  • "Even though my wife and I live nearby, we still hadn't been back for over 4+ years so we thought we'd try it out again. First issue was the service. It was slow and not consistent. Our meal took 2 hours (drinks, appetizer, dinner, desert). We also weren't thrilled with the food. We felt like we could have had the same meal at Applebee's or Chilli's for half the price. The food was luke warm and we felt like it had been pulled out of a buffet and sat under heat lamps. My wife's steak wasn't cook as requested, it was very rare, not medium. You could tell by just touching it. For their price point, you'd expect fresh food. Overall, we will likely not return to this location and continue to visit Newport, Ringside, M&S, etc...."

  • "We had a 6:30 reservation. We were orignially seated inside and a/c wasn't working so we were moved outside. We ordered appetizers which never came and then after an hour we got our salads then they told us they would bring our appetizers and they would be free which was nice, but it took at least another half an hour to get them. At this point we were given gift cards, again nice, but since we are from out of town not very imprtant, but it took probably another 45 mins to get our entrees. We didn't leave the restaurant until about 8:45. The staff kept telling us they were bogged down with a large party, but they should have known ahead of time about the large party and staffed appropriate."

  • "I met my friend for lunch with an expectation of ordering salad or something equally is yawn-worthy. Instead, I ordered the Veggie Burger. I'm not sure why I did this, because I've had many very bad to mediocre VBs. But, this was a whole other burger! Full of veggies and cheese this burger was so good I had to take home what I couldn't eat! I live on Bull Mountain in the Tigard area, but would GLADLY drive to Hillsboro for another Veggie Burger. Truly, a winner! On top of that, I enjoyed delish red bean soup."

  • "We arrived almost a half hour early, and were seated immediately. Our server was prompt and courteous without rushing us through our first round of drinks, etc. The menu is not what I'd call 'extensive', but the items my wife and I chose were both excellent and prepared as we requested. She had the Copper River Salmon (grilled medium-well) and I had the herb crusted Prime Rib (medium-rare). Stanford's will remain on our 'short list' for a 'nice' dinner spot."

  • "There were 11 of us, including visitors from out of state. We all enjoyed our meals, and the service was great. One of the nice things about Stanford's is the variety on the menu. Some people had sandwiches, others chose steak, ribs or beef tips. It was all tasty. The waitress was very accommodating, and even took time to take a group picture for us. The $15 gift cards for the fathers were a nice addition. We always enjoy Stanford's and will be back."

  • "The staff and manager were great. The noise was terrible. We sat with two larger groups with children not good. We couldn't hear ourselves speak. The food was good. Over all I will come back for sure. I might ask not to be seated around groups with children who do not seat and run around our table. This was the best restaurant we have eaten at this year. I want to thank the manager he was so kind and gave us such wonderful gift cards. That meant a lot to us. Big Plus It was Clean, Clean restrooms this was very important in our choice where to eat at. Big, Big, Big PLUS!!!"

  • "My family and I came here for lunch to celebrate my graduation from college, and we came primarily on the recommendation of several friends. Everyone unanimously agreed that it was a really incredible, fun experience for all of us, including my nieces. Our food was amazing across the board, and our server was one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of having in my life. She was knowledgeable, patient, timely, engaging, and had a great sense of humor. She put up with my dad and his dad jokes with great ease and genuine interest, something which I admire because he can be pretty lame! I'm only sorry I didn't get her name so I could point out how outstanding she is. Overall fantastic experience and I will definitely be returning."

  • "Seated promptly at designated 6:45 reserved time. Then waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged, 15 more minutes for beverage and 35 from order to food arrival, total wait time for food was over one hour (7:50 pm). THIS WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE Kitchen could not handle the volume. Took complaining to server that we "lost" our waitress."

  • "First time eating out on Easter and was disappointed. Open face crab sandwiches were covered with onions. Menu said crab and artichoke but no artichoke and the cheese was way too much for one sandwich. I've had the Brie appetizer before and this time the bread was grilled black and the apples were chopped not sliced. Only good part was the service. I'd be to embarrassed to recommend to my friends."

  • "Signing up for their card is very easy to do and gives you great kickbacks at times. There is a nice variety on the menu for irregular visits to the restaurant. I don't go more than once a month, so it works out for me. Aside from the challenge of providing the salmon at the right level of doneness (my earlier one was overcooked and dry) they do well with their presentation and right amount of cooking. They are more than happy to make you happy if you don't like how your food comes out, which is nice, though it means your spouse ends up finishing earlier than you; a minor detail. The service is always very friendly and attentive. We had fun with the recent mystery cards you got for a bit that gave a percentage off for your next meal."

  • "You get what you expect from a typical chain restaurant. On my open table reservation, I requested a table near a window, because they love to sit couples in the middle of the restaurant. The middle is very dark and very noisy when they are busy due to a head cook shouting out dinners for the staff to begin preparing. Little upset that they didn't honor my request for a window seat. It will be a while before we head back to their restaurant."

  • "We had made reservations via Open Table the day before. We walked into the restaurant and it was packed with a very long waiting list. Thank goodness we used Open Table. All we had to do was walk up to the hostess and give our names. She promptly checked us in and went to check on our table. Max wait was 5 mins. It was awesome!!"

  • "We have been to Stanford's many times and really enjoy it, food is always good and overall it's always well worth it. The last two times we've been there the service has been not good at all. I don't know if the server was too busy, (staffing issue), or the server was just not that good, (server issue). Both times it was the same server so we are thinking it's the latter. We will go back cause usually Stanford's had always been good, but unfortunately this last time was my wife's birthday dinner so we were kinda bummed out."

  • "How long does it take to towel off a wine glass before filling it? Host spent more time with his nose in the computer than greeting guests. The lobby quickly filled to blocking access to the restrooms. Prime rib was easily 20% fat! Mashed potatoes were mortar-like. Kudos to whoever put together the salad. Manager did not know how to handle my mentioning that this was our 20th wedding anniversary. Overall, not planning on returning in the near future. Seems like corporate is not interested in meeting my needs. There are better values for my money being offered by local businesses. Got a rather large list of options from my fellow lab-rats when I told them about the evening and the final bill amount."

  • "My wife and I celebrate the anniversary of our first date here every year. We enjoy the ambience and the memories and that is what makes it a repeat location. We have found the food to be hit and miss. This most recent visit found much of the meat only warm and the butter didn't even melt on our baked potatoes, but we have fun. We will continue come back, annually, but it will likely not be a more frequent stop."
