Diner Reviews
  • "Everything from beginning to end was wonderful. We started with appetizers and drinks(best margaritas in the world) on the outside upper level deck about 5:30 pm. Adrianna was our gracious, smiling server. She was extremely helpful with photographing us with our phone cameras. We were buzzed to our requested table about 10 minutes early which was perfect timing. Mary B was our next excellent server at our favorite table(#75) and provided just the right amount of professional service. Thank you all for helping make our night a fond memory!"

  • "Very unhappy about not satisfying the customer. We order prime rib rare and it was medium. In my opinion no matter how good the food was I will not recommend this resturant for that reason. They did not for any reason want to make us happy."

  • "made a reservation on line for 5:30 PM. Also had an earlier meeting there at 4:00 PM. We were thrown out of an area of the restaurant as it was called "closed" even thought it was open with other people The front desk did not know how to properly handle the two events. The front desk coordinator was unfriendly. The second floor bar personnel was not well educated; need much customer interface training"

  • "Had not been to the Sea Watch in a few years, was pleasantly surprised! Service was good. Quiet. Great Conch chowder and real lobster is added to the lobster bisque. Very quiet. Can get a little dark once the sun sets and they dim the lights."

  • "Our waitress Adrainna was very slow, it was just our table of 4 and one guy at the bar, she could hardly handle our drink order, she didn't know any of the prices and when she went to find out it took way too long! When she finally did bring our drinks out it was almost 15 minutes later! I could see her just standing there talking with the bartender the whole time! The last straw was when she told us it was extra to "add ice" to my Johnny Walker! I don't even want to get started on how long she took to bring the bill, I finally just told my husband to go up to the Bar and pay it... Such a bad experience we did not stay for dinner! It's unfortunate because it seemed like a very nice place."

  • "This was a great place to get some really good fresh seafood. I was visiting this past weekend from Orlando and read some good reviews, so I decided to try it out for dinner. I ordered the blackened Mahi and it was delicious. The restaurant was a perfect setting for nighttime, well lit, romantice, however, the night i went for some reason it was very hot inside. It was nearly 85 degrees outside, but it felt about the same inside. Besides that, the food was great. It was almost closing time and people were still walking in. My salad was a little soggy, but overall I had a great experience. I would go back again... earlier of course to see the sunset"

  • "Dinner was very good. The scallops were outstanding."

  • "Great location directly on the beach; wonderful ambiance. Food was unremarkable: Oysters not fresh (would not order again); salads had some ice from storage, but were decent; mussels were a little dry, but sauce was good; scallop entrée was good; fried shrimp were average; salmon was small and disappointing; sides of veggies, mushrooms, mashed potatoes, corn, were all small, but good. Entrée pricing was a little high, considering their unremarkable quality and small portion size and, most entrées require sides to be purchased separately, only increasing the cost. Diners are clearly paying for the location and view. Service overall was good, from hostesses, waitress on down to the bussers. However, valet staff drove around too fast."

  • "Where to start? We got to there and were "greeted" by 4 very unfriendly hosts. The oldest one who looked like she was having a "very bad mood day". They took our names and did not even tell us to wait or give us a pager, they let us just stand there. After 15 minutes they tried sitting us in a table next to a busy waiters station. We asked to be changed so they put us in the "Captain's Table" area which was an "over crowded separate spare space after thought" part of the restaurant. Waited 30 mins for appetizer salad. We had to wait so long for entrees that we asked our server to bring us our food to go. We had a hungry toddler who needed to eat and had had enough bread already. This place has nice location but the service is horrible."

  • "food is usually very good. but this time our food was cold and undercooked even after we told the waitress we wanted our seafood well cooked and hot. when we told her the issue she just shrugged but the mgr took our food off the bill. we took some friends that hadnt been there before and it was embarrasing as we had raved about the restaurant."

  • "Good food here. The best things at our table was the calamari and prime rib. I am a bit bothered by open-tables dollar sign ranking in comparison to my favorite restaurant, Seasons 52. the reason I am a bit bothered is becasue Sea Watch is ranked $$ ($30 and under), but Seasons 52 is ranked $$$ ($31-50), based on my bill at Sea Watch and the general prices, the restaurants should be equal, whatever that level may be. Many of the entree items at Sea Watch are at or above $30, and they don't include sides. $25 entree, 6$ soup, 4$ side, $9 glass of wine = $44 per person, and is much more accurate then assuming each person will get an entree only. That excludes an appetizer for two, a second drink, etc... Good food, misleading price level."

  • "Food was quite good, though Grouper portion was very small, perhaps 3oz. Glad I ordered 1/2 doz oysters and lobster bisque for starters. Oysters were very good and fresh (raw). Lobster bisque was excellent. Grouper was also very good perfectly prepared. The oceanfront setting is very nice. After dinner, went upstairs to bar/lounge. Nice! Will definitely visit again. Prices are very reasonable."

  • "I hadn't been to the Seawatch in 10+ years. On vacation with my family in South Florida, we decided to have dinner there. It did not disappoint! Food was delicious, service was excellent, and of course, the view and ambiance are second to none! Highly recommend!"

  • "Sea Watch is one of our favorite restaurant spots. We always visit when we are in Southeast Florida. In fact, we stayed in Naples and still drove over to Sea Watch for dinner! Its really worth the drive due to the lovely view of the beach and seascape, especially at twilight. The seafood is fresh and excellently prepared, and every dish we have tried is a delight. We heartily recommend that you make the effort to dine at Sea Watch when you are in the area."

