  • "My wife and I Ate at Sullivan's last Saturday because I had received a Gift-Card from work due to performance. While this place is spendy for your average blue-collar family, the enviornment was very quiet / romantic and it really set the mood for a night out on the town without our kids. I also have to say that the service was stellar, and would defintely recommend this restaurant to others."

The price makes it a rare occurrence for these conservative Nebraskans. Bottom line--we look forward to our 1-2 times a year visit!"

  • "The property was nice. The food was pretty good although not as good as other restaurants in the area in this high end steakhouse category. The service was extremely poor. The server did not have knowledge of the fine liquors and wines, tried to upsell on wine and entrees after we had already ordered our selections. Many of the female servers weren't dressed consistent with the image of an upscale establishment."

  • "My wife and I enjoy making It a Special Evening by having Dinner at Sullivans then taking in a show at the Holland Center. The people at Sullivan's always do their part to ,make IT special. The Valet parking works great when you include the show, just a 2 block walk, the waitress was great and the food was terrific."

  • "I had a very important business dinner to schedule and I chose Sullivan’s Steakhouse in downtown Omaha. My guests were executives from Italy looking to expand their product offering into the domestic US. Coming to the Midwest for the first time - they wanted to experience a good steak. We had 12 oz fillets which cut like butter and cooked to perfection. We added a seasonal side of stone crab which was like being in Miami. The service was fabulous. The wine selection was complimentary to our food selection. The service was second to none. It was one of the best business dining experiences I have ever experienced. Kudos to the management and the great staff in Omaha!"

  • "We had a 8 o'clock reservation but did not get seated tell 8.45. The staff was friendly and the bar is a nice distraction while waiting with some soft jazz and an excellent waitress. Staff was attentive and aware of the delay but we had a birthday party to get to so caused us to be late. Once seated the food was good as always and our waitress did a good job."

  • "We tried Sullivan's for the first time for Valentine's. They had a $99 special running for two people, but we ordered off the menu because we wanted to try some things not included in the special. I ordered sea bass, my husband ordered steak, and we shared a deviled egg appetizer and white cheddar au gratin potatoes (family style side). The entrees and deviled eggs were great; the au gratin potatoes were very good, but not the best we've ever had. He had key lime pie, which was ok (we'll try coconut or bananas foster next time). I had a dessert drink (I think it was called Sullivan's Nightcap) with decaf coffee, some liqueurs, and cream. It was awesome! It's too pricey to go back every date night, but we will go back again!"

  • "I enjoyed our dinner at Sullivan's. Only reason I did not give them 5 stars was because, I asked the gal that was seating us if we could have a booth. She said "NO". I really wanted a booth or table where we were not in the middle of all the traffic. I thought that for our Post Valentine's date, it was not as Romantic, the ambience and over all feel was busy and loud. Seeting was very close to other couples. I was not a big fan of the choclate mousse. I did like that one of the Manager's there offered his knowledge on our Wine selection. He also gave us a $25 gift certificate for our next visit. :-)"

  • "To start, having a reservation is a must! It's a great feeling to know they are expecting you and they have everything prepared. As soon as we walked in, the hostess was very attentive and had a great attitude. Our server was very informative and had a high level of energy throughout the night. You definitely need to prepare yourself for 3 courses because the menu is loaded with dynamite options. All of their signature items feel fresh and made to order. Nothing left under a heating lamp. Our waiter pretty much read our minds and made it really feel like a special anniversary dinner. They have extensive drink specials. Overall I have nothing negative to say except you should be prepared for an above average bill, but well worth it."

  • "My husband and I went to Sullivans for Valentine's Day. We had an 8 o'clock reservation and didn't get in until 820. They put us in the basement area where they stuffed a bunch of tables into the wine cellar. They must have ran out of candles as a Tea-light was the only decor on our table. It was 10 minutes or so before the waiter came. And then another 10 minutes before he brought our drinks. It was a set menu ($50/plate). The main course and sides were warm not hot and the bread was burnt. The table next to us hadn't even got their food by the time we were finished and they sat down before we did. This is my second bad experience at this restaurant and we will not be going back."

