At 7:30 on a Saturday evening the place was empty. At this price point, Vic and Anthony's is far superior."

  • "The food was outstanding and flavorful. However, the restaurant is so quiet that I might as well have taken my food to an empty church. There really is no minimal dress code, so you can be dressed elegantly while the individual next too you looks like they just got off their skate board. I went on a Saturday evening and was expecting a little more of a night life atmosphere or even a three piece band. Won't go there again, for the price I expect a little more entertainment. Quite frankly, we got bored and left as soon as the food was done. "

They made sure we had everything we needed promptly, and the hostess even came over to make sure we were on schedule. The Hyatt shuttle even took us to the venue!! We will definitely return!!"

  • "How this restaurant can bill itself as a steakhouse is beyond me. One would expect at a premium steakhouse that the server might focus on serving the steak properly. I ordered a $44 filet medium rare. When it was served it was set down in front of me and during the entire meal the server never came back to inquire if it was cooked properly or how the meal was going. The next time we saw her was with the check. Instead of being medium rare, the steak was on the done side of medium and as dry due to overcooking. My colleagues ordered non-beef items and were pleased with their selections - perhaps they should change their marketing to great seafood."

  • "My husband and I love a good steak, and we loved that Shula's had 2 different porterhouse steaks to share on the menu! It was cooked perfectly and delicious. The roasted corn side was incredible, as was the mozzarella-caprese salad. I must say that the sourdough bread they brought beforehand was probably the best I've ever had--hot, fresh and incredible (I ate way too much ofit)!! We really enjoyed the evening and the meal--the only thing that would have made it better would have been to move Shula's to the top of the Hyatt Regency Hotel instead of off the lobby--then you'd also get an incredible view of the city while dining!"

  • "I started with an onion soup and my fiancé had the lobster bisque. Both were outstanding! For the main course I hada filet mignon cooked to perfection and garlic mashed potatoes. My fiancé had the grilled chicken with green beans. Both meal were flavorful and went down so easy! The cost of the meal was reasonable compared with other notable steak houses. The food was exceptional and ranks with the top notable steak houses. The ambiance was good and the whole dinner was a good value. The waiter was pleasant and we shared a few laughs. We will do it again."

  • "I made reservations for 8:30, and earlier in the day i received a confirmation call and i confirmed my time at 8:30 well as it would happen we were late , (not her fault this time) so i called the restaurant to inform them i would be late of course it was very busy and the maitre d' explained i may have a little wait as it was Valentines day and they were pretty busy.. We arrived 35 minutes late and to my suprise we were promptly seated without ant waiting. with all the new and upscale restaurants that are in the area and i have dined at them all, the entire staff was by far the best i have seen in a very long time, very courteous, not overbearing and they displayed a super team spirit ."

  • "The dishes which we had exceeded our expectations. Our main server was so knowledgeable about wines, it was both a great dinning and wine discussion experience. He enjoyed what he did and wanted to make sure that we had an excellent dinning experience. For dinner we had filet steak with lobster shrimps, done to our individual requests. I had lobster bisque and my wife had salad -- both were excellent. By the time the dessert came around (chocolate brownie with raspberry topping) we were so full, but had to try the dessert! The wine we had was Two Hands and the server introduced us to another excellent wine, Paraduxx which was so good we went and bought few bottles the following day. An excellent restaurant and great service."

  • "I had the filet for lunch-- it was very well cooked and delicious, as well as the side salad. However, the restaurant is sort of in the side of the lobby, and there was construction going on with the escalators during our lunch discussions, which was kind of awkward during lunch with a client. We also had to ask our waiter several times that we were ready to order, and that we needed our bill. Food was good-- just would not recommend it as a steakhouse, definitely can find a better experience and same level of food for that price"

The sourdough bread was so good we had to order an extra loaf to take home to our "carbivore". Service was also excellent; very friendly and attentive when needed."

  • "I have been going here for several years, but both the food and the service seems to have slipped a little. The staff used to be quite personable, thought that seems to stop at the front desk now. Wait staff is either non existent or hovering to the point of just irrritating. Is there ANY training done with these staff members? The steak I ordered (filet) was good, but far under seasoned. It was a mediocre visit - enough for me to take a look around before deciding on a DT lunch spot."
