Diner Reviews
  • "This is my new Italian favorite in town, not overcrowded and pretentious. The fresh pasta is incredibile. Bravo!"

  • "We came here for a Valentine's Day meal, and ordered the cheese & salumi plate, and mussels to start. The cheese & salumi plate was okay, but I would not get it again - there were only two/three varieties of cheese and four thin slices of salumi. The mussels had good seasoning and were not overdone. For the entrees, we had the pasta with the octopus ragu, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the veal scalloppine, cooked well but we would've liked a bigger portion. As I spoke with the host earlier in the week to confirm the reservation was for a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, and Valentine's Day), we were a little disappointed in our meal."

  • "We were just in the area and spontaneously decided to eat at this Taverna. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. (The pictures from their website don't do any justice) I highly recommend the crostini and the bufala mozzarella. They are great plates to share. The pasta was fresh and al dente. Overall the menu had an interesting selection. I wish we had enough space left for dessert. But there will be a next time for sure."

  • "The food was very good, and the red wine complemented the meal. Service was excellent. Will go again. The physical appearance can put you off a bit..."

  • "One of the best dining experiences I have had. The food was fantastic and when one person couldn't decide between two dishes, they let him order half of one and half of the other. Pasta is delicious and fresh. There is also a larger table for big parties where you can order pre fixe food and wine."

  • "I wish I would've discovered this place before deciding to move out of LES! I went there for date night on a Friday and the staff was very sweet and friendly. Everything was delicious; we had the the bruscette and generous portions of taglierini and paccheri. {They have happy hour until 8pm} I will definitely go back... Soon!"

  • "Tried Taverna di Bacco after reading positive reviews. Had dinner with a group of friends on a Wednesday night in October. Place was quiet, service was friendly and helpful. The regular menu + daily specials is extensive. Wine list has plenty of fairly priced choices. They only serve beer & wine, no hard drinks. The ambiance of the restaurant is great, very rustic. Everyone in my party, all foodies, were very happy with all the appetizers and entrees as they were extremely tasty. I had the braised lamb braciola which was excellent. There is also a nicely lit back garden which is worth trying in warm weather. Overall Taverna di Bacco is a winner that I hope to revisit again and again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED."

  • "The reviews were so good we had to try this place The look of the restaurant was really nice and the garden was perfectly lit. The apptz were good. We got the bruschetta which was perfectly seasoned and the buffalo mozz.. However when it came to the meals they actually had to cook, things to a big turn south. I had the chicken and it was so dry and tough and like warm at best. Presentation was certainly lacking too. Friends has gnocchi which was overcooked and soggy and another had the veal which was like my chicken tough salty and chilled. I really wanted to like this place because the owner was super nice and the ambience was great but I just couldn't ."

Authentic Italian - my husband kept saying "this is just like my Grandmothers" We'll be back when we are in town."
