   We tried some of the new items on the menu. The Avocado bomb is pricey but delicious. Highly recommend for a shared appetizer. Is good for 3-4 people. The Dragon Salad is ok...good but not great. It is a nice addition to the menu if you feel like eating a small but tasty amount of steak. Portions are large so you cannot possibly walk away hungry.

   Took a friend who was visiting from out of town. J Alexander’s did not disappoint. Great steaks at a great price.

   I ordered a fish sandwich because I wanted to be a good boy. I took one bite and ammonia fumes emanated from the fish. I completely lost my appetite. The coleslaw was great. The were nice enough to replace my food with a hamburger but the night was ruined. I blame the cook. You know when fish is bad.

   I love this restaurant. The food is consistently goo and the waitstaff at this location is outstanding. There is always a great smell coming from the open kitchen. It’s just unfortunate that they have stopped accepting Open Table invitations, that’s how I book most of my reservations locally and around the country.

   My wife and I celebrated her birthday with dinner here. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. We enjoyed the ambiance - classy and not too noisy. One disappointing observation (although somewhat minor in scale): I had noted when I made the reservation in OpenTable that we were celebrating a birthday. When the hostess seated us, she placed a small tent sign on the side of the table that presumably provided information to our server. When I glanced at it, I saw that the birthday had been noted on it. In spite of this, neither the hostess, our server, nor the manager that visited our table mentioned the birthday at all. I also noticed several signs throughout the restaurant that they were switching to Resy as their reservation app, so I guess they won’t be available in OpenTable much longer.

    Excellent food. Service was fantastic. tried the key lime pie -- not an item to miss-- was the best key lime ever !!!
