"My entree was great. A chicken with artichokes and truffle oil, After we were finished with our entree the server disappeared and we had difficulty getting our check and paying. The salad was average, I thought the arugula was tired and the dressing was lacking. I would return and try it again. It has potential to be a great place for me."

"Spalti was once great. The attention to detail has vanished. The food that was once special and served hot is now plain and served warm.
Although there was plenty of staff, there was no manager around. While other California Avenue restaurants have "upped" their game, Spalti has gone to sleep."

"Horrible first time experience. We had a Valentine's Day reservation (our last Valentine as a couple with no kids) and the restaurant completely misjudged the reservation. My six-month pregnant wife and I were standing in the front for 30 mins, repeatedly getting bumped by passing waiters. We couldn't bear it any more and just left frustrated and hungry (pregnant women who don't get feed are not happy customers)."

"We had a reservation for 7:30 but still had to wait 10-15 minutes to get our table. I called ahead to ask if they had a set menu for Valentines day and the said no they didn't. When we got there they gave us a very limited set menu with nothing I wanted when I viewed the menu online. The service was really slow and the food wasn't ant hyping great. I've had better food at the Olive Garden. Will definitely not be going back to this restaurant."
