  • "We had the most delightful dinner, sitting at the bar, at Terra Plata. The dining room is contemporary and bright, yet warm and inviting. The service is perfect, and most important the food and wine are terrific. Starting with service: nothing better than a server who, when asked which entree he prefers, doesn't automatically pick the most expensive one! There's honesty. The wine list provides a great range of prices (and happened to have some of our most favorite wines) so that you don't have to spend $120 for a bottle! And the food was just delicious. The next time we are in Seattle, this is our 'go to' spot. LOVED it (and I'm picky)."

I've never had any complaints or issues with anything I've ordered. Tying everything together nicely is the restaurant itself. It's got such a fun shape, and they've managed to fit in a lot of seating without it feeling squished."

  • "Everything we had was delicious from the olives to the garbanzo beans to the halibut and my drink called the Rachel something was outstanding. I had to drink it because my name is also Rachel. Actually I had to drink too. The restaurant is very cool looking made materials and with a unique style. My only complaint was that are very nice weeder seemed overwhelmed and frequently took a while to get to us. He was lovely but we had to wait for food bill. Otherwise great experience and I would definitely go back. A little pricey."

  • "When we went to Terra Plata, we got a table outside on the rooftop deck. It started to sprinkle and we went downstairs. We thought the downstairs was a little boring and the waitress we had was a little dry. It stopped sprinkling and we decided to take our chance and go back upstairs. They were very gracious about us moving yet again. Anyway, we were very happy about that because the ambiance was completely different and Jonathon (our waiter) was amazing. We loved our food, too. I definitely will go back, but only in nice weather."

We were a party of 8 and ordered at least 1 or more of everything and walked away hungry. I love the idea of farm to table but disappointed that the menu is meant to be shared yet the plates are less than plentiful. The tastes were good but not memorable."

  • "Our dining was almost ruined by the poor management of a reservation I made 2 weeks prior. We were crammed into a community table in a very loud part of the restaurant. I requested to be moved to a private table, which was accommodated, because the main restaurant was nearly empty, but not pleasantly by the host. Reservations should never be for a communal table. Food was tasty, our server was fabulous, and we especially appreciated the wine recommendation. It was unbelievable. Each time I've been to terra plata, I've left thinking that the veggie dishes are much better than the meat or seafood. Our halibut was nice, but tough. The pork had good flavor, but still wasn't my favorite. The potato chips were surprisingly a standout starter!"

  • "Made our reservation via Open Table and requested outdoor seating for an anniversary dinner. The staff personalized our celebration from the initial greeting, personalized menu, and excellent service throughout the evening. They even comped our champagne cocktail! Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Use of local fresh ingredients (right down to the floral garnishes from the rooftop garden) made this a memorable dining experience."

  • "From start to finish, fabulous. Blistered Chilies are a must!! This time was Paella Night, with amazing tapas and desserts to match. A fresh, light Ensalada Verde along with the Patatas Bravas and those Blistered Chilies all awakened taste buds on different levels. The Chilies are beautiful, long and green and sea-salted then fired and drizzled with aioli, yum. Ensalada Verde balanced the chilies with its raw pureness. The Patatas Bravas of roasted potatoes in a Spanish red sauce (with pork in the sauce) and a lemon aioli lovely == I am a vegetarian, my sister/dinnermate is not, so I ate the potatoes on the top & avoided the sauce, she enjoyed the sauced ones, both of us very happy. Paella and desserts all amazing! Cannot go wrong here!"

  • "I reserved a large table nearly a month ago for my birthday at Terra Plata - It wasn't my first time there but certainly the first "large group" I've had there. We were fortunate enough to have a rooftop table to accommodate us. The pace was certainly not rushed and everyone had only good things to say about the dinner. Eryn took great care of us and flawlessly worked around food allergies, various cocktail requests, etc. Thank you for being so accommodating - the personalized menus were a nice touch as well."

  • "The menu promised more than the plate delivered. I left feeling hungry and out of pocket. The risotto was bland, the roast pig with potatoes and chorizo had only 2 potatoes and one slice of chorizo broken into small pieces. The goat's cheese salad was little more than a few leaves with a sprinkling of almonds and cheese. The salmon faired slightly better and was tasty, but none of the dishes gave a balanced meal, and even sharing four plates still failed to do this. The waitress was intimidating. We hadn't seen each other for almost 10 years, so were keen to catch up without someone trying to take our order ever 3 minutes. She should look for signs before approaching. On the plus side, the decor was elegant and the roof terrace well done."

