We arrived a little early thinking we would need to wait at the bar, but was seated immediately. The girl who seated us was absolutely a joy to talk with and set our evening off with all positive vibes. The waiter (John)was on his game. He was prompt with the water, the wine, and all of his recommendations were perfect. My wife actually said several times over the last couple of days......"just had the best steak I have ever had!!"

After a few minutes, I was approached by one of the managers and told that they were out of stock for some reason. I asked for a suggestion for a wine equal to Stag's Leap and the wine manager suggested Chimney Rock.
The wine was good until I got the bill. It sold for $140.00 a bottle. I would have expected the suggestion to be in the same price range as the Stag's Leap, not a 50% increase. Perhaps I should have inquired if the bottle was priced the same. The wine manager should have either stated that the price was 50% more or suggested a wine in the same price range.

Our Financial Advisor Mark Truitt often has our financial seminars at the Silver Fox. The food is excellent each and every time and of course Shawn is there if we need anything.

Our server was excellent also, but I was disappointed that the boy with the garnishes never came to our table in the hour and a half that we were there (he served the tables behind us on both ends; once when we were seated and once again when we left, but never made an appearance at our table). That was disappointing and a little rude. I should not have to ask for such a service. III Forks was much better about their garnish boy/girl and actually served my table many times before I was done with my dinner there. However, I do prefer the steak at Silver Fox. Ordered 8 oz filets cooked medium and they were all prepared well.
Like that entrees included mashed potatoes, sliced tomatoes and green onions.
Also, ordered creamed corn which was cut fresh from the cob and mac and cheese which was rich and creamy...both very good.

This time the service was good but didn't seem exceptional as it always has. I observed many other tables that seemed to be getting exceptional service but I felt a bit neglected.
