We made reservations through open table. However, Taverna Opa doesn't take reservations for Fri or Sat. evenings, just priority seating. We arrived at our scheduled "reservation" only to have to wait 90 that's right NINETY minutes for a table. It wasn't until I complained three times that they seated us. The main problem is that once the entertainment starts, nobody wants to leave, even if they've already finished their meal. It put a major damper on our evening. Especially with a handicapped person in our party. A table of 15 including 10 kids dancing on the table stayed an extra hour. On busy nights they should have policy.

The key for dining with this age was we made reservations for 6:30 and were done by 8:30. The girls still got the Opa experience of the belly dancer and dancing on the tables and we were out of there just as the bar was picking up and the adults wanting to enjoy their libations were coming in. Great outdoor dining space also if you dont want the noise and music inside. Food was fresh and tasty. The entertainment was great fun, but be sure you go later in the evening so as not to miss it. I believe it started about 7:30 or 8:00. Wish there was an opportunity for all to dance around the restaurant at some point in the show. We all had a fantastic time! The food was amazing, the waiter fantastic, and the atmosphere was so fun! There wasn't one thing that didn't taste great. This has become our favorite restaurant for celebrations. I've never left a restaurant where I looked back days later and had a smile from the fun and great food we had.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
