A word from Terzo
Terzo (which means third in Italian) offers a daily changing menu of about 15 small plates and 5 large plates. Its “pan-Mediterranean” fare is under the care of Executive Chef Mark Gordon. The wine list offers over 80 options of European and Californian wines chosen to pair with the food.

>A high table sits between the bar and dining room and offers communal style seating for up to 10 diners. Additional walk-in seating is available on 3 high tops in the front window. Espresso leather banquets line the dining room. A more intimate back dining room can be booked for private parties of up to 18.

Inspired by the wine bars and cafes of Sicily, Rome, Seville & Madrid, wines are stored along the walls of the dining room. An original fireplace was refurbished and is lit when the weather is chilly out. Stylish lighting creates a chic atmosphere.

  • "It is listed as a Mediterranean restaurant but there was barely anything Mediterranean on the menu. All three of us ordered the steak since the menu is limited and nothing else appealled to us. The dish is recommended medium rare but was still undercooked and so chewy, the special steak knife I got wouldn't even cut through it, needless to say all was not eaten. The chimichurri sauce was actually good, very fresh. A little over powering though. We shared the flourless chocolate cake desert which was rather tasty."

It was comfortable and cozy so we could take our time and really "dine". Every dish was excellent: mahi-mahi with fresh dill, organic free range steak, and chicken on a skewer. Salads were plentiful and fresh. We tried their panna cota for the first time and it was delicious: light and creamy. Our waitress was friendly and professional - just the right touch. Overall, a perfect dining experience."

We found our gem in the Marina!"

  • "We are big fans of Terzo and go about twice a month. We haven't tired of the small plates and usually have five or six together with a pasta. The menu changes at least weekly so new items are always coming on depending on whats fresh and in season. We love the creativity of Chef Mark. He is also willing to share a tip or two, though, when I try stuff at home, it doesn't quite match what he's doing. (I guess that's what professional training and access to the best ingredients does.) The staff is excellent. They are friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and very professional. Nicole always remembers what we order and everyone on the floor is friendly and welcoming. All of this is the reflection of a well run operation with excellent food."

Not dainty little tapas, but substantial courses suitable for sharing that allowed for variety and lack of fillers on the plate. Helpful waitress: spot-on, casual but highly professional service.   • "We picked this restaurant from a list of places not far from BATS Improv at Fort Mason. We were enticed by the yummy menu and Terzo did not disappoint! It was a great dinner, start to finish. Friendly staff, fantastic food and a nice ambiance. We sat in the smaller back room which I think is quieter than the main dining area and that worked perfectly for us. We didn't have time to try out dessert, but everything we had - minestrone soup, beet salad, hummus & pita, chicken & bread skewers - was delicious and I would definitely return!"

  • "We just went back to Terzo for a birthday dinner with five of us, and it was really delicious. We are in our late 50's, so a little older than the average diner there, but the only issue with that is the noise. It did get a little loud, but not so bad that we won't go back. The food was incredible. I had the yellow mushrooms over polenta and the arugula salad. What a perfect pairing. Others had the gnocchi, soup, grilled calamari and pork loin. All superb. Really fully explored flavors. The wine was quite good, and their ginger lemon tea actually has bits of lemon and ginger in a little iron teapot that they keep refilling. Desserts were good as well. The apple crisp was a big hit, and I had three flavors of ice cream that were delish."

  • "I needed a place for a part work, part pleasure, double date. I knew Terzo was not pricey but I hoped that the atmosphere, service and food quality would be good enough to impress my guests. The staff at Terzo over-delivered again. Everything about the evening was excellent. We shared the Moroccan Chicken, Steak and several small dishes. The food and service was awesome. The check was 25% lower than it would've been at a comparable restaurant. For a small business owner, I truly appreciated the experience."

  • "The Host was not the most pleasant or accommodating when we arrived early evening on New Years Eve with our dinner reservation made in advance with a request near the fireplace. We were stuck in the middle of the walkway with no other choice ...The skirt steaks we ordered came rare (we ordered medium well)...The coffee served to my guest from our waitress...was turned over by a waiter rushing thru the isle,needless to say the hot coffee was spilled in the lap of my guest.... Our experience was not pleasant and the attitude of the Hostess was unforgivable...If it wasnt for New Years Eve we would have walked out and went some where else in the neighborhood."
