Diner Reviews
  • "When we walked in both attendants were on the phone for 3-4 minutes. We were seated and told our waitress that we came for Restaurant Week deal as our reservation noted. Another waitress came soon after with our drinks (ordered with other waitress). She told us about salad bar, and main entree. No issues, other than having to ask for our second round of drinks twice. No biggie. She brought a selection of desserts. After our meal, we noticed we were charged fill price plus separately for our desserts. We explained what happened and were not given adjustments for another 20 minutes, after 3 receipt printouts and 3 discussions with management. It ruined our night to have her keep coming to our table and not fix the issue immediately."

  • "THIS place is the ideal romantic scene you see in the movies. Just go. Everything was perfect. Definitely will impress your date and make a night to remember."

  • "Ask for Rachel. She will take really good care of you. We were pleased to find a place that could make caiparanhas almost as good as ours at home. The size of the dining area is just right to keep the noise level at moderate. Try the lobster bisque! We really enjoyed our visit and would willingly and gladly return."

  • "Overall expwrience was very good. We had enjoyed even more if the noise level was lower and we could have a good conversation without yelling."

  • "Texas deBrazil is a celebration of meat. Men wandering about offering freshly cooked portions of pork, beef, chicken, and lamb, as much as you like direct to your table. Also, a generous salad bar offers great and unique selections of salad fixin's, cheeses and peppers. Paired with a bottle of wine, not a bad outing for a special occasion!"

  • "I love the lamb chops and lamb shank. The salad bar is great too. The mushrooms and sauce is all you need for the flavor to the meat."

  • "Great lively atmosphere if you want to talk a lot with a group. Nice ambiance but might be a bit loud for a one on one date. The food was outstanding! We could have eaten just the salad bar but ended up trying just about every meat that came our way. Will definitely be back!"

  • "Texas de Brazil was recommended to me by another foodie friend. This restaurant became an instant favorite. Everyone, from the hostess to the manager made sure that I was taken care of. The scenery is very nice and the food was amazing. I plan to frequent this restaurant."

  • "Not worth the extra charge for Sunday brunch. Suggest save and only do lunch here for quality of food you get. Worth $29 that's it."

  • "My boyfriend wanted to go to Texas de Brazil for his birthday. I would have preferred to go to Capitol Grille. The waiters were not educated on the wine list. They had to ask the manager twice. The service was okay. We have to get up twice and ask for them to pick up our plates. Then, I was so surprised that there was an 11 year old girl soliciting in restaurant. She was asking us to buy $5 chocolate bars. I wouldn't go back to this Brazilian steakhouse. I would go to Fogo de Chao instead."

  • "The food is greasy, salty, bland, and over priced; but the service and ambience is good."

  • "The server was new. She had a good personality and tried hard. She needed a lot more training before letting her on the floor by her self. The meats were all well done. It was extremely disappointing. All the food was extremely salty. The place was hot. The ac was not on really cold, but then again it might have been done on so we not eat as much. I had been to this restaurant months after it opened and I had been happy knowing I had found a great Brazilian steakhouse. It's been sad knowing it has dropped in quality. I will probably never return. The restaurant has to be amazing to drive in the traffic at CC. I do love the open table feature."

  • "Texas de Brazil was our first time at a Brazilian churrascaria. The food is awesome and the dining experience is pretty unique. Our server was great, too. Our only complaint was that the place was very loud and we were seated awkwardly near the kitchen. However on a crowded Friday night we can't really complain. Overall recommended!"

  • "First time for us. Put in our Open table request for Houston Restaurant Weeks menu, but they did not pay attention and we had to get the bill redone at the end. Food was good, but not better than less-priced alternatives. Very Noisey to the point of uncomfortable."

  • "My wife and I went last Friday and it was a great experience. The food was pretty good minus a few options and our server was stellar. Definitely a place for ppl to eat a lot and enjoy many options at a decent price."

  • "When this restaurant opened staff was on point. I came back this week, and our waiter sucked. He was too slow kept forgetting to check on us. He was not professional. I had taken my fiancé to eat for his birthday. Total unacceptable since my other visits. I observed the other staff and they all goofed around. Staff should be on point and providing great customer service for an upscale restaurant. I can say I will prefer to go to chama gaucha, tradicao, or fogo de chao. Where staff is professional at what they do and not a mediocre staff."

  • "We celebrated my birthday here, its not the first time, so all I can say is that we all enjoyed it, would love more dry sparkling wine choices though. Food was good and overall a very pleasant evening. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends."

  • "I would recommend this place. Their salad bar is amazing! They have such great variety. The service was good, could be better. The ambiance was a little too loud for me to say that it was romantic. Overall, happy with the place. Some of the mears were too salty."

