Diner Reviews
  • "We went for my wife's dinner. Wine was excellent and the local draft was good too. My wife got the fish tacos which looked good and was a healthy portion too. I got the earlybird steak which was very tender but shaped awkwardly so that the cook had no prayer of cooking it evenly. Fries were quite good. Will definitely come back"

  • "Sorry for the late response. Every one in my party was very pleased with the service, food and atmosphere. We were very happy, and more than likely will dine again."

  • "My steak was excellent, as always. Their bread and dipping oil is the best in town. My husband's dish could have used more chicken and sausage. Overall a good experience and we will be back. We dine there often and feel for the most part the food is consistently good. However, the waiter left something to be desired."

  • "I held a company lunch for 10 people. Only 8 were able to make it BUT the table was still crowded. There was plenty of room as the place was not busy. Food was good, service was as expected."

  • "Nice place to gather with some girlfriends. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, except for one who said the fish dish had no flavor. She exchanged for the fish tacos and was very happy. Our primary server didn't return to check on us after the food was delivered, but another server stopped by and took care of everything promptly."

  • "Incredible to have such a fantastic place just 3 minutes from home! Not cheap, but great!"

  • "This is our go-to restaurant to take out of town guests for consistently fine food (beautifully presented) and service, a delightful quiet atmosphere, and, as a bonus, proximity to our house."

  • "Great service and food. Try the bread with the special dipping sauce. It is wonderful. The NY steak was great and cooked perfectly. Very friendly waiter and the service was perfect."

  • "My wife and I went here for our anniversary because it seemed like a nice place and wasn't too far from her work. We were impressed with the decor and that the wait staff read my reservation request. The restaurant wait staff, service, and food were all exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed one of the most relaxing noontime meals that we've had in a long time."

  • "WE loved it all! Stone Creek is the best restaurant in our area. We love it for its great menu selections, fantastic food-everytime, attentive and personable servers, and cool vibrant scene."

  • "Overall the experience was just "OK". The bread was very good but the salad and main entrees were average. I had the shrimp and angel hair pasta dish while my wife had the filet mignon. The filet mignon was easily 2 shades too pink to qualify as "medium well" so my wife had to send that back to get reheated. The shrimp was OK but the pasta -much like the house salad- had too many bits n' pieces of stuff mixed in (e.g. asparagus, onions, tomatoes, etc) such that overall it tasted "off balance". The beer price was ridiculous at $7 PER PINT for a Bass ale."

  • "The ambiance was great. It was a great place to have dinner and enjoy a conversation with spouse. Service was great and dinner was delicious."

  • "Jeff was our server and did an outstanding job. He was friendly, fun, on-top of things but not hovering, and I give him a 10. The entire staff from the greeters at the front to the dessert server were all good. The food was delicious, hot and quickly served. Have to laugh as my friend and I were going to take our desserts home to her husband. Once we saw the carrot cake, we both ate ours while still in Stone Creek at Zionsville. Poor husband, no cake. lol Great job Stone Creek!"

  • "I had a reservation on Opentable (where I specifically requested a high chair) and then when we got there on time (and had to wait for our table to be set-up) I requested it again. When they finally took us back to the table, it didn't have a high chair and they didn't have enough menus. Service just went downhill from there. Our server couldn't remember the special and when he finally told us, he said that it was sea bass with scallops. In fact, there were no scallops in the special. Then, we said we would start with water while we looked at the drink menu and the server took the menu! We sat down a little after 6 and didn't leave until close to 8! Service was slow and the food was mediocre for the price."

  • "Our families have dined at this restaurant several times since they opened. It had been a while since we were last there and we all looked forward to the great food experience that we have had before. This is a lovely restaurant with a very attentive wait staff. However, the food portions and taste were barely adequate for the price. One of the six of us was very satisfied with his meal, a steak. My salad which should have been served cold with a warm topping. Was served warm and limp with a cold topping. The salmon was just okay. I'm sorry to have to give a bad review to this restaurant as it was one of our favorites. For the price there are many other restaurants that consistently prepare great food. Food tab w/ no liquor 160.00"

  • "Stone Creek is always a favorite of ours and this time we met another couple for dinner. We like the bar area, which has a nice upscale seating area as well as an exposed wine cellar and bar top. The food and drink selection is consistently very good, with a nice selection of entrees in the $15-25 range as well as sandwiches and appetizers. There are usually at least 8-10 beers on tap plus a reasonably priced wine list. Some of our favorite entrees include Chicken Scallopine with blue cheese mashed potatoes, Crab Cakes, and the beer battered cod sandwich. In the summer, the patio area is nice as well."

  • "Our friendly, attentive server brought fresh bread with a delicious dipping oil, and recommended the blackened mahi-mahi, with Cajun dirty rice, black bean cucumber salsa, cilantro aioli, and guacamole. We all had it, and it was perfectly cooked, an unusual and delicious combination of flavors. Outstanding! With a glass of excellent wine and a great cup of decaf coffee (hard to find) we stayed and enjoyed a long conversation, with no one rushing us to leave. A lovely evening."

  • "We had two glasses of wine, a cup of coffee, and the goat cheese appetizer. With tip, it was about $40. The appetizer was better than decent, less than stellar. For the price, I expected more."

