  • "My co-worker and I come here every chance we get. Great ambience, amazing food. Service is always perfect."

  • "Have been here before and loved it. Food was pretty good this time. Nothing amazing, but the location makes up for it - great spot."

  • "hi, we made a reservation online for 8 pm and the restaurant made us wait forty minutes. Even though we got 2 appetizers for free because of the wait, it is unacceptable since we had a guest with us. However, the food was great and perhaps we might come back at a more quiet time."

  • "My Idaho RainbowTrout was superbly cooked and delicious. My husband's meatloaf while very good had too many flavored: perhaps forgo the cheese? Also I don't know why blanched vegetables has come back into favor. The beans may as well have been picked fresh from the garden, rinsed and placed on the plate. Perhaps the server could ask how the patron wants his veggies cooked... lol. Ah but the coffee was really good and the caramelized apple bread pudding was to die for."

  • "After waitress took our order she pretty much never came back-we had to flag her down to bring us bread. Yet as soon as our lunch came, she was rushing us out the door. She came back to our table and asked me to move my jacket because it was too close to the table next to us and she was concerned if someone wanted to sit there. No one was seated at that table for the duration of our meal plus there were plenty of open tables. She came back again asking if we needed boxes to take our lunch home. We told her midbite that we were still working on it, but thank you. She couldn't get us out any quicker. As soon as we finished our meal, she came by to pick up our plates and offer us our check. No dessert for us. Overall we felt unwelcomed."

  • "Had an early dinner there, and it was perfect, since it was a warm day and we didn't want a heavy meal. Was a nice, lively ambience without being overly loud. Their salads are varied and large and full of unexpected components. We had a Cobb salad, which was amazing, and a Thai Chicken salad, full of crunchies and greens and a well-matched sweet-sour dressing. Table next to us had full dinners, along with a massive tower of onion rings. and they looked and smelled scrumptious, They have a huge wine list and some interesting cocktails (definitely try the Winter White martini). Next time, when we're not rushed, we're looking forward to trying their desserts."

  • "I had the frittered french toast, it was absolutely amazing! Soo tasty! My friend had the blueberry pancakes and she seemed to enjoy them. Both portions were very large. We were a little confused over who was our server because everyone was so helpful."

  • "In making my Open Table reservation, I asked for a specific type of table (i.e., one with a view of Newbury Street) as I had guests from Montreal and wanted them to see the passers-by on Newbury St. and the beauty of Back Bay. The restaurant honored this request! Kudos. Also, one of my guests is vegan, and the server & kitchen were terrific in accommodating this (in fact it turned out that the evening's special - when the server double-checked with the kitchen-was a vegan dish). Well done all around...honoring my request for seating, vegan deliciousness, and the other folks in the party (who had, inter alia, mussels and the steak frites) enjoyed our food (steaks perfectly cooked) and the service. Also, good wine at a reasonable price."

  • "I remembered Stephanie's as a nice restaurant, having been there several years ago. I was in town on business and suggested Stephanies to a group of colleagues as a nice casual restaurant. It was awful!! Crowded, noisy, poor service and worse food. Comparable to a Denny's like restaurant a both food and ambience. The furniture, layout TIRED and incredibly dated. The survey choices for noise level don't provide an applicable response. NOISY - moderate or energetic don't describe There are so many magnificent restaurants in the Boston area. What a mistake - will never return and my advice to others will be to avoid at all costs."

  • "Stephanie's on Newbury continues in the tradition of great restaurants."

  • "We had a great business lunch and one of the things I found impressive was the speed of delivery of the food. However, at the end of the meal we were given the check just as quickly without seeing if anyone wanted coffee or dessert, an opportunity that I would think the restaurant wouldn't want to miss out on. Other than that, it was another great experience and I would definitely go back again."

