Meals are exactly the way they prepare it in Italy. All the chefs are Italian and you can tell they love what they do. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves good authentic Italian food. There are so many choices so make sure you can split a pasta and a pizza with someone so to get taste everything!Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.

It's a loud active setting typical of the new style restaurant craze so if your into quiet romantic italian look elsewhere. All the ingredients on our dishes tasted fresh and full of flavor. The food overall was ok but the rest was a disappointment. We waited for over 20 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink and that was just the beginning. It took a while to get our drinks, and the server did not come back to our table once the coffee was served. My disclaimer is that the server was new, however I do think that he should have been more attentive to our table. This was or second visit to the restaurant. We enjoyed the food more the first time. We ordered the ravioli which didn't have the same tasty flavors as the lasagna we ordered the first time. I was first here over a year ago and although things are absolutely better, there are still some improvements that can be made. For the price point I feel that pizzas should be so burnt! Don't get me wrong, I like a little bit of the charred dough bubbles on the top but the bottom was also burnt. Great wine and wine list, attentive a knowledgeable service. Staff went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of with a great table and bringing in dessert with birthday sparklers and singing. Lovely! The menu has been simplified to the point that all of the delicious items have disappeared. The service was so/so. The ambiance was cheapened. I brought 3 new people to it and I was embarrassed. I won't be returning.

The pizza I ordered had a soggy crust and was not as visually appealing as previous pizzas I have enjoyed there. We have enjoyed lovely meals there in the past, but unfortunately we have taken this restaurant off our list of favourites.

A bit of construction criticism here... The steak dinner really didn't 'look' very appealing for lack of color. Presentation really matters. It was served with cubed potatoes and cauliflower. It would have only taken a couple of carrot slices or green vegetable to make it look more appetizing. Aside from that we both thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and the service was the best we've ever experienced. We will definitely be back! 4.5 stars from us.Special Features:

I've been to the French Laundry, so yes - I know what spectacular service is. Our Server always kept our glasses full and our water decanter filled. The attention to detail was there. My favourite part? When he took our pizza away and put them in boxes, kept them in the kitchen for us so we could enjoy our conversation and not have to worry about takeaway containers on our table. It gets better. We paid the bill, put our jackets on. In the corner of my eye - I saw our Server make his way to the entrance with two pizza boxes in hand ready to hand them off to us - without mixing up our pizzas. The atmosphere is warm and conducive to wine and conversation. I have some food allergies, and they are always respectful and helpful with my meal choices. The menu is unique with family recipes, it's not like every other Italian restaurant. I haven't noticed high chairs but families with older children would enjoy a special night out at Bibo.Special Features:

There were too many anchovies. The one pizza with a little beef was in fact very nice.

It was very quiet which is unusual for BiBo, there were maximum 3 tables with people. Unfortunately this made the staff less attentive instead of more attentive. They were standing around talking and that is why I rated the service so low because this is not something you want to experience on your birthday. Otherwise the service was great on our previous visits and the pizza is amazing! When making our reservation we asked for a larger table then the ones they have for 2 (very narrow, maybe 24 inches) and were given one. The wooden platter of meats and cheeses (Tagliere di Salumi e Formaggi) is outstanding. Better than at any other Vancouver pizza place we've been to and we've been to all the "name" places. We never felt rushed. We were asked as we neared the end of our platter if we were ready for the pizza. We did end up waiting 5 minutes for it but that's fine because the pizza was excellent. The draught beer selection is one we like.
