A word from STRIPSTEAK - Mandalay Bay - Las Vegas
Acclaimed Chef Michael Mina breaks new ground with the debut of STRIPSTEAK at Mandalay Bay, his first steakhouse. With its classic menu, inviting bar scene and sophisticated atmosphere, STRIPSTEAK plays host to guests looking for the perfect filet in a modern alternative to the traditional steakhouse setting. As with Mina's other restaurants, STRIPSTEAK uses only the highest quality ingredients - corn-fed, all-natural meat; line-caught seafood and fresh, seasonal produce.

STRIPSTEAK features a menu rife with imaginative interpretations of classic steakhouse favorites using state-of-the-art kitchen equipment. STRIPSTEAK offers a variety of beef options, including Certified Angus Beef and American Wagyu beef and is home to two wood-burning grills and six circulating, slow-poaching chambers. The signature slow-poaching method enhances flavor and tenderness by heating the meat at a low temperature, while the mesquite-smoked grills infuse cuts with a subtle smokiness.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "This was a special occasion (50th birthday). We have dined here several times before. The ambience is great, the food is amazing and service is great. The restaurant was full while we dined, and our service wasn't perfect but it was close enough, and acceptable given the capacity of the restaurant. The food was amazing. A huge bill at the end but worth every cent!"

  • "Service was horrible although food was pretty good. After waiting for a substantial amount of time just for our menus It took our waiter 30 minutes to just take our appetizer order, we were brought cold french fries, had to ask for lemons 3 different times and were never brought pepper we requested."

  • "We had a total of 24 guests at Stripe Steak after a conference event wrapped up. We sat at around 9:30 or so and ordered drinks. The staff was very accommodating and even worked with us allowing some wines to be brought in. Corkage fee was in line with other properties. Salads, appetizers, and sides were all very good. Almost consistent consensus of the entire group: the worst steak anyone had experienced in a fine dining steak house. The steaks tasted like it was not beef, laced with bacon fat, tough and waxy texture. This was experienced across different cuts due to the size of our group. Everyone was tired and just wanted to be done. It's too bad. Most everything else was better than norm."

  • "Excellent food and service. A little on the pricey side, but the food and service match the price. Ala carte dining, so there are many choices for the side dishes and they are delicious also. Try the mushrooms for a real treat"

  • "I hosted a business dinner with five people. The food was wonderful. The noise (music & customers) was so bad that it was difficult to hear the conversation. I'm not sure I would entertain for business at this restaurant again."
    Dined on 4/8/2014
  • "I don't have anything special to say, just enjoy your dinner and send me a piece of your steak."

  • "Since this is my favorite restaurant in Las Vegas, I went twice in one week for dinner. That means I spent a decent amount of money - and it was worth every cent. I treated myself to an 8 oz. Wagyu Filet...unbelievable perfection. Paired with a great Italian red and potatoes gratin. You can't go wrong at Stripsteak."

  • "This is my favorite restaurant in Las Vegas. The food is absolutely perfect: the steaks could not be better, and the Potatoes Gratin are spectacular. The Yellowtail sashimi is also a delicious appetizer. If you like Lobster Bisque, order it at Stripsteak: you'll want more than one bowl. When making your reservation, ask to be seated with Glen Hechavarria - you'll make a friend, and experience the finest service ever."

  • "This place has great food. The prices are way too high though. I usually get comps which offset it but we went this time without any comps and the prices were very high. Definitely worth paying extra for just not that much extra."

  • "Best crab legs I've ever had! Service was amazing too"

  • "A great atmosphere and amazing food. We got a special that night of fries done in duck fat...so good. The filet was awesome, the sides were great, and the appetizers were fun and different. Best experience that I have had in Vegas"

  • "Great service and really good food. The sides were most excellent and the steaks were upper tier."

  • "Food excellent although overpriced for what it is considering the competition in the area. The restaurant was beyond capacity, long waits for everything including even male restrooms. Clearly all about the bottom line profit - get them in, get their money, regardless of damage to individual experience. Was an anniversary dinner and although it was mentioned by the front desk, we were ushered to a poor table and it was clear the large corporate parties were priority. Would not return which is a shame as the steaks were the best I had ever tasted. Had planned on leaving a generous tip, ended up walking out and paying exact amount (only time I have EVER done that) felt upset and let down as it was supposed to be a special occassion. Disgrace.."

  • "Most of the steaks are large but they do include the bone. First time that my steak has been cooked exactly as I requested. This is indeed a rarity. Great 'duck fat' fries."

  • "I got the Wagyu steak and it was unbelievable. Definitely worth the extra change to get it. Sides were also fantastic. Very noisy though and service was pretty slow."

  • "We love STRIPSTEAK!!! It's the third Michael Mina restaurant we've enjoyed. This one is our favorite by far!!!"

  • "One of the better steaks I've ever had and THE BEST SIDES EVER. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Telling everyone I know!"

  • "I personally loved the atmosphere. There was a lot of interaction between people, lots of group energy and good vibes. The waitress was very welcoming and knowledgable about the food. The service was fast and there was never an empty glass on the table. The food was divine and the flavor of my flat iron steak was memorable."

  • "I went with a large party. We found that the menu was not diverse enough. The food was overpriced for the quality, which rivaled an Outback Steakhouse. Some of the diners received fatty cuts and others commented that the portions were too small. The table they crammed us in to was uncomfortable, and the whole party of 12 basically left unsatisfied. Very disappointing. Tender Steakhouse at the Luxor would have been the better choice."
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "While the steak was really good, what stood out were the potatoes! Three types of mashed, our favorite was the horseradish and second fav was the lobster mashed. The scalped potatoes came out looking like a lasagna dish and were also delicious."

