    The macadamie crusted halibut was overcooked. Can't cook fish more than a couple of minutes each side otherwise it's dry and tasteless, which is what mine was. Son ordered a steak and he loved it, done to perfection. Daughter-in-law ordered the pasta and she liked it very much, so it was only the fish that wasn't good.

    Overall a good experience however several items were sold out, including the ribs which are a staple and should always be available. The shrimp appetizer was also not as good as normal, slightly overcooked, and likewise the bread which is normally very fresh seemed to be a couple of hours old.

    Lovely spot for outdoor dining. Coconut Shrimp is one of things they are famous for and rightfully so - delicious.

    Always very good, but do NOT order the guacamole and chips. Very small amount of guacamole for the price. Coconut shrimp and ahi tacos MUCH better value.

    Tommy Bahama's is one of our favorite restaurants so we go often. We loved our ahi tuna tacos appetizer and their iced tea is great too. We also ended our meal with coffee and their pineapple creme brulee which was amazing. Our waitress Taylor was fantastic. She was very friendly, professional and took great care of us. However, on their special menu for Father's Day, they had Loco Moco. I'm from Hawai'i so we were looking forward to having it but it was very disappointing. The hamburger was dry and tasteless, their fried rice wasn't a good combo for this dish - plain white rice would have been much better. The shiitake mushrooms were too overpowering - regular mushrooms would have blended much better and the gravy wasn't delicious at all. Also it goes: rice, hamburger, gravy then the egg 😊. We actually had to ask for gravy which we got on the side. I appreciate that TB wanted to do something different but this was just too different. Maybe stay closer to the recipe from Hawai'i? It's really very tasty and delicious 🤙. Despite this experience, we will be back! We love Tommy Bahama's in Newport Beach.

    We love it here!!! The service wasn’t the usual, but it was super busy at noon on Fathers Day!! It seemed there was a back up in the kitchen, as food was delayed. The food was as good as ever, and love sitting on the patio!!! Will go back again and again! We were not in any hurry!!!

    We have eaten at Tommy Bahamas in the past and enjoyed the food and the service. Saturday, June 14 at 8, we welcomed and seated promptly. The waiter came and got our food and drink order. The drinks came quickly but the delivery of the food was slow. One young lady apologized for the delay-this was not our waiter. We received our appetizers and they were delicious. The sauce on the scallop sliders was outstanding. Then we waited and waited for our dinner. No apologies, no explanation from our waiter. I ordered the halibut and it tasted like it was from out the box from Costco. A big let down, I did tell the waiter when he brought the check. He did not apologize but he blamed the "sh*$ show in the kitchen." Everyone else was happy with their food. Will we return?? Probably - we will give it one more try because we have had success in the past.

    My reservation for a patio table was given to a different party. That was disappointing since I reserved the table weeks in advance.

    Have enjoyed many great evenings at this restaurant. However, our most recent experience was sub-par. Service was slow. Had to ask multiple times for several things. Fish was dry, with too little sauce. Had to ask for more sauce several times and finally had to get the busman to get some for us. Toilet paper and seat covers were out in the lady's restroom, and the restroom was a mess. We're hoping that it was just one bad night and that poor management has not taken over. Our waiter was apologetic and gave us a courtesy desert. We'll try again, but not right away.
