"Had a great experience here. Fantastic venue and impressed the girlfriend a lot. Service was outstanding and we didn't have any issue. Booking the reservation was very simple and extremely fast."

"The smell of the food being prepared tempts you as you walk past the open kitchen to your table. Plenty of friendly wait staff stationed conveniently around the room to cater to your every need. Food was excellent and staff did not push you out of your table: even though there was a wait they allowed my girlfriend and I to dine at our own pace."

"Excellent atmosphere and service was absolutely perfect. Food was great.I had the filet and my husband had the asian ribs. The filet was tender and flavorful. The asian ribs literally fell of the bone. Overall great food. Price was just right."

"This was our second visit to Shoemakers. Our first experience was awful! But all of our friends love it, so when I got a gift certificate for my birthday we decided to try it again. The food was Amazing! My husbands Filet was the best we have tasted in years. It tasted like steaks used to. My Prime Rib was wonderful, full of flavor. Loved the bread and Joyce our waitress. Awesome place! Thanks! Lee & Rebekah"

"Had an exceptional meal, which accompanied an exceptional overnight at the Craddock Terry Hotel. I can't recommend the two highly enough! I'm afraid to post too many superlatives ... I want to go back again, but worry that as word gets out, I'll never get a reservation!"

"This was a business dinner and we had a wonderful table. Service was prompt and efficient. Everyone mentioned the tasty food. I had tuna and the form was not what I expected but what a wonderful surprise. It was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant"

"Shoemaker's can be hard to find as it is set back from the street and (since the street is on a hill) below street level. This was our second visit, so no problem there. It is part of an old shoe factory. Another part of the factory is now a hotel. Finding parking can be a challenge given the "hotel parking only" and "no parking" signage in the vicinity of the restaurant. We dined early and found a spot on the street about a block away. Finding a spot would have been more of a challenge when we left two hours later. We were not rushed nor were we forgotten. The filet was remarkable: the best I have ever eaten. The wine list is extensive for Lynchburg. Shoemaker's is expensive but we'll be back for special occasions"
