  • "My husband and I usually don't go to the same restaurant, we love to try new places. We always seem to find ourselves going back to Temper on a regular basis. Our favorite go to dishes are the steak bites, Mac n cheese and of course the BEST creamed corn ever! Each time we go, we make it a goal to try 1 new dish on the menu. We aren't big wine drinkers so we were so happy when they started serving craft beer. They have an AMAZING selection too. The coffee is pretty AMAZING too! The whole place & experience is great! I just wish they were closer to us so we could go even more."

  • "This is one of the "best kept secrets" in the area. The food quality, service, and selection is positively above average. It's not a huge restaurant, which clearly keeps in line with the goal of the staff, chefs, and owners - provide an intimate, high quality experience without cutting corners. Be sure to make a reservation when the patio isn't open (which is easy to do online). I will definitely be going back!"

  • "This little gem hits the spot if you are looking for tapas. The food is well prepared, but a bit on the pricy side so I have to reserve visits to special occasions. My only issue is that both times I have been the service has been a bit slow which always surprises me since they are such a small restaurant. The last time we visited it took almost 10 minutes before the waitress came to take our drink orders. However, it does feel that they are prompt at bringing the food out as it is ready."

  • "Temper Grill is one of my favorite places so I took a couple of friends who haven't been there. They loved it! We can't wait to go back and try something new. We all agreed the scallops were the best, but the lobster bites and lamb pops were outstanding also. Then we topped it off with the truffles.... It was a very nice night and I'm looking to go back soon."

  • "This was our first visit to Temper Grill. We had heard good things about the place and gave it a try. The whole experience seemed a bit pretentious. The food was very over priced for the portion and taste. Steak was tough and the shrimp were rubbery. I will not be visiting again anytime soon."

  • "My husband and I we love this place, but on Saturday I decideded ton invite some friends that hadn't been their before to try it out . It wasn't a great experience for them that night. We arrived there at 6:55 because we had reservations at 7:00 we did not eat until 8:45. We were their long before some of the other people and they got served before us which I found strange. We never received the Mac and cheese that we ordered and I was so eagar for my friends to try it . We feel we came to eat and have a good time but after not getting our food until 2 hours later we were just ready to go home. Maybe it will be better next time."

  • "This restaurant is amazing. Everything we tried was made perfectly. They have very large portions for being a tapas restaurant. It's like eating in a 5 star restaurant with 3 or 4 star prices. The steak chimmichuri was absolutely delicious. The duck bites were our second favorite. If you are there early enough the pork belly is an absolute must (order early because they do run out of this extremely popular) and the potatoes in duck fat are absolutely amazing. They have a great wine list and microbrews menu. The servers are all very knowledgeable, and you NEVER feel rushed no matter how busy they are. Chef Kelley is hands down the top chef in the area. I honestly cannot think of one thing you could change to make our experience better."

  • "My husband and I were here about a month ago on a Wednesday night with another couple and everything was fantastic! This time, however, we were here at 7pm on a Friday night and it was not the same. It was not nearly as busy and the ambiance was lacking. The food was not as good this time around. We ordered a few repeats from our last visit and some new ones. While the flatbread was out favorite, the menu said it came with prosciutto. Ours was topped with ham; looked like the prediced bagged kind available at the grocery store. After our first few tapas out waitress neglected us for 15 minutes. My husband was out of water and we were hoping to order more food. I hope this was just an off night."

  • "Temper Grille has totally redefined our view on food. The lobster bites are THE BEST thing my husband and I have ever eaten!!! When you try Temper Grille, don't overthink it. Be open-minded, leave what you thought you knew about food at the door, and just enjoy the experience. Take your time, close your eyes, savor every bite. Let your palette really take it all in. Try things out of your box. We've had lobster/duck bites, edamame, red pepper hummus, Mac n cheese, Chilean sea bass, and asparagus. They've all been surprisingly delicious and we have plans to go back with friends SOON! Chef Sean is an ingenious artist when it comes to food. Give him a shot and leave your skepticism at home. You will leave with a changed perspective on cuisine!"

  • "Servers/staff - friendly and accommodating. Spinach dip - fair. Salad - fair, nothing special. Lobster mac - very disappointing; barely any lobster meat; price not justified. Crab cakes - small and under cooked; sauce for crab cakes was good. Chocolate truffles - had much better, but pleasing. So five different menu items, four beers, and tip for $100....money wasted. Will we go back...highly unlikely."

  • "For a restaurant that prides itself in reservations, I was unimpressed. The wait staff wore short sleeve shirts, low midriff, and forgot parts of our order. The restaurant was small and we were placed at a table near the front door which was cold and drafty. My wife and I dressed up and felt that we had overdressed. Most of the dining guests arrived in t-shirts and jeans. The food was good, but small portioned and not worth $70. We went across the street to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse to have dessert, which saved the night for us. This restaurant does have a niche crowd, but they MUST advertise it as a preppy college hangout, or as an upscale Applebee's. NOT as a romantic place to take your bride."

  • "I have been to Temper Grille a few times. I love the food and I love the atmosphere. This past time, however when I went I was bringing a newbie. I had made reservations 2 weeks in advance and when we arrived, the place was busy and our seat had somehow been taken. One of the servers tried putting us in this back room that was just cramped and so quiet. You could hear all the conversations going on at each of the tables. My boyfriend and I ended up going to sit at the bar, and then again ended up moving when a woman (a patron) asked us if we could move over one more spot for her and a friend, we did. So, we ended up literally sitting by the kitchen door and had to hear the knocks every time food was up from from the grill for the servers."

  • "Some of the best dishes you will ever have. The creamed corn is to die for and the mac and cheese is the best I've ever had. It goes without saying the creamed corn is probably the best in the world. We made our reservation through Opentable.com and although they had our reservation, a table never did open up for us, so after about 45 minutes of standing in the restaurant we were able to get a seat at the bar and ate our dinner there. The layout of the restaurant is a big drawback and a restaurant this good deserves a better seating arrangement but the space prohibits it. Hopefully they'll move to a bigger space soon because the food is always outstanding. Half price wine on Tuesday and some great beers available for $2 on Wednesday"
