If you order fish you will leave hungry, whether it’s whitefish or salmon. At least the salmon came with some spears of broccolini. The very small piece of whitefish was all alone on a mostly empty plate. Terrible presentation. Expensive mistake with dining that wasn’t so fine.

Disappointing menu. We were attracted by several items pictured on Open Table but they, we’re not even on the menu. Some other menu items sold out at 6:30pm on a Saturday. Quality of food preparation and presentation was below average. Staff pleasant but undertrained. On the positive side, nice view.

We started off strong and got our drinks right away, but sat at our table for an hour before our shrimp cocktail arrived, and sat for another 45 minutes waiting for dinner until we decided to just leave. It looked like others were also waiting but, people were getting sat after us and left before we got any food. We got some apologies about the wait but mostly just had to hear about inner staff drama. Hopefully if you dine here you don’t have the same experience we did!

Showed up on time for a reservation. Was put in back booth even though multiple tables were open by window. When we requested to move to an empty table, we were told that you can’t reserve a table by window, and then watched as people arriving after us were placed by windows. They were out of several drinks and salads. We decided to leave as the staff seemed indifferent and hostess was busy and rude. Not the experience we expected in Harbor Springs, but had a great meal and experience at the paper station.

With a new chef and seasonal staff getting up to speed, our experience was lacking quite significantly compared to previous trips to The Pier. Service was very slow and meals were inaccurately cooked (filet). The staff did do their best to accommodate us by comping dessert and one of the dishes, but the slow service may be a deal breaker on getting us to return any time soon.