  • "We sat at the bar, before going to our table and were greeted and served by Monica who was so friendly and helpful...my husband ended up trying a beer that she suggested, and he loved it....thanks, Monica!!! Our meal was wonderful, my husband loved the truffle mac 'n cheese and I particularly loved the green beans!!! Our waitress, Michelle, was very attentive and friendly."

  • "Great knowledge of the various food choices by our server. Presentation was terrific, and the taste was even better. It was a great choice for a group dinner, as the restaurant was hopping that night. It was a bit loud, so it was pretty tough to communicate with someone on the opposite end of your table, but overall, a great experience."

  • "Service was outstanding. EXTREMELY knowledgeable staff. Somalier, server - everyone. My guests loved their steaks. The sides were amazing. I had the Tuna - asked for it to be the rare side of Medium Rare - could have been seered a bit better - very quickly to keep the temperature, but otherwise very good."

  • "We were a little disappointed upon arrival to find that the atmosphere is quite informal. If you're expecting an elegant steakhouse with white tablecloths, go somewhere else. Strike Two was the silly wine list-on-the-IPad thing. They do this at Flemings, which is the gimmick you might expect from a chain restaurant. The sad part is that they have a huge and excellent wine list, best studied and scanned in print form. Fortunately, they retained a few books. As for the food, the steaks were good, but were basted or marinated in some sort of sauce that gave them an different flavor. The side dishes were good, but also $16 each. As was the dessert. Bottom line, good food, informal atmosphere, average service. Big prices. Won't be rushing back."

  • "Took clients there requesting in advance a quieter location. We were put right in the center where noise level was so high we had to shout even to those sitting next to Us! Food was extremely mediocre for a whole lot of money. The best part of the meal was the free fries that came to the table. One guest only drank a soda when she asked for a refill they had a long explanation how they don't do refills but she could order another soda? We had 9 guests and spent almost $1800 for dinner (really you can't spare a refill?). If food had been phenomenal there would be no complant but...too many better choices in Vegas to spend your money."

  • "The good was good, service was amazing but the prices are very high for what you get. We went with a party of 7 and when we checked the bill, we were overcharged by almost $400.00. Apparently they mixed up our bill and that for another table that was 10 people. The manager was helpful in resolving the issue quickly and professionally. Your in Vegas for a holiday, just make sure that you check your bill."

  • "The service here was excellent, from water glasses continually re-filled to help with menu and overall friendly staff (all of them). Food... was excellent. Perfectly cooked steaks all around. Great selection on drinks as well. You get what you pay for... so its not a cheap outing, but definately worth it. We will be back on our next trip to Vegas."

  • "Stripsteak is in the Mandalay Bay/THEhotel complex, and offered an excellent steak and Martini experience. My wife was satisfied with the glass of Cab she selected off of the (iPad!) wine list, which was fairly robust. The Rib Eye was very tasty and served at a proper temperature, and the foi gras was delectable. The sides were just okay, and I wouldn't recommend the mac and cheese, which was watery. I would recommend the service which was attentive and knowledgable. Overall I would recommend Stripsteak and would go back again."
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "The wagyu rib cap was perfectly cooked, and one of the best cuts of meat I've ever had. The Caesar salad was a little disappointing in flavor and size, as it was accompanied by an overpowering white anchovy. The bone marrow appetizer was also up supremely delicious but exorbitantly priced. The cocktails were very well made and not lacking any kick. Finally, the desert a warm chocolate cake with lime sorbet was very nice and it was comped because of a seating change."

  • "We came for the steaks, but the duck fries are to die for!! Our server was very knowledgeable and quite helpful !! Description was "dressy", but we saw all kinds of attire! We will be back next visit!"

  • "The food was good but the service was very slow and the restaurant was so loud we couldn't talk to each other."

  • "You must go to this restaurant. Book reservations in advance cause there was a line out that door when I went/sat down and ate and that is all you need to know about this place. RUN TELL DAT!!"

  • "Absolutely phenomenal food. One of the best meals I have ever had. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a special treat."
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "I thought the experience was only fair considering the price."
    Dined on 3/4/2014
  • "Expensive. Not un-worth it expensive, but wasn't a epicurean changing experience. American Wagyu beef was definitely the highlight. And it is loud (granted, it was Friday night), which is not my personal preference in a restaurant. But it did have energy, so if you're in to that... Our server was nice and knowledgeable, but she was very busy, and there were time lags in ordering and courses. Like most established fine dining restaurants in Vegas, I would say STRIPSTEAK suffers that general "good" I find prevalent now a days. The name (Michael Mina) and reputation carry the pricing, but the experience isn't fantastic, merely good. Glad I went and experienced it, but it'll be a while, or someone else's expense account, before I go back."
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "We travel to Vegas twice a year and always go to STRIPSTEAK. Glenn is our waiter and provides impeccable service. The food, from duck-fat fries, to the unmatched rib cap and sides, ending with dessert is just divine. Prices rival other fine steakhouses but I believe that food and service beats those other places, many of which I frequented often, mostly before retiring."

  • "Very good experience. A little pricey. Would go back with the opportunity."

  • "It definitely had great food and the wine list, while extremely pricey, had a large selection. Service was very good. BUT you could not hear someone talking across your table. It was VERY VERY Loud!!"
