Local Ocean Seafoods has become the premier destination for fresh, local seafood in Newport and on the Oregon Coast. Whether you have a craving for our famous fish tacos or shopping for fresh crab in the fish market, Local Ocean aims to give you the best seafood experience of your life. It is our mission, and not a day goes by that we do not hear that directly from our customers. Our Bayfront location is a casually sophisticated fish market and grill unlike any other around. Downstairs, market-style dining is accented with a central open kitchen where chefs prepare fresh grilled seafood dishes, floor-to-ceiling windows with roll-up glass doors afford views of the fishing boats in the harbor and the Yaquina Bay Bridge in the distance. Upstairs, panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean to the Coast Range are the backdrop to a more intimate dining experience, including a cozy beer and wine bar.

    Local Oceans was fantastic! Great atmosphere, great service and a reasonable price for really high quality and fresh seafood. The selection of beers, ciders and wines was extensive.

    We always try to visit this place when we are in the area and recommend it to friends. Our experience with Open Table was not good and we are told by Local Ocean they no longer use it for their reservation system.

    We loved, loved, loved our waiter. And the hostess was awesome. However, given that we had a reservation and had to wait 30-40 minutes past that reservation time, standing around, UGH. That was difficult with a group of 8 and only a few chairs for waiting and them being filled. The food was awesome of course! And, we had our BEST EVER waiter at LO this visit. A super nice guy, who was friendly and funny -- that has not always been the case with prior wait service making you feel unwelcomed -- this was quite different this time and it was really nice! We brought 6 people with us from out of town, and other than the long wait (even though we had reservation) - the night was great and everyone enjoyed the food tremendously and of course, we will continue to bring our out of town guests, but I hope the reservation can actually work out where we can be seated within 10-15 minutes of reservation, not 30-40. THE HOSTESS IS AWESOME. What a great attitude and patience working the front desk! Wow...

    Great food - the specials were interesting and amazing. Attentive and knowledgeable wait staff. Had window seat but it was dark out so couldn't really enjoy the bay view, other that the boat lights, which was nice. Will go back for sure.

    What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday with family. Thanks to the chefs our great grandson had a real live fire show!!! complete with vocal effects. The food fresh and delicious and attractively served. The wait staff attentive. What is NOT to like about LOCAL OCEAN SEAFOODS!!!
