   Worst experience ever. Showed up to my reservation and they couldn’t accommodate my request for a booth that I had requested weeks in advance. They even tried to seat me at the BAR!!! Are you serious??? On Valentine’s Day!!!!! At 9:30pm which was my reservation time, they had run out of half the food items on the menu. Mind you it’s Valentine’s Day and everywhere else had no more open reservations. Never going back there

   Went for Valentine's Day. Fiancee had Prix Fixe which included appetizer (mediocre; a type of mozzarella like cheese, apple sause/jam spread, and other bits), an entree (filet, medium like requested and very flavorful), dessert (olive oil cake or mousse-type cake - both less than mediocre, not very inspired or interesting), and a flute of champagne (not good). I had a whole branzino (bone-in; excellent) and a twice baked potato (Meh). Service was excellent - server made sure we had a great time and was very personable. Cocktails were good but expensive. Would not go again for the price - there are plenty of other places in DC to try. The atmosphere from the advertisement that caused me to book made me think it would be a much more intimate setting. However, it was a very open seating space with a lot of small tables and no separation. Also, while they touted a flame grill, it's pretty much a small grill behind a sushi-like bar that you can watch if you sit side-by-side at the bar. It is not very intimate and not what I was expecting. Also pretty high noise level. TL;DNR - Great entrees and excellent service, but mediocre to sub-par prix fixe starters and desserts and a la carte side. Would not go again for the price or even, probably, at a reduced price.

   Granted it was Valentine’s Day- but I’m only saying something because my experience wasn’t a single incident. They were out of several menu items, the waitress was cool but I think she was overwhelmed. I drink a lot of water and we only got a refill once.. once we ordered (pick n choose ordering since they were out of steak, Brussels, and sweet potatoes) the food took 47 minutes to arrive. It was warm, not hot and it was just “ok”. Needless to say, at this price point, I had a very underwhelming experience and was slightly disappointed with the experience overall.

   Service was slow and inattentive. It was 30 minutes from sitting before our drinks we delivered then starter, main, and dessert cane rapid fire. Menu is limited which would be fine except both mains, especially the steak, lacked flavor.

   I had a special request on Valentines Day - someone at a hotel took notes and promised to relay to Cherry. Was supposed to be executed with deserts, but didn't happen. Still had a good time though.
