  • "Arrived for our 11:30 reservation and could not find a parking space. Valet told me there was nothing I could do but keep driving around lots until I found one. I walked inside at 11:30 and we were told that there were no tables available but we could wait ( no wait time specified) or eat outside. Buffet food was not good and layout disorganized. The warmers for roasted veggies and quiche were empty. I reported this to waitress working the buffet but she walked away but never got veggies or quiche. Waited in line for approx 30 minutes for scrambled eggs and an omelette. When we were through eating could not get waitress to take our payment. Overall a bad dining experience. I will not return nor will I recommend to anyone."

  • "Full disclosure we love Simms! We were engaged at Simms and return for all special occasions... as usual, the Easter brunch didn't disappoint. However, the only drawback noted was the fact that several items were not available during a turn at the buffet. At first turn, no bison, at second turn, no fish and Brussels sprouts. At third turn, no waffles. My point is, perhaps demand was too high(?). I wouldn't mind paying more for a bit less mayhem at the buffet line. That said, typical Simms buffet, excellent! Our Server, Donovan, was excellent! Completely attentive, very accommodating and just a wonderful young Man. The deck was magnificent and the view of Denver was epic. Another solid, commendable, experience. We'll be back."

  • "I was not allowed to cook because of recent medical proceedure. I made the reservation late Sat or early Sun morning. It had been years since I had been to Simms. I was pleasantly surprise by the atomspher and the friendly greetings by the staff. I had an excellent meal . My meat was cooked to perfection my shrimp was wonderful, as was the salad. I am hoping when my sister comes to visit we can take her."

  • "Had a very nice brunch for Easter - the food was good the only issue I had was the buffet area was very unorganized they had different tables all over and only in one area (we were downstairs and had to go all the way up the stairs to get our food so we had to go and and down which was kind of a pain). They should put the buffet in one straight line instead of little tables everywhere - took us forever just to find the plates - also they should have a station with just scrambled eggs - you had to wait in this really long line (took me 20 minutes) just to get eggs so the rest of my food got cold. The food was very good and the service was nice just very unorganized."

  • "We've been to Simms for Easter brunch several times but this year it didn't quite measure up. Several of the food items were left empty and not replaced for quite some time. The food stations were not clearly marked as to what they offered. I saw several people with Eggs Benedict but never saw where to get them. I asked someone but he didn't speak English. The room where the buffet is set up is too small. They have outgrown the space where they offer brunch and can't keep up with the demand. "

  • "My wife enjoyed our dinning experience from the moment we pulled into valley to the time we pulled out. She has never been there before but I have been there on several occasions. The service is always great and the food was exquisite. We had tuna for the appetizer. I lived my prime rib and she had the Mahi Mahi. Great anniversary with a awesome view of the Denver skyline. "

  • "Took my wife here for her birthday. The steak was great . She had the lobster and it was great too. The view of town as the sun goes down and the lights come on just added to the magic of the night. Before we knew it we'd been there for a couple hours. Nice getaway!!!"

  • "This was not the best brunch that we have been to & we will not be back because there are too many really good brunches with a lot more items with high quality food. For example, the shrimp were very mushy & the crab legs hardly had any crab in them & you couldn't get the crab out because they were over done. The ribs were just bones & no meat maybe because they were picked over & they left the bones & didn't replenish the ribs."

  • "Greeted by wait person with specials, including wine. Her knowledge led us to try the wine special that was well priced and very good. Our meal choice was standard fare, shared wedge, filet mignon with green beans and tomato garnish. We ordered the au gratin potatoes. The potatoes were outstanding and the rest of the meal was wonderful. I liked it that the server asked us to cut into the filet to make sure it was done correctly; mine was more rare than I wanted so the took it back and returned quickly, done just right. That was much better than me eating it and complaining later. A manager returned the steak to me, in only a couple of minutes. The whole process got me a perfect steak and almost no waiting."

  • "We went on a Friday afternoon during Happy Hour and dinner for my wife's birthday. Moderately busy but the waiting staff seemed overwelmed. We didn't get attention for at least 15-20 mintues. And when it came the waitress had no water and didn't asked if we even wanted water. That was just the beginning of a long wait for subpar food that was over priced and slow service. The service was polite however."

  • "We dined at Simms on Sunday evening and my steak had no seasoning and was over cooked. It wasn't bad.... Just not what a $160.00 dinner should have been. We have dined there a few times before and we're going to bring some friends at another time?? We dined there for my birthday in October this year and last, the food and service were awesome! Our waitress was kind of dingy and seemed to rush us out of there. I would consider going back ...... But cautiously. We has recommended friends and family to go there In the past, because of our past experiences, but would have to hear of a change. Regards Jeff Powers"

  • "I dined with my family at Simm's Steakhouse for my mom's 50th birthday. They printed up a special menu for her and everything. The food was spectacular and not to mention the amazing Moscato wine to go with dinner. After our delicious food we went over to the bar area to sit by the fire, and see the amazing views of the city at night. Service was fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a wonderful night out!"

  • "On 3/9/14, I made reservations for two for 6:45pm on 3/28/14. My husband & I were celebrating a very special occasion--his birthday, which I specifically requested we be seated at a table nearest the window with a city view wherein we have dined on many special occasions in years passed. My husband is hard of hearing & these tables afford us the opportunity to have a discussion without being surrounded by other busy/noisey tables. At this visit on 3/28/14, our request was ignored & we were seated in an area behind the window-view tables and in between several tables on all sides. The surrounding area was extremely noisey & subsequently unable to effectively communicate to one another. For our inconvenience, we were "comped" 2 cocktails."

We just happened to visit on a Wednesday which is half-price wine night for bottles over $100. The wine list is extensive and we found a few that were superb choices. The service was spot on. The hostess appeared to be clueless and was off on her statements as to when we would be seated. Suggest they seat people with Reservations first and those without in the lounge area or have them wait until parties are late for their reservations."

  • "We were celebrating my father's birthday...which happened to fall during Restaurant Week. I was afraid we wouldn't be able to get a reservation at Simms Steakhouse, let alone a decent meal. Turned out, neither fear was warranted. We were able to get a reservation on a busy Friday evening. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was impeccable. The Restaurant Week menu was delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly and delivered to the table piping hot. All members of our party were impressed. The only slight weakness were the two dessert choices. They were OK but nothing memorable. Maybe desserts aren't really Simms Steakhouse's forte?"

  • "Having visited Simm's before, this was the first time for Restaurant Week. Our group was surprised by two people, the bartender and our server. The bartender appeared to be unfriendly and not happy to be serving us. Our server kept trying to up-sell us everything, even a cappuinco. This was a first for me at Simm's. Usually everyone is so nice and it is a wonderful experience!!!"
