Firehouse Restaurant is a central and southern Italian inspired restaurant located in the historic Dekum Firehouse in NE Portland. We offer seasonable fare using sustainable fish, meats, and produce whenever possible. We use a wood-fired oven, rotisserie and grill that emphasize technique, seasonality, and a simple straightforward approach to food. To us, there are few things more beautiful than a well-prepared meal in a warm and inviting setting. We hope to see you soon!

My first visit was great--we all had the steak, and it was the best I've ever had anywhere. The small plates, roasted brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower would have been a dinner in themselves--and both were excellent. It was a splurge for us but totally worth it. The space is beautiful and warm and cozy. My only markdown was on how noisy it was. I'm just so tired of clattering, noisy restaurants. Food is great, but I had to read lips with my friends.

Delicious food, well-chosen wines, reasonably priced, cozy ambiance, and a marvelous server (Amanda). We had a lovely dinner of small plates, pizzas, and wine, and were not rushed.

Great evening with friends. We appreciated Firehouse for accommodating a lengthy stay after the happy hour. Great food as always!

We were a sextet of friends and four had been to Fireside. We chose the "chef's choice" dining option wherein staff chooses various items from the menu and serves them family style. We were all favorably impressed with the quality and variety of the food and the couple who had never eaten there and promised to return. The cocktail selection were standard items but modified; I was underwhelmed with the results and another person switched to wine. Service was pleasant and efficient.

A great place for casual dining. We have been here a few different occasions now and the firehouse has been pretty consistent. We don't live in this part of Portland, but we are jealous of the neighborhood that surrounds this great establishment. I know we'll be back again.
