"We had a very enjoyable experience for Easter Brunch. We were seated promptly and our waiter was very attentive. The food was great. We were seated towards the end of the buffet and unfortunately the avocado bowls were both empty. They did replenish before the meal was over. It was very good and must have been very popular."

"While the wine, appetizer and service were good, the food was awful. The Grouper was slimy and tasteless and the Nicoise salad had no flavor. The Chocolate cheesecake was stale and dry. For spending $206 it was definitely not worth it."

"We went for Easter Sunday brunch....buffet was good, but selection was limited to breakfast items, no lunch items. It was crowded, but not overbearing, but it was Easter. The hotel went all out, with hourly Easter egg hunts and other activities. One thing to note -- do not be afraid to eat outside,and do not be afraid of the person walking around with the tall "roman battle-flag pole" with a falcon perched on it -- it keeps the other birds away! Once the bird is gone more than a couple of minutes, the other birds are back....simply amazing! One of the nicest, if not priciest places for brunch in Coronado."

"Dined for dinner at the Sheerwater upon our arrival at the Hotel Del. My family of 5 each enjoyed our meals. My son commented on how perfectly cooked his steak was and my daughter loved the penne in a brandy cream sauce so much, we had to go back the next day so she could order it for lunch. By far, though, the creme brulee is a MUST!! The best I have ever tasted!!"

"Very disappointed in the food. At the same time, it is a wonderful location with a terrific view, and absolutely the best and most attentive staff anywhere. On this visit for dinner with guests the halibut was terrible, mostly skin with little meat on the fish. My guests also were disappointed. One said the grouper was not very good. On an ealier visit for lunch, the Opah was good but the polenta is a bad idea for a vegetable. The price is too high for bad food. Will not return."

"Just great! I spent only four days in San Diego and went twice to the hotel. Lunch at the Sheerwater was fantastic: great view, amazing service and delicious food. Can anyone ask for something else? Highly recommended!"
