Diner Reviews
  • "We had fried calamari and it was awful. It was over battered and tasted like it was refried. Mussels was very tasty. Sable fish was excellent"

  • "We were very pleased to be able to get a table outside on such a warm evening! The menu was interesting and our choices were all very good. Our waiter was very efficient."

  • "We made reservations but when we reached our seats, we discovered it was indoors so we asked if we could get a table outdoors. Our request was quickly fulfilled with a beautiful view. Food was great, server was attentive, great place to have a romantic date! Highly recommend."

  • "Sadly, after much consideration we took a visitor from the UK To Seasons for his last evening's dinner. Although, the service was great and the food passable the noise was so loud that we couldn't hear our waiter or each other! A bit of a disaster!!"

  • "Unique place with spectacular view of Vancouver city and bay, beautiful presentation of the food and very tasty. Perfect for special occasion service excellent we had wonderful experience thank you, George"

  • "We went for the Sunday prime rib dinner special which was excellent, but a bonus was the sangria pitchers available in the summer. $18 for a pitcher which poured about 6-7 glasses is a great price!"

  • "We had not been to Seasons for some time and decided to take a friend for a special birthday dinner. We were surprised at how much more crowded it seemed and also how much louder it was. The noise was not only coming from other patrons but also from the open kitchen which many restaurants feel they must have. The tables were so close together that the servers were not able to pass each other if they happened to meet. While the food was good, our meal seemed rushed and we did not feel we could linger over our coffee which we like to do. We had chosen Seasons because of the fabulous view, the excellent food and the superior experience it had provided for us in the past.On the whole we were a little disappointed with the experience this time."

  • "Was one of the most spectacular views that I have ever seen. Food and service also great."

  • "There is no denying the beauty of the location for Seasons in the Park - perched above the public garden in the eponymous Queen Elizabeth Park with an expansive view of downtown Vancouver and its mountainous skyline, all the window tables are designed to maximize this selling point. Food is typical of a tourist-trap restaurant and obviously not the focus; I'll wager you've seen/eaten all of their menu items before - but done better elsewhere...and for better value. Service was inoffensively forgettable. Note: $1.50 for hot water policy. If you are looking for a romantic spot or an exceptional restaurant to plan for a special occasion meal, my humble recommendation is that you look elsewhere to avoid disappointment by lackluster mediocrity."

  • "This is my second time visiting this restaurant. I have two points to make: The menus looked dated and cheap. We arrived at 2.30pm and were given "Brunch Menu" to choose from. That is not what you expect from a restaurant that claims to be the best in the city and it's prices show for it. Second, the furniture and restaurant is starting to look tired. Maybe a renovation is needed. The bathroom is clean. But, again, you can tell it has aged and needs to be renovated."

  • "We found the service to be superb, the food delicious although a bit pricy. We had an issue which was addressed quickly by management to our satisfaction. We will return sometime in the future."

  • "My husband and I have eaten here a few times; in fact we got married here 2 years ago and were celebrating our anniversary. The food is amazing, the service is spectacular and the view is breathtaking. A must visit for special occasions."

  • "It's a beautiful room but it holds the noise. The food was good, the service was good if not overly attentive . There were a lot of flies though in the restaurant... kind of ruined the experience. The patio is to die for, maybe the best in the city and I loved the farm style sinks in the restrooms. I will return for sure."

  • "We were given a gift certificate to be used either at Seasons in the Park, Teahouse, Carderos or Sandbar and after reviewing the menus decided on Seasons in the Park. They have a wonderful prime rib special on Sundays which includes a caesar salad to start, prime rib dinner that includes yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, green beans and an oven roasted tomatoe and then to end the meal a piece of chocolate mousse cake. It was so good!!! The prime rib was excellent and came the way that I ordered it. The service from both the waiter and the assistant was wonderful and made the night even more special. We will definitely be going back and bringing friends with us the next time!!!"

  • "We tok my twin brother and his wife for lunch followng the wedding of our daughter two days before. We have been several times before and we all so enjoyed a wonderful occasion with excellent food wine, service and a spectacular view."