  • "The food was exceptional but the unfortunately the service did not match. We asked to change tables (were seated in the back, under open windows on a chilly night, next to the bathrooms). They did close the windows but then two people gave us two stories about why we couldn't move to a table that was open. Felt like we were getting the runaround. Our server was not very attentive and when we asked about one of the WA wines she basically told us she was not a fan of WA wines! This was after we told her that we wanted a WA wine because our guest is from NY and her daughter had written about Terra Plata in her food blog. The food was delicious but the attitude could use some work."

  • "The rooftop deck is one of the best in the city! If you eat at Terra Plata, be sure it's on a nice day so you can take advantage of it! The food was good, but WAY overpriced. I was actually really surprised at the prices. $25 for an arugula & porcini mushroom salad? $28 for a chicken dish. The food was very good, however, did not equate with the prices."

  • "I was looking for a place to commemorate a bittersweet occasion, so a friend recommended Terra Plata as a nice place in her neighborhood. I wanted a small restaurant with good food, a glass of bubbly, and thoughtful service in a nice setting. That us exactly what we found. The paella and other dishes were so tasty that I kept saying "Thus is sooo good." all through the meal. I will definitely go back. I wonder if their other meals can match the paella."

  • "We had a great experience last Sunday having dinner on the outside rooftop! Everything went very well from the greeting at the door, to getting to sit upstairs, to our waiter and the food! We shared everything from the blistered peppers, potato chips and charcuterie plate to all the vegetables on the menu and culminating with the hanger steak, halibut and risotto! We liked how everyone worked together and served the food as it was ready and how our waiter continued to check on us to make sure everything was okay. Our waiter was fairly new, but was excellent with service and knowing the menu! All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our evening!"

  • "I came here for light food and drinks. Service wasn't terrible in my opinion, but it wasn't good. Our drinks did take awhile to come out which I found a little weird. The drinks came out about 5 mins before our food.... We wanted dessert, but our server didn't even ask us about it and I had to ask him for the dessert menu. He wasn't rude or anything, just not very welcoming/friendly..."

  • "I made reservations on Open Table and the called the morning of our reservation to see if we could sit on the roof terrace. I had to adjust my time slightly but they handled it no problem. This was for our anniversary & I mentioned that hoping for a nice table. When we got there, they immediately greeted us with a "happy anniversary" and took us up to the roof top where we could have a drink and wait for our table to be cleared. While there, the owner and manager came to talk to us & wish us happy anniversary too. When we got our menus, it actually said "happy anniversary" at the top! Nice touch. It was as if everyone really enjoyed being & working there. Okay, so that is the experience, but the food and specialty cocktails were amazing."

  • "Don't miss the porcini mushroom/pea shoot salad! Grilled salmon with cous cous was also wonderful. Fresh garbanzo beans (in shells) were tasty and innovative but messy to eat. They encourage sharing and food comes out "as it's ready", which is a little awkward, but allowed us to try a variety of dishes without breaking the bank. Service was excellent. My only complaint is that the tables were set a little close to each other and the room was loud, which made conversation a little difficult."

The food was great and the upper deck was fun as there are not many places for outside dining in Seattle on a nice night. It is fun to watch the chef come up to the roof deck and pick various greens to add to a dish."

  • "Terra Plata has a rooftop dining that is wonderful. The menu is poor. I ordered the Hanger Steak and it was cut into 3 chunks. We had an off putting experience in that when I called the restaurant after making reservations through Open table. They assured me that we would get Roof top seating. However when I got there they told me there were no tables available on the roof. they then tried to seat us next to the kitchen and bathrooms which I declined. Then they tried to place us nest to a street window which we reluctantly accepted. Finally they said there was a table upstairs. When we went upstairs there more than 6 tables available!!! "

The roll up doors make for a great indoor/outdoor mix and allows the passing pedestrians to drool at the wonderful food offerings without being in your laps."