  • "Went to Stephanie's for the first time with my sister for a Friday night dinner. Had heard great things about the place before hand and I was not disappointed! There was a great selection on the menu--not too much to choose from so you're not spending five hours just trying to decide, yet they had a variety. The service was wonderful, we never felt neglected even though the place was very busy. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be going back."

  • "Stephanie's on Newbury is good for a quick lunch or a cosy supper. I have eaten there on a number of occasions and always found the food to be good. The menu suits us as a family, one picky eater, one greedy one plus two who will eat anything. Ambience in the evening is much better than daytime."

  • "Pretty solid date spot... the food isn't amazing, but it is pretty good and the price is right. They have a great selection of drinks and it is in an awesome location so I would definitely come for the atmosphere if nothing else"

  • "Elegant atmosphere. Seated quickly. Good service, polite and prompt. Good food. Loved the florintine ravioli. Lounge upstairs was nice too. A lot nicer than I had expected. The only thing I didnt care for was the diping oil served with the bread. I have been recommending this place to everyone I know. Loved it!"

  • "Stephanie's does not disappoint. If you are looking for "traditional American comfort food" you can find it here. The restaurant is nicely spaced, I don't feel like I'm part of the other table's conversation and the service is excellent. It's a little pricey but it's on Newbury Street, so it's no more than I'd expect for the location. All in all, a wonderful experience. We'll definitely go back. PS - the meatloaf is perfect."

  • "Unfriendly, not energetic staff. Food was mediocre. Had to wait 10 mins even with a reservation. Parking was a major problem that day. This particular experience killed my expectations and we won't be going back here again."

  • "The restaurant was exceptionally great for the dinner that we enjoyed during our weekend in Boston. It is definitely a place that one should visit for a great meal. I would recommend that everyone should try this place out when visiting the area. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly."

  • "Great food! Everything from the appetizer, main course, and dessert was amazing. Wine was great and staff was knowledgeable and friendly."

  • "Food was fine but not anything special. Service was erratic - lots of attention one minute and then none for long periods of time, although the server was always polite. I had an ahi tuna burger - it was fairly bland and it arrived with a significant thumb print or finger impression on/into the roll. Sweet potato fries were a little sparse and served at room temperature. Cole slaw was mostly onions, so a little harsh. All in all, it was pretty mediocre."

  • "A great brunch menu. A bit pricey but perfect for a special occasion. Our first time dining there. Very chaotic seating process despite having a reservation."

  • "My wife and I went to Stephanie's on Newbury Street for diner this past Saturday and had a wonderful experience. First, recommendations are highly encouraged. From the time we entered the restaurant until the time we left everything was perfect. The service was exception, the food was fantastic and the wine list was well thought out and fairly priced. I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone thinking of dining in the city."

  • "Though it seems like more of a dinner place, they accommodate brunch very well. Clean place, comfortable atmosphere, a little pricey for what you get, but an all around good dining option in Back Bay."

  • "We booked last minute. It was cozy and charming. The food was great and the menu was robust yet compact. Our waitress did not feel like she wanted to be there but she did finally open up. Not only was the wine list big but the beer menu had some great touches. Also the valet parking was inexpensive. We will come back."

  • "An outstanding venue for dinner any day of the week, especially on valentine's day. I had their burger, which was outstanding to the point where I'd consider it in the top 3 burgers I've ever had (and I eat a lot of burgers). My girlfriend chose their pan-seared salmon which was also excellent. The irish soda bread they give before the meal is ridiculously delicious. I usually can't stand irish soda bread but somehow they made theirs not taste like cardboard infused plexiglass. Also their New England clam chowder was standout. If I'm ever in the area again I'd certainly go again. Highly recommend it"

  • "My wife and I took my daughter and 3 of her friends to Stephanie's on 2/9/14 to celebrate her birthday. The place was pretty quiet when we were seated at 5:30 but got very lively a bit later. Everybody got something different and all were pleased with their choices. My coffee crusted filet was perfectly cooked and delicious. Portions were more than ample and there were lots of leftovers. We would definitely visit again."
