My brother and his wife took me to Virtue for my birthday! Best birthday dinner ever! This was not my 1st time at Virtue, I went last year and had mixed reviews. This time everything was on point, the food, portions and amazing service by Joe! Did I mention, we both got parks in front of the restaurant. Great from start to finish!

Excellent service and food. My reservation was at 9 and I was seated upon arrival. The short ribs and blackened catfish were amazing!!! The drinks were reasonable and tasty. Next time I’m in Chicago, you will definitely be on the list.

Overall my experience at Virtue was good. A major hiccup that was annoying was having to eat our meal with a wobbly table. I made our server aware but he insisted it was due to the floor not being leveled. So that was annoying because he didn’t offer a solution to the problem. Once we got our food we quickly forgot about the wobbly table because the food was fantastic! Now the table was still a problem but the food made it better. As for the drinks/ cocktails, they weren’t bad. We decided to take 2 desserts to go. The key lime pie and bread pudding. They sounded great but unfortunately they were the worst part of what we ate at Virtue. They were extremely sweet! We ended up throwing them out. Overall, we enjoyed it. We plan on coming back but it won’t be our priority. Also they need valet .

Arrived early for our reservation hoping to get a seat at the bar since my elderly mom walks with a cane. Hostess wouldn’t let us. So we stood in small vestibule for 20 minutes until table was ready. Henry was our server and he was great. We ordered everything on the menu except 6 things. Everything was delicious especially the gumbo, asparagus, catfish, and steak. The Coconut lady and peach tree fizz were great drinks. We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband’s bday but next time will not arrive early.

Virtue was everything I hoped it would be. The food is fabulous. The fish and grits, blackened catfish, gumbo, collard greens, and cornbread were amazing. Great service, kind people- thank you!

I rarely eat at southern style establishments because my family members are such great cooks, but I love Virtue. I tried the collard greens for the first time and they were delicious! I love love the fired green tomatoes. I highly recommend Virtue!
