicious. For dinner around the table, we at the shrimp dinner, tuna, and Chilean sea bass, all the meals were wonderful The service was friendly and attentive too.   • "My husband I were looking for a restaurant to go to for dinner on Saturday evening close to home in Spring. I found The Black Sheep on Open Table and after reading the previously written positive reviews we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. I had shrimp and my husband had pork chops, both dishes were delicious. We shared a Beef Satay appetizer and the Mediterranean salad, delicious as well. We finished with the cannoli's yummy! We will definitely return to this restaurant."

The owner/chef and his wife were very visible and attentive to their guests. Another server would have been helpful considering the amount of tables that were there when we ate. We had the lunch special meatloaf (and I usually don't even like meatloaf), but the waiter convinced me that this was the buy of the day. And, he was right. It was incredible.   • "Tucked away in Old Town Spring, The Black Sheep Bistro brings upscale dining to a low-key neighborhood. My husband and I dined there on a Saturday night and were impressed with the staff, the eclectic but delicious wine selections and were blown away by the food. At the suggestion of the wife of the chef we had the sea bass and the pork chop and both were incredible. We will be going back for more special occasions! The only thing we didn't love was the choice of music being piped a little too loudly through the restaurant. It didn't seem to match the rest of the ambiance. The was a large, happy party dining near us, so perhaps on this night the noise level was more "energetic" than the norm."

  • "We have been here many times for dinner, but had no idea they offered brunch! YEA!! We showed up at 11 and requested an outdoor seat on the patio. Kat is always so sweet and personable. Love her! My husband had the french toast and said it was the best he'd ever had. I had the crab cake eggs benedict. Amazing! The mimosa's were delightful! We will definitely return for brunch and dinner! Love this place!"

  • "We had a party of nine on a Saturday night, and The Black Sheep Bistro took great care of us. We had a nice table along a wall so we could all visit pretty well. The staff went out of their way to accommodate the party member in a wheelchair, and to make everyone very comfortable. The food and service were very good. The only bummer was that the AC wasn't working well on a warm, humid evening; however, they said the new unit was coming in the next few days. That's something that is really out of the control of management and so I don't count it against them. I'd highly recommend The Black Sheep Bistro for a nice dinner in an out-of-the-way spot."

We had the Rack of Lamb and Crabcakes, as well as the Burrata Caprese, and Creme Brulee; all were fantastic. Service was impeccable. The decor/ambiance could stand a little more attention, but the restaurant is relatively new, so perhaps that is to come. The focus is definitely on the food and service, which was wonderful. Will be back to try other unique items on the menu.The wine menu is extremely limited and names and brands we did not recognize. I hope they expand the wine that is as distinct and notable as their food. Inspired menu and delicious food. No high chairs not sure if that is a polite no children policy.It was casual & loud enough for children but it is a small old house and running children could be a problem.Word of mouth & open table reviews have gotten around and people are coming to taste the incredible and unique fresh menu items. The service was a little slow but very friendly. "

  • "We actually dined on May 20th. My wife and I had been here before and loved the food so we took great friends. They loved it too..as we expected. The food was great and this time, I had the Black Sheep Sliders...they were fantastic! Last time, I had the Joe's lobster sliders which I recommended and my friend said they were "awesome" and I agree! We did bring our own wine...and as mentioned in previous comments, the $20 per bottle corkage fee is worth thinking about. They will waive it if you purchase a bottle from their list. He had a great dinner, the food was excellent with fun service. If you can, try it...you will enjoy it!"

  • "This was our third trip to this delightful little restaurant in Old Town Spring. The dining rooms are structured to allow conversations with your neighbors if you are so inclined. It's a friendly place. The chef does a superb job with the food. I had the lobster sliders (3) and they were fresh and delicious and filling. His presentations of all the food make them all the more inviting. Glad they finally started to serve wine, too. Very reasonable. And, of course, Maria is the perfect hostess and comes around to talk to the customers. (I think she knows the chef...). This place will not diasapoint."

  • "This small quaint restaurant is so adorable. A little house in old town Spring. Not at all what I expected. Very elegant! The wait staff was very attentive. The food was amazing. The crab cake was one of the best I have ever had. We ordered several things to try them out. Everything we ordered had a contemporary flair. The sauces were amazing and the lemon aid was to die for. I like that the chef changes the menu seasonally. Be aware it is BYOB and I believe they do not charge a corkage fee. "

This place is located in Old Town Spring offering an awesome backdrop to this charming building. It's been a long time since I had a good meal made from the heart and soul! Everything is so fresh and flavorful my favorite's include the Airline Chicken, Broiled Oysters and a 48 hour miso & sake marinated Chilean Sea Bass!"

  • "What a great brunch menu!! A nice split of breakfast items and lunch items, so no one has to compromise. The sausage gravy and biscuits is a bountiful serving. The crab cake Benedict is rich, yet light. The special crepe du jour was filled with lemon ricotta and strawberries and topped with fresh berries and a light drizzle of lemon sauce and honey. It was a huge portion! Make the meal a must."

  • "This place is quickly becoming a favorite of ours. This was our second time here. We went with my in-laws and we shared the Bistro Salad (WONDERFUL!), crabcakes (YUM) and the escargot mushrooms (AMAZING) appetizers. Everyone enjoyed their entrees as well. We have had the Airline Chicken, fish, pork tenderloin and the filet. They were all VERY good! The service is very pleasant and personable. Ask for Kat. She is a darling and so helpful! Oh, and they are now able to serve wine. We ordered a bottle and it was very reasonable and good. Wonderful little place! You won't regret it!"

I especially enjoy having the ability to bring my own wine so I could enjoy some of my favorite wine with friends while having a great meal.   • "After reading such amazing reviews we were expecting a fabulous dining experience but what we got was an okay dining experience. First of all the restaurant appears online as if it's a fancy upscale romantic restaurant but it's not; it's just an expensive one with good food (good, not great). The prices are pretty outrageous. $36 for fish? Much too high for the quality and service and atmosphere or there lack of. Not sure why everyone raves about this restaurant. I wouldn't return personally. The only great thing was the fresh bread which was really good. My meal was average at best and the service was scatty. The atmosphere was much too casual for those prices and I'm still not sure what the hype was about."

We had been told by some friends that this was a wonderful place to eat and we were not disappointed. The Sea Bass was amazing and the Lobster sliders were incredible. Try the duck confit and foie gras appetizer. It is amazing. they are doing a great job out in Old Town Spring."

  • "We had a great time at the Black Sheep Bistro! We had an 8:00 reservation, and they were BUSY. But, they seated us immediately. It took quite a while for our waitress to get to us, but the hostess came by and opened our bottle of wine (it's BYOB here), gave us water and bread. We were fine with the wait. I had the Red Snapper and my husband had the filet. They were both excellent. Oh, we also had the Mushroom Polenta for an appetizer. Amazing! At the end of our meal, we had the tiramisu. We were told that the chef makes all the desserts in house, and you can tell! Very good! Overall, an excellent meal! We will definitely go here again! We want to support these family-owned restaurant in our area!"
