El Larkin’s on the River es un restaurante galardonado de carnes de res de primera calidad, mariscos frescos y vinos selectos. The Larkin's 20th anniversary "White Hot" party begins at Larkin’s at Camperdown (32 E. Broad Street) with a specially curated four-course tasting menu that highlights guest favorites from our very first menu through today. It’s a culinary journey through two decades of flavor, crafted by the team that helped define Greenville’s dining scene. After dinner, the celebration continues at The L (211 E. Broad Street) — just a short walk away — where guests will enjoy live music by Randamonium, dancing, dessert and a full bar with specialty cocktails available for purchase. It had been four years since my wife, and I had visited Greenville and eaten at Larkin's by the river. Unbeknownst to us, they had moved to a nearby location. The "atrium" is no longer the quaint romantic dining area with a view of the river but is now tables next to the servers pick up location with a view into the kitchen. The "Dining Room" is the white tablecloth better seating option for a nice dinner. The staff was great and rearranged our reservation into the Dining Room with only a short wait at the bar for us. Bar is great with knowledgeable mixologists and a modern vibe. Food was excellent as always. The Filet was prepared, medium rare, to perfection with a nice char. Wifey's Sea Bass was also just right. The best for last. The Tres leches cake was absolutely phenomenal (and I'm not a big fan of cakes)! An overall wonderful experience despite the reservation hiccup, not fault of Larkin's, but they handled it superbly.

The back dinning room could be a little bit more quaint and personal. To me it was a bit louder than I was wanting for the occasion.

Birthday Dinner for my Hubby's 61st Birthday. He truly enjoyed it. The food was excellent, and the customer was top-notch. A special accent touch, a handwritten birthday card on the table. He was treated with delicious birthday dessert.

This was my first time here and I couldn't be more impressed! Our waiter, Phil, is in the top 3 waiters I've ever been served by. The perfect and Phil's suggestions for wine pairing was spot on! My Wife and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary tonight and I could not ask for more. Thank you Phil and Larkin's for the amazing night!

Met friends from out of town to grab a lunch and catch up. The BEST, most tasty sandwich i've had. Double BLT. Fried green tomato and an heirloom with thick juicy bacon. I pulled it out of the bread, at like a salad, then ate the bread anyway. Easy to have the conversation with our friends too!

This restaurant has gone downhill the last few years. Their AC was out on a 95° summer day, we ate indoors and had to fight away the gnats, one landed in my beer. Food and drinks were actually good, service was not. Talked to the owner, she was nice.

First of all, if a restaurant's AC isn't working in 90 degree heat,they should tell you when you arrive.Secondly,the food was mediocre at best.I had the oysters rockefeller and shrimp and grits.The oysters tasted "old" and ,although the shrimp were very good ,the grits were "clumpy",the gravy was too heavy and the andouille sausage was pretty much nonexistent. My girlfriend had the airline chicken breast and it was overcooked and dry.But ,she did enjoy the skinny fries she ordered separately and the creme brulee. On a positive note, our waiter was ver nice and the bottle of wine we had was good.

Definitely not a Steakhouse. There are only 2 steaks on the menu, ribeye and filet. We split the ribeye. It was overcooked and the quality/taste of the meat was on part with a lower end Steakhouse like Sizzler. The side served with the steak was bland and poor tasting. The mash potatoes had an off taste, my wife who loves mashed potatoes could not eat them. The She Crab soup was way to thick, like it had been sitting for a while and just reheated. Shrimp cocktail was dry and overcooked. Best thing we ordered was the oysters rockafeller which had a good taste but were lukewarm. Service was very good,. Our waitress tried to make up for a bad food experience with wit and a great attitude. Wine list was subpar - only 2 California/Oregon Chardonnays and one was not found on Vivino. We were told by the manager they had just hired a new chef and he will be tweaking the menu. We will probably never visit what used to be our favorite steak house in Greenville. I would not go to this restaurant until you are sure they have made improvements.

Waiter though a lot of himself. Spent 5-7 mins explaining what he knew about steak , while the $75 steak got cold, before serving it. Very slow and not professional. Served my husband first, not a biggie but at that price point it is a bit of an insult. Food was good, rediculiously expensive. The experience and service took away from what should have been a special meal.
