The other night was basically the same except instead of enjoying the small bites and salad menu I opted for a veal chop. The flavors were good, but the chop was overcooked. If I had wanted a veal cutlet I would have ordered one. I requested another and told my server to order it to go. When I got home...same scenario. I was so looking forward to that "chop" and was most definitely willing to pay the price. Will not be ording that again which is a shame because the rest of the dining experience was good"

I called a few night ahead of time on. 10 occasions and was never able to talk with anyone. They called me back the next day. I had already booked it by then with Open Table. I started to just not go at all. When a restaurant is this good and half empty on Friday night, I would think they would work on their customer response. I had a special request and wanted to talk to a live person. No such luck. Great food, great service, but very difficult to get through on the phone. I will go back, but only if they answer the phone. 10 times through all the prompts on the phone to just go to voicemail is not acceptable"

  • "I think the food at SoLita is as good as you will find at any Italian restaurant in South Florida. We were there on a Thursday night and the place was EMPTY. The food and the service were both great. On a previous Saturday night visit, we waited close to an hour with a reservation because they were so booked and the weather was bad for outdoor dining. Too bad they don't have a more steady business day to day. Can't go wrong with the eggplant stack, the rice ball, or the brussel sprouts."

Had to ask for glass to accompany beer. The food was good but the poor service put a damper on the evening. There are a lot of restaurants in Delray so will be exploring more to get better service."

  • "We ate here a few times over a year ago and our experience was much better than we had the other night. We ate outside which was very nice - because the inside gets pretty noisy. The food was 'ok' - nothing special. The service was terrible. The empty dishes from our appetizers were sitting on our table for over 15 minutes and our drinks were empty, with our server nowhere in sight. I had to walk into the restaurant and wait at the unmanned hostess stand for 5 minutes before I finally flagged down our server (who was inside) to clear our table. We brought friends for their first time, and they won't be going back. We have no problem spending money on good food and service. I'll spend my $ elsewhere next time."

Wanted the food special, above all, so we made a reservation. What we found, was that the service was every bit as exceptional as the food. You cannot go wrong here. This is just a wonderful place. Go for any reason, and ask to be served by Tory, who made the experience even better!"

  • "Based on other reviews, we expected a bit more from our meal. The food was good and the location and ambiance were also very nice. Our server forgot some items at the the table next to us and they made such a stir about it, it was quite awkward. They were "From NY" and said they did not want to pay for their entres due to some item being overlooked. Due to that or some other reason, our entres took a long time. The outdoor dining is nice and the ambiance is too. But next time in Delray, we will look for another option."

We arrived on time and requested indoor seating which was unable to be granted. I felt being that it was still early and there were ample tables inside that we could have been accommodated but we were not. This will probably be considered in making our next decision to dine in Delray."

However, the service was OUTSTANDING. We hope they keep this up - as we enjoy the restaurant. We prefer eating outside. Inside the acoustics are not great, and if there is a happy hour it can get very noisy."