  • "Our dinner outing consisted of 6 people. The service was very good, and everyone enjoyed their meal Wine prices by the glass are a little high, considering the pours are not very generous."

  • "We enjoyed the food and overall great service at this restaurant. We were a little surprised that, with a reservation, we were seated in the bar; however, the staff remained at a high level, and our food was hot. The fresh bread is a great touch, and the pasta dishes are well portioned and reasonably priced. Our food arrived within a reasonable time, despite the fact the restaurant was completely full. Also, despite the fact we ate our Valentine's Day outing in a bar setting, the noise level was manageable and the staff professional, making it an attractive place for an after dinner drink. I would definitely go back again, on a non-holiday weekend."

  • "I thought the food was amazing. The only reason I didn't score the food a 5 is because I chomped down on a piece of metal grill brush in my steak. The manager offered to remove the entre, which was the most expensive part of our meal, without hesitation. If it wasn't for the 15 min wait to be seated after making a reservation , service would have been perfect. The atmosphere was nice, even though we were seated right next to the kitchen. Prices were fair and portions were adequate. I would certainly go back."

  • "We visited Stone Creek for Valentine's dinner. This was our first trip to the restaurant, and the experience was wonderful. Some of the host and service staff seemed a bit inexperienced, but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was deliciously satisfying, and the variety on the menu was extensive. I would highly recommend Stone Creek to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion, and I only say that because of the slightly steep pricing. But still a magnificent place!"

  • "They were overbooked and we were moved "up stairs" which is only used for groups and on busy nights... Loud and qwkward setting"

  • "We were seated right away, flowers were on the table as requested, and our waitress was right there for our drink order. Service was fantastic and so was the food. My wife and I had a very enjoyable Valentine dinner!"

  • "We had a reservation, but still had to wait 15 min. to be seated. That was fine though as we were offered a free beverage each for our wait:) We had to ask our waiter about the specials, and he did not know about them. He quickly went to find out and apologized. My shrimp with angel pasta was fantastic. My husband got the seafood broil meal with couscous, and was disappointed..the mahi magi was mushy…the whole plate was "wet". The bread pudding dessert was very good. My biggest problem with Stonecreek is the water. It is served cold without ice, so it quickly becomes warm. It tastes like tap water, so really needs the ice to make it palatable. Basically, the water is awful."

  • "This was a great place for a quiet dinner for two. The wait staff was friendly and prompt. Food was well prepared. Get the bacon salmon dish it is great!"

  • "Great personnel and the food was FANTASTIC! I'm not a veggie lover but the vegie medley was outstanding and the demiglaze complimented the meal well. I took the leftovers home and had another wonderful meal the next day. The only thing I did not like were the booths. You sat very low and there was not much room to mover around. The next time I will definitely sit at a table. I plan to go back there again....and again"
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "We enjoy Stonecreek. The food and service were good. However, we thought the restaurant was a bit crowded. Tables were very close together. One member of our party has a walker. It was a bit difficult for her to get around. I don't know if it's always that way or set up special for Valentine's weekend. Whichever, it was too tight."

  • "Although we have dined here on several occasions for some reason this isn't my favorite restaurant. The service is outstanding, the servers are very nice, prompt and attentive. I booked our reservation at the last minute and upon arrival our table was ready. Now with the last minute 7:15pm booking on a Saturday night comes with a middle aisle table sitting directly behind a large party. However they were very polite and their server was courteous to us as well. My husband had he ribeye to which he loved it-He would have given it five stars. I had initially ordered the Campfire Fettuccine which sounded delicious and even looked tasty however it was flavorless. To StoneCreeks defense they replaced my order promptly with the Tuscan Penne!"

  • "We met co-workers for dinner and hadn't been back to Stone Creeks for a while. We had a great dinner with tons of talking and our waiter did an excellent job of letting us talk! The orders were 2 orders of strip steak which were both done med-rare perfectly, the seafood broil and I tried the tofu and vegetables. I usually don't order tofu, but this was delicious and I will be back for another order soon. We had a great time - the only thing I might change is the booth - we were in a quiet booth in the back of the restaurant, which was great but the table seemed high for the booth seats. This certainly didn't change our great evening! See you soon."

  • "Went to Stone Creek Zionsville for a birthday dinner with friends. The food was fabulous and had my yearly treat of creme brulee which was soooo good. They also carry my favorite reisling, Dr. Loosens. Thank you for a lovely evening."

  • "Service incredibly slow. Took over 20 minutes just to take order and server had too many tables so was just never there when you needed him. We like the food and has good kids menu but will not return if service stays like this,"

  • "We were seated on time- but in the bar. Service was slow. 10min for water. 10min more for drink order. Our waiter was OK- neither making us feel special nor completely ignored (but perhaps a bit on the ignored side). It was so dark that none of us could read the menu without the use of a cell phone for light (it's tough getting old). Food portions were average American (meaning about 50% more than we should probably consume but from a value standpoint reasonable). My wife requested a leftover box and our waiter seemed bothered that we asked to have the bread put in as well (perhaps he preferred to throw it away???). All in all, OK/Good. I would go back."

  • "Food and service we good. Major frustration was making a reservation and then waiting 25 minutes to be seated. Nice for them to be on open table, but certainly sure our reservation meant very little to them."

  • "Food and service was good, but I found the "bench" style seating not very private and the noise level was just too loud for a quiet meal with my wife."
