We are proud to offer 75 kinds of different pasta recipe, fresh and hand-crafted 12 hours a day.
"Bencotto" means cooked well: this is what authentic Italian food is about.
It tastes as it should and would in Italy.
Bencotto offers two different eating environments: guests can either enjoy their meal at our “kitchen-esque” bar downstairs, or they can relax in the intimate low-ceiling dining area upstairs. The décor creates a clean and sophisticated atmosphere, where old-world charm and warmth blend with contemporary appeal.

    Our server was friendly. Service was a little slow to get our entrees, and the upstairs seating was echoey and hard to hear our table companions talk. Good food.

    We had a good meal but were disappointed in the menu selections. We had our 13 year old with us and she wanted meat balls and spaghetti and it wasn’t on the menu. Our waiter David was excellent!

    The service was sloppy, food was just ok, and the area of the restaurant where we were seated was not at all like the picture online. There was no ambiance and the floor wasn’t swept. We hoped for a nice evening out and were very disappointed.

    Modern Italian in San Diego’s Little Italy. The food was amazing! Service friendly, attentive when needed and helpful with menu and wine list. Would go back for sure. Especially for the pasta mixed in Parmesan wheel.

    Loved the menu…. Very unique; homemade pasta was delicious. Reasonably priced. Great waiter who answered all our questions. Fabulous Cosmo! Really enjoyed our evening here!

    The food was wonderful! Our server, Brian, was awesome! We had a window table and observed an elderly lady fall on the sidewalk so we ran out to help her and assist. She was bleeding and embarrassed but the staff was very helpful assisting her. When we got her going again we we resumed a great meal!