  • "Excellent Salad bar with different cold meats and cheeses. Food was enjoyable. Unfortunately their a/c had gone out earlier and it was uncomfortably hot to enjoy food and wine bottle we ordered. When bill arrived, I had to reiterate as I had done upon arrival we were doing Houston Restaurant Week Menu so it could be corrected. At the end for dessert paid full price because the options showed were not part of list. Something they need to clarify to the customer. Overall it was nice but will choose another restaurant over them."

  • "Brought my girlfriend to expereince Houston Restaurant Week as she had never been there before. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the bar and then were seated at our table as per our reservation. We sat at the table with absolutely no service for 15 mins. All the other tables around us were being served. I caught the attention of what turned out to be the General Manager and asked if there was someone assigned to wait on us. He was extremely rude and responded yes and proceeded to bring over water. I was not happy and asked him for his card so as to advise the restaurant. A waiter finally showed up and we had a nice meal but I was not impressed with having to sit there with no water and no service for 15 mins and then getting a rude GM."

  • "First off, we went there for Houston Restaurant Week so it was a great deal. I've been to many Brazilian Steakhouse with the same concept and this one was missing a couple of items that the others have as standard ex: lemonade, polenta cakes, etc... The meat was pretty tasty but the service could have been better. There were multiple meat cravers that just never came by our table. We had to go out of our way to grab a menu and see what meats we missed. It was also abnormally warm in the restaurant. All the ice in our waters melted very quickly. Would I come back- probably not. There are far better Brazilian steakhouse out there for the same price."

  • "Salad bar it had a variety of fresh vegetables and several soups. The meat was somewhat salty. I think they use that strategy so people can drink more water and eat less meat. I enjoyed the leg of lamb it was juicy and melt-in-your-mouth tender. I will definitely go back."

  • "Always a good experience. The food is always fresh and the service is always consistent. I have been to quite a few of these over the years and I am pleased with our experience at each one."

  • "This was an absolutely fascinating experience. Not only did they deliver the expectations set by their website... They exceeded them. The moment you enter you are amazed. The service, atmosphere and food are all equally wonderful. I cannot wait for my next visit."

  • "I've been in other two locations (Orlando and Miami), and I could say that the level of service, food and quality is amazing. The only area that you can have room for improvement is the salad bar if I remember good is smaller and it does not have as many items (salads, soups and appetizers) like the others two."

  • "Everyone seems to compare everything to Fogo de Chao when talking about churrascaria's in Houston because it was the first successful one. Just because it was the first successful one, doesn't mean it's what's churrascaria's are supposed to be. Texas de Brazil is, so far, the best churrascaria we've been to in Houston. Meats were cooked perfectly, came VERY fast and were all seasoned perfectly. Salad bar had a great selection and the black beans were excellent. To put it simply, the food was amazing."

  • "very good food, and service, but if you want to conversate or have a romantic dinner go elsewhere. It is very noisy like a fast food restaurant not like a $50/person dinner restaurant"

  • "My sister and I took our mother for her bday. We all loved it (mom is very picky). The drinks were great and the food was DELISH. The waitstaff was one of the best in town. Omg please try the carrot cake (I usually dont like carrot cake) but you could smell the butter and cinnamon. Oh also the Filet Mignon melts in your mouth. Come hungry and enjoy as much ad possible."

  • "A very special thank you goes to Pedro and Hamilton for their warm hospitality and professionalism and for making my wife's birthday dinner a memorable occasion. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my wife's birthday dinner was the best it could be. Juan, the waiter, never treated our party with anything less than the utmost professionalism."

  • "We really enjoy Texas de Brazil at City Centre. We have been to similar restaurants in the area and prefer Texas de Brazil. In my opinion the food is comparable, as is the price to the other high end restaurants. However at Texas de Brazil the servers are more attentive, it is quieter and less packed in, and the continuous stream of meat coming out is excellent. The salad bar is top quality also!"

  • "My sister had been to a location in Florida and insisted we visit the Houston location since she was visiting and we just moved here. We all had been to Taste of Texas and loved it. This was beyond! The decor is amazing but eventually the floral's did aggravate our allergies, but the salad bar was AMAZING! The meat was delicious and glad to hear that we can send some meat back to up the temperature for particular eaters. What was most impressive was the staff. Each and every one of them. So courteous and professional.. ALL of the staff. I think the staff seriously heightened the experience with all the personal attention. P.S. The dessert martini's are truly awesome."

  • "We recently dined at Texas de Brazil and had a wonderful evening. The salad bar was fun and there were lots of choices. We especially enjoyed the filet and ribs. The lobster bisque was very flavorful. Our waiter, Sammy, helped guide us through the experience, as we were new to this type of dining. He was outstanding."
