A word from Terracotta Red
We are truly excited to be a part of downtown Everett's dining scene. Our goal is to not only thrive as a distinguished neighborhood restaurant, but also as a destination for surrounding communities with food, family and celebration as our driving force.
Our cooking style centers on traditional Asian dishes created with "fresh ingredients from local farmers and suppliers". Our executive chef, Jimmy Liang, is classically trained in the European style and has worked at many of the most prestigious restaurants in the area including the Herb Farm. We pride ourselves on creating distinctive dishes utilizing multiple layers of cooking techniques and flavors. We call it "Modern Asian Cooking".
A heartfelt "thank you" goes out to family, friends and community members who continue to embrace us.

  • "We had friends in from AZ and Terracotta Red was a great Asian Fusion experience to pull them away from their Tex-mex habits. We shared all dishes and they were all great. They were a little slow getting a wine refill to one of our party, so they topped up all our wines so we would be timed together - wonderful!!"

  • "My wife and I asked to be re-seated in the lounge area due to the excessive noise in the dining area. The lounge was almost empty when we arrived, but got busier as we enjoyed our meal, and is quieter due to the wall between it and the dining area. My wife was at Terracotta Red once in 2010 and said the dining area was extremely noisy but the food excellent then. If you plan to have a conversation, don't, because you can't, without almost yelling, but you will certainly enjoy the outstanding food! On this, my first visit myself, I have to agree, it's very noisy, and if you are looking for a nice quiet meal, I don't recommend Terracotta Red. On the other hand, the food and the service is absolutely outstanding!"

  • "Over all a quite good experience. My party of three showed up about a half hour early for our 7:00 resy on a Friday night." No problem" the Hostess said, " Let's get you fed". Pleasantly surprised by the positive response. Excellent overall service, prompt and efficient. Server was helpful in aiding with menu suggestions. Our water glasses were always kept full. Food was quite tasty and came out QUICK!. Kitchen was on it. Enjoyed some of the left overs for lunch today. The pork tenderloin dish was excellent. I'll be back. Nice work."

  • "We decided to give this place a try on date night. I was not happy with sitting in the middle of the room but i dealt with it. I ordered the drunken chicken which is just deep fried pieces in a sauce which although was very tasty needed something to balance all the meat. I ordered a side of vegetables after our meal came and they brought them within a couple min. I would go back and try something else and maybe go for lunch to be a bit more affordable. I had 40.00 worth of open table certificates to use and after that our bill was still 30.00 too much for dinner with lack of ambiance."

  • "The resteraunt was recommended to me by my mother. She said it was a small place and it would be perfect for dinner before the big night of senior prom. I have to admit it was a little louder than I would have hoped but it wasn't too bad. The only thing that was unsatisfactory would have to be the Mongolian Beef. The Mongolian Beef is supposed to be one of their specialties .. But I have to admit the beef was very chewy and had to be either swallowed whole or chewed for a long time. However, my date ordered the drinken chicken dish and it was fantastic! I wish I would have ordered that for myself..."

  • "This was our first time in the restaurant, I loved the idea of making the reservations on line and I had to make a change on the time with no hassles, our waitress was amazing, smiling and fast with our demands.. not saying we were demanding. It was a little loud but that's what makes it more friendly. Thank you again for the great experience. ,"

  • "Love the ability to go on line for reservations, very 21st Century. Staff was excellent and service was very good. Menu was very complete and the Drunken Chicken had just enough punch to kick it to the next level! Bravo!! The only down side was the noise in the dining room. Most people apparently need to shout at each other rather than speak in normal conversational tones, but that's just a pet peeve of mine. That being said, looking forward to returning soon and enjoying another wonderful meal."

  • "My husband and I were here on a date night, we had plans after dinner and had about 1.5 hours for dinner and driving time. figured it would be enough time. Silly us didn't realize that there was a local hockey game going on and the restaurant was swamped with take out orders. Sadly we felt those take outs took higher priority to in house customers and we sat for a while waiting on our meal. when it arrived though, AMAZING! the restaurant is an open concept so it gets loud in there. do not expect a quiet personal experience. however it has its own romantic charm. We will be back for sure! would love to test out more of their menu. also if you are unsure, ask your wait staff! ours was very helpful in helping us decide."

  • "I LOVE terracotta red!! Their food is AMAZING, I recommend the five spice pork tenderloin, the drunken chicken, tangerine beef, and Mongolian beef. The service was great, I've been there four times now and every time the food is delicious, the service is good, and the ambience is, well, boisterous when its busy! Open table online reservations unfortunately did not work, they said its an ongoing problem. They fit us in anyways :)"

  • "Wow! My wife and I just tried a new recommendation from a co-worker. The food was awesome, by far the best Asian food in the Everett area. We had the Drunken Chicken and it was awesome, we also had the Heaven & Earth, Thai Noodles, and Carmalized Prawns, all were excellent. We sat in the kitchen area which was a little loud but entertaining, and our service was very good as well. We now have a new favorate place in Everett to take friends and family. Make reservations as the place was full."

  • "I had never been to Terracotta Red until I was given a gift card for the restaurant. My date and I were excited to try multiple selections from the menu. We shared Samoas, Spicy Prawns, a Chicken and Spinach dish, a side of garlic noodles, a side of rice, and an order of bread pudding to go. Everything was fantastic and great for sharing. Would definitely dine at T.R. again."