  • "We had the Prime Rib special on a Sunday evening. The Caesar salad had some kind of crunchy capers that were really yummy. The prime rib was cooked to perfection - not too rare. The chocolate cake was the best we've ever tasted - so chocolaty & creamy. But the best part was the view! We have never seen the city of Vancouver look so beautiful. The only problem that we see, is that you can not book a table on the patio. Other than that, it was a great experience. We will be back for sure."

  • "The view of the gardens and of the city and surround sparked great conversation on landmarks and different areas of Vancouver. The service was fabulous, food was very good. Everything was fresh, the right temperature, very tasty and satisfying. Service flowed without undue impact on our conversation. It was my first choice for visiting friends and family and it was the right choice. They're all Master Gardeners, so nothing gets past them."

  • "We've discovered this restaurant walking thru the Park so we took lunch there and the patio was so amazing that we decided to come back at night a couple days later. Afterwards every time family comes to town we go there. Sunset is quite nice and even if the menu has changed few times it's nice to go and remember."

  • "The views and service were amazing. Book reservations, wait for a table with a view. It's worth it. It's a gem for a Saturday or Sunday brunch. The only issue was we waited a while for our food. The crab cake was the best I have ever tasted (Better than my grandmothers) but the eggs benny and omelette were great. Its hard to make these breakfast items fantastic though. The price is well worth it for brunch. I would go back in heartbeat and try something else. I would bet a million dollars that it would be fantastic."

  • "Reception was courteous, aware of the fact that this was a special occasion; my wife's 70th birthday, was acknowledged. Service was friendly, professional & knowledgable. Food was delicious, well presented on heated plates (important!); all together a memorable experience."

  • "I go to the Seasons at least a couple of times a month. But the food on both Jun.13 & 17 were overcooked. On Jun.17 we were waited on after 15 mins."

  • "It was a disappointment. I have always loved Season's but this time not so much. 2 people in our group felt the quality of the food was poor and the bouillabaisse was in a red base not broth, the seafood over cooked and vert few pieces of fish. The coffee was stone cold and we had to reorder and the second time 1 of the 3 was cold again - decaf coffee . Seems the dessert menu has not changed for years. Sad that it was less than I expected for our birthday celebrations (2 of the 5). Will not return"

  • "Service and food are great at the price they are charging, desserts could use some improvements tho. Notably sorbet really didn't come anywhere near the quality of their other items."

  • "We enjoyed our experience at Seaons in the Park. Service was good and the ambience was beautiful. Food is a bit on the expensive side considering its quality and presentation. We have been to many nice hotel restaurants where we paid much more for dinner but the food was more impressive. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience and it's a great place to take out of town guests."

  • "A broad range of predictable menu items, well prepared. The location is superb, offering beautiful panoramic views and scenic walks in a lovely park."

  • "We sat in the heated patio on a late spring evening and had the 3-course prime rib dinner. The meal was delicious, the salad crisp and fresh, the beef tender, the potato melts in the mouth, the service great. As the sun set, we were treated to a fabulous light show on the cityscape. It is rare to find a restaurant that offers such scenery and maintains food quality. Will return for sure!"

  • "The waitress was very courteous and comments/questions were made short and brief, without much influencing diners. A very good dining experience. However, when the main course arrived, the bread remaining in the basket away without asking if we'd like to continue with it."
    Dined on 6/8/2014
  • "We enjoyed the view but it took a long time for our brunch to arrive and the food was overcooked. Service was spotty and the servers initially brought us the wrong order. The same thing happened to other tables around us. It was quite busy on this Sunday and it appeared understaffing was an issue. I'll give it another try but the dining experience on this day was decidedly underwhelming."
    Dined on 6/8/2014
  • "I took my girlfriend there for her birthday and I managed to get the last reservation for 2. I requested a table on the patio so we could enjoy the amazing view! The staff was very accommodating and I got exactly what I asked for. Also the food was amazing. My guest has a gluten allergy and there were great options for her on the menu."

  • "This restaurant was recommended to us by a frequent traveler to Vancouver. This was our first trip to Vancouver and we eat at this restaurant on our last night in town. If we had known how beautiful the scenery would be and how great the food and service is, we definitely would have dined there several times. (I had the pork chops and my spouse had the halibut.) Queen Elizabeth Park is absolutely gorgeous! After dinner we walked around the gardens and enjoyed every minute. Would definitely go back when we are in town again."
