Was visiting from out of town and this was highly rated. Had the tomato burrata salad but the buratta was not good at all. Super dry and had an off taste. They comped it but it was disappointing to eat 3 so-so tomato slices for the first course They had copper river salmon advertised on their website and cooked a piece for me. But overcooked and didn’t say anything at this point as the place was really busy and we were intent on getting out of there. Our server was actually quite nice but given the busyness of the place and sub-par food it wasn’t conducive to getting stuff re-cooked.

It has been one of my favorite restaurants for many years. Always dependable great food and service. The short smoked salmon is my favorite and it’s the only place that does it the way they do it.

First Impressions If you want to see how the fine folks of Highland Park, TX. dine out, then this place should be on your bucket list. We saw more Rolls Royce, Mercedes G Wagons etc… than anywhere we’ve dined in the DFW metroplex to date. Valet valet is available and highly recommended. BTW this area is packed especially on a Saturday evening. If arriving by car, wait your turn, pull up to front door. You will be within 10-20 steps to the entrance, very efficient valet. 👍🏼 Snob Factor No need to pre-judge for just another Snobbish rich folks establishment, just book it Daño! Go have a great meal and enjoy the surroundings, both inside and outside. Based on our vast dining experience Worldwide, You shouldn’t be disappointed. *Be sure to check out the dress code before coming. Business Casual is OK. No coat required but you can elevate your dress if desired and not feel out of place either way. The Food *Cocktail’s- highly recommend the “Side Car”, very tasty, not too sweet, not too strong, but can be deceptive. limiting yourself to 1 serving especially if you are driving. 2 is OK if not driving. They also offer a great wine list but we passed on wine for this meal. *Appetizers Crab Remoulade, was a 10-10, Crab Louie Salad or chopped Blue Cheese both 10-10. *Hint-Order an extra pint of Crab Louie dressing to go. Make your own at home. The Crab Louie salad here is made with Jumbo Lump Crab (the original Crab Louie Salad is made with Dungeness crab meat). *Entries, Halibut (seasonal) with a side of the Risotto, Prime Strip Steak. *Dessert , Definitely the Chocolate Pecan Ice cream Ball. Dinner for 4 , including 4 cocktails, one shared appetizer, two dinner sized salad’s, 3 entrees ( 2- Halibut dishes and 1 Steak, 1 side of risotto, 1 baked potato and 1 shared dessert , 2 cups of coffee total $360 with $90 tip $450 total. Overall food rating compared to DFW Metroplex 85-100 Atmospheres 90-100, Service 85-100 *Highly recommended 👍🏼👍🏼

At least in the top 5 for a superior dining experience. Service is top notch from the moment you enter the door you are warmly greeted and escorted to your table. A waiter arrives immediately requesting drink orders. We shared the crab appetizer and each had a salad, all delicious! My husband ordered the scallops with mushroom risotto and loved it. I planned to order the lemon sole (which I’ve had before and love) however, I was filling up and decided to order the tortilla soup. Not my favorite but everything was made right when the dessert arrived! Ice cream rolled in chocolate.

I used to really enjoy this restaurant — the food and service were excellent. But now, everything has changed. The sea bass dish I ordered looked nothing like the menu photo, and the server was dismissive when I asked about it. They pushed us to order lobster, which didn’t taste fresh at all. On top of that, the service felt rushed and inattentive. For nearly $400 for two people, I expected much better quality and care. Hopefully, they can improve… 😂😂

Generally fanstastic. Best service of any restaurant in Dallas. Food is excellent. Atmosphere is old school elegant. Only two slight issues with the food. The clam chowder was delicious but there were a couple of lumps of undissolved roux in the bottom of my bowl. I ordered the hamburger (which is unbelievably good) but it was slightly undercooked - despite pretty clear instructions to the waiter. The bourbon malt desert shake is worth the trip, in and of itself.