  • "We generally go down to the waterfront if we're in Everett, but Terracotta Red is an excellent alternative over on the east side of downtown. The food is great and the portions are very generous. It has kind of a New York ambience - noisy and crowded - on a Saturday night. But the service was very attentive without being overbearing even though our waitress was also taking care of a big birthday party in the back room. We'll be going back."

  • "Terra Cotta Red is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I have enjoyed every dish I have ever had there. The ONLY issue I ever have is the noise. It would be beneficial for them if they installed some noise dampening panels. I a slightly hard of hearing and dislike having to lean forward and ask "what?" as frequently as I have to when dining there. It won't stop me from going back, but it would make the dining experience more pleasurable."

  • "We made a reservation for 5 pm but didn't need it to get seated. service was nonexistence for some time. When someone did stop by to get our order my wife ordered tea and off she went and was back very soon with the tea. However I felt like we should have ordered every thing at once so we could get this dinner on. Again we waited. When we were able to order things went much faster. The food was very good and I would come back for it. The chef is on it! If the wait staff was more attentive, this could have been more memorable."

  • "The food is almost always perfect. This night, it was not. The biggest dissapointment was the Mongolian Beef. When we ordered it, our server said, "Brocolli Beef?" We said, "No, Mongolian Beef." When she walked away, we thought we heard her repeat, "Brocolli Beef" but we weren't sure. Everything but the beef dish was delivered to our table and our server said, "Enjoy!" However, we hadn't gotten the beef dish yet. We reminded her that it was Mongolian Beef, and she returned with Brocolli Beef. So, back to the kitchen, only to return with an acrid, black dish of burnt beef, beans and peppers. It would have been sent back if not for our friends who didn't want to make a fuss. A dish like this should have never left the kitchen."

  • "Excellent food. Terracotta Red was very busy the day I there and most seem to be regulars. The spicy prawns with green beans was so very good. My one compliant was the noise. People had to speak loudly just to be heard across the table. Management needs to address this issue,"

  • "I have dined at Terracotta Red 4-5 times now, and it never disappoints. It is seriously the best chinese food in the area. My husband and I recently took his parents out to dinner here, and they were blown away. Between us, we ordered the short ribs and potstickers for an appetizer (sadly, the pork belly was sold out for the night), the Mongolian Beef, Tangerine Beef, Honey Walnut Prawns and Drunken Chicken, plus sides of their cucumber salad and broccoli with garlic. For dessert, we ordered the donuts with passionfruit sauce (another item not to be missed), the chocolate panna cotta, and chocolate espresso torte. All fabulous! The noise level is always high and the waitstaff hurried, but the food more than makes up for it."

  • "I went there for the first time for dinner. What can I say. The food portions and price were great. Spent time with my wife and friends and shared four different meals. (all very good) The appetizers we had were very good. The service was friendly, efficient, and in no way overbearing. We arrived early for our reservation and were seated immediately. We spent approximately 2 hours there, we never felt as though they needed us to hurry up and move along. It was very easy to carry on conversation at our table. If you have not experienced this place yet, you are missing out! I recommend a reservation only because from what we could see there may be limited seating at times. We will definitely be dining there again."

  • "We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary here. We wanted some place locally as we are trying our best to support the local economy. The cool thing was that the restaurant was also a member of Dining Dough, so we could use one of our coupons. After eating there, the coupon was nice, but I'll be eating there again, coupon or not. The meal was wonderful. Meals are prepared for sharing and everything we had, from the lettuce wraps and chicken satay appetizers to our entrees Drunken Chicken and Heaven and Earth, were fresh, hot, and unique tastes. We ate too much, but what else could we do? Everything was that good. Our waitperson was energetic and took care of us. I was able to speak to the chefs and they were sociable and appreciative."

  • "We were travelling in the Everett area and found Terracotta Red on open table near our hotel. We arrived at 8:30pm, and there were only two other tables occupied at the restaurant. The portions were oversized and the flavors were drowned out in soupy sauces. The highlight was the steamed bok choy - simple and not over flavored with sauces. We didn't each half of our individual portions. Options for vegetarians were limited and there were only two fish dishes, so if you orient this way, you will not be highly satisfied with this restaurant. Otherwise, the décor is pretty with beautifully painted walls."

  • "What a surprise! An older building with no identifying exterior characteristics and inside, a somber design that has been molded into one that grows on you slowly. Noisy but somehow one if which I could hear conversations. So when the food came, any reservations melted away. Everything was fresh, tasty, and perfectly done. The service was not sophisticated but friendly and efficient, a down home feel. Looking forward to trying something new there next time and there will be a next time."

  • "Sure, Wild Ginger is amazing, but Terracotta Red is not too far behind and is a heck of lot easier to get to. We took Mom for dinner on Mother's Day and found a spot on the street right outside the restaurant after an easy drive up I-5 to Everett (a lot better than dealing with traffic going into Seattle on weekends). My two teenage kids loved the food, as did my wife and I. Pan-asian. Lots of variety and interesting tastes. Cool old building and an energetic vibe. Every north-ender should check this place out, though I think the many regular patrons who are Everett locals want to keep TCR a secret."