  • "My husband and I tried to have a late valentines romantic dinner (as we usually don't do much for valentine's day). So we decided to try this restaurant for a romantic dinner and treat our selves to some fine dining. However, we were very disappointed. Things started off good, we received immediate service, placed our order (the valentine dinner for 2). My husband ordered the sirloin and I the fillet. I asked what does your restaurant consider, slightly pink and was told well done. So we both order our steaks well done. Our bread / salad were great, however, when they picked up our salad plates, they also took our bread, which we weren't done with. Then our food came, and was shocked when they set this burnt fillet in front of me."

  • "I'd heard many great things about the restaurant. The waitress in the bar was very attentive and helpful. The food was fantastic, however our waitress at dinner was hardly seen. It wasn't real busy but I had to go back into the bar to get another glass of wine because I got tired of waiting for her. There was about 15 minutes when we didn't see her anywhere. We sat with empty plates for 10 minutes and finally someone (not our waitress), took them. THEN we sat there for another 10 minutes with empty glasses and no plates but couldn't find our waitress to get our bill. Considering we spent about $180 on dinner I expected better service and my wife and I will probably not be back to Sullivan's. Sorry."

They were also amenable to a special food requests and I really appreciate that. Our waitress was very friendly even though I know she was busy and stressed.   • "We went to Sullivan's for a Valentines Day dinner with my Sister and her Husband. The entire evening was perfect! The service was outstanding with Fallon taking care of us and Tim gave us a great tour of the huge wine cellar in the lower level of the restaurant... There were tables open in the lounge for a nightcap after dinner and the two member live music was relaxing... All in all, it was a wonderful evening..."

  • "Busy night, but we were seating quickly upon arrival(we were about 5 minutes early for our reservation). Staff was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about the menu options. Quality of the food was outstanding and the timing of each course was spot on. Some of this may have been due to having a special menu for Valentines day. For as busy as they were, the noise level wasn't so loud that you couldn't have a conversation without shouting. Definitely recommend the garlic-horseradish mashed potatoes (FYI coarsely mashed,not whipped) and the Key Lime pie."

  • "Service was very slow. Our plates sat for quite awhile before they came to remove them. Not sure why as they were not real busy and has never happened here before. My bisque was cold and very strong of 5 spice, but the waitress did not come to check on us until it was time for our salads. They offered to bring me another choice, but by that time it was too late. One of our guests had the French Onion soup and it was very delicious.You can tell it was made from scratch Wedge salads with addition of bacon was delicious (but a little watery- lettuce needed spun more). Steaks- cooked perfectly and charred just right. Add (cold) truffle butter as soon as it is delivered for another depth of flavor. Mashed potatoes, a nice side to the steaks."

  • "Unfortunately, I've heard all good things about Sullivan's. So for my boyfriend's birthday dinner I decided to surprised him by taking him there. We knew the pricing, so we were expecting to spend quite a lot. But, we had hoped that our dinner would at least taste decent enough to where we wouldn't regret spending so much on dinner. He ordered the Ribeye and I ordered the Gulf Shrimp entree. His steak wasn't flavorful, it was mostly all fat, my shrimp were chewy, and tasted old. Very disappointing. Our service was also not as good as we felt it should have been. It took forever to get a waitress, then after we got our food, she hadn't returned for quite some time, well after we were finished eating. At least the guys kept our waters filled."

The cocktails were amazing and the food was even better! Try the cheesesteak eggrolls and the calamari for appitizers. And we went the with the prix fixe meal and it was a total win. So much more for your money! We will be going back for sure!"

  • "This was an encore dine i.e. 2nd in 4 days. This time I opted for the Salmon with grilled asparagus spears. The salmon was fresh and tasty as were the shrimp cocktail appetizer and garden salad. The shrimp are jumbo sized and the garden salad enough for 2 persons."

  • "This is the second time I've dined at Sullivan's. The first time was in Anchorage several years ago. This location in Omaha lived up to its billing. The prix fixe dinner offers 5 choices of appetizers, soup and/or salads and 4 entries. The jumbo shrimp cocktail were delicious and the 6 oz filet mignon delicious and cooked to perfection. Tiffany was our server and I would recommend her for knowledge of her wines and professionalism."
