    We were expecting great food and service but it turned out out mediocre this particular day. The bread and butter was very good and the watermelon salad as well but when we got to the entrees after a 50 minute wait, the ribeye and gnocchi were just ok. Why the food took so long with roughly a 40% occupancy, we didn’t understand. We’ve been to Alchemy, it’s sister restaurant across the street, many times and have always experienced great food and service. I hope this is not becoming a trend because there are so many other amazing restaurants in Ashland.

    A wonderful place for a nice dinner out. The porkchop and airline chicken were both good. The locally baked bread and the artichoke appetizer were outstanding. The creme brulee was a nice finish. Our server was super attentive without being annoying.

    We had the special spring soup, that was creative and very tasteful. The halibut was prepared nicely with a nice sauce and the side of broccolini was excellent and season uniquely, showing skill in the chef, whereas the sauce on the halibut and the Charlotte Royal dessert were very good, but not the "outstanding" one expects from a high end Ashland restaurant. Service was excellent and the wine choices superb.

    Food was excellent quality and taste. Hard to find vegetarian choices. Presentation was elegant and served in Michelin star manner. Place was well kept and it is inviting atmosphere. Will be back soon. Worth the price. Thxs

    This was our first time here. We were so delighted with the experience, the food was beyond perfect and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be back and bring more people to enjoy such a rewarding experience.

    We were seated quickly, our waitress was personable and attentive, despite being short staffed this evening. The beet salad was excellent, but the potato soup was only very good. The hamburger, however, was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Both desserts were wonderful and she had the chef put the berry coulis instead of the normal caramel and nuts on the vanilla bean ice cream for me. Such a nice thing to do. They are only a five minute walk from the theaters.

    Chateaubriand 36 has clearly resumed its position as the best steakhouse in S. Oregon. Everything was perfect: The filet mignon was superb, the French Cafe and Beet salads were inventive and delightful, and the service (April) was impeccable.

    This is our second time eating at here & thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a fairly quiet, off season, Thursday night but all was well. Melody was a good server, the food was really delicious (& they were very thoughtful about a dairy allergy I have). We will definitely return on our annual trip to Ashland!

    We had a delightful dining experience, and we will go back again when we return to Ashland. The food was excellent, from the Spring Soup to the Opera Cake. The chateaubriand was perfectly roasted, very tender and delicious. Special thanks to our server, April, who was attentive and informative. She contributed to an outstanding dining experience. I highly recommend.