  • "The menu from 5 to 6pm is an outstanding bargain. the prime rib is tender and cooked to your specs. Love the lobster too--ask to have claws cracked in the kitchen if you are a weakling as I am! Service this summer has been excellent. Absolutely no complaints."

  • "Our reservation was for 5:15pm but when we got there at 5:00pm it looked like they were not ready to begin for the night. They gave us a pager and we did not get sitted until 5:30pm, we also saw emplyees coming in late and rushing. The server we had was very dry and it felt like she did not want to be working the night, we also heard another server mocking a customer beacuse she had order hot teat with her dinner "saying who gets hot tea when it's so hot out". The meal was good for the price (we had the early bird) I had the grilled lobster (a little over cooked & the wife had the seafood combo) we also each had a glass of wine with dinner (little over price $8 a glass). Other than that we had a very nice time and provably go back."

  • "Pricey for quality of food. Everything is a al a carte. Good view of ocean. If and when you go make sure its a full moon."

  • "This was our second time visiting Sea Watch, I love the setting but the food was better the first time. The tomato broth in the Mussells and Clams app was great, but everything else seemed bland. Grouper filet was good but could have used the help of some fresh herbs to brighten up the flavor of the topping (capers, anchovy, egg). Our first visit was in the spring, we enjoy sitting out back with the open windows facing the ocean (best feature of this restaurant) but in the summer, some fans in the back (open area) would make it more comfortable for diners as it did feel very warm (even at 7:30 in the evening). We were intent on enjoying the evening (anniversary) so these shortcomings were overlooked. Fixing them would take this place to a 5."

  • "Arrived a little early for our 7 pm reservation so had to wait 10 minutes then we were escorted to our Table which was outside ,the only problem We had with that ,we were not asked if we preferred to be seated inside (ac) or outside ,also I stated on my Reservation that it was our 48th anniv. But they seemed liked they never knew ,was not happy about that ,so why ask if it was a special occasion then not react to it ,the food was good but we were seated where the was a loud child ,server was pleasant ,all in all not bad ,but was somewhat disappointed that the staff ignored our special day and I was not going to bring it up again"

  • "From the Hostess to the waitress we received unfriendly service - as if they were doing us a favor by providing the service that should accompany a restaurant as pricey as this one. The only exception to this was our bar waitress. She was helpful and friendly. We might try Sea Watch again, however with a long list of very good restaurants in the area, it has fallen way down on the list."

  • "We found this restaurant online and could not have been more pleased. We got there early and walked on the beach before going inside to eat. We ate at dusk. This offered a 3 course meal at a wonderful price. The salad was light and fresh, the lobster perfectly prepared and dessert finished off the meal. The view was wonderful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an exceptional meal at a great price."

  • "I took some good friends of mine on 7/11 for a real Florida Dining experience. It is awesome that the Sea Watch still delivers a killer Sunset Menu, excellent quality, service and great selections for only $21.95. I live here year round so summer is great forme. And I come down from Delray that has scads of dining places but nothing to match Sea Watch"

  • "We need a reservation using OpenTable for Tuesday. The restaurant did not pull down the comments indicating that we were bringing a stroller and that we were celebrating two birthdays. The host at the front told us immediately that he did not have space for our stroller without even asking if we had a reservation. My birthday requests for my husband and father were never fulfilled. We've been to Seawatch on many occasions, and I have never received such poor service before. I do hope this is a one time anomaly as I would hate to have to find another venue for our family celebrations."

  • "Sea Watch is consistently great. We are fortunate to be only 15 minutes away. We had our favorite, and outstanding server, Robin. She was working outside so it was as if we were on the beach itself. The margaritas are outstanding. We enjoyed the crab cake, mahi mahi, and great desserts - fruit cobbler and vanilla ice cream and a hot fudge sundae with chocolate ice cream."

  • "This was our 2nd time at Sea Watch and we truly enjoyed it. The lobster bisque was delicious and delivered at a perfect temperature. My husband ordered the double stuffed lobster tails and they were outstanding. Other than our waitress ( who I suspect was having a bad day or not enjoying her job), we loved our experience."

  • "I've been to Seawatch a handful of times in my life, generally for special occasions. I made a reservation online and was able to talk to a hostess to get an upper-floor ocean view table. I took out a lovely lady for a first date, definitely a great choice. I had the grouper and she had the mahi mahi. Everything was fantastic from the service to the view and of course the food. It shall always remain a choice restaurant in my book."

  • "I brought my family here because I'd heard what a wonderful menu Sea Watch had. We were seated promptly, but our waitress never once cracked a smile. While she did her job reasonably well, she made us feel like we had inconvenienced her by showing up. The food was so-so, nothing special. My niece ordered the angel hair pasta with goat cheese and shrimp. The menu stated it contained red pepper flakes, so she didn't expect the lip-burning dish she was given. We asked the waitress to bring another, less spicy version, and all they did was water down her original plate and remove some of the shrimp. It was inedible. The prices were much higher than the "$$" rating given to it by Open Table. Other than the view, I wouldn't recommend it."

  • "The view is magnificent, the food wonderful, and the service is great BUT the Wednesdays special---1/2 priced bottles of wine(any wine on their list) is an absolute MUST!!!!! My husband and I generally have the filet mignon on a steamer plate and/or the roast chicken over a pancetta salad---both excellent and to make it even better this restaurant is only a 6 minute walk from our condo which makes our monthly trips to Ft. Lauderdale from New York even more enticing!!!!!"

  • "This was our first visit to Sea Watch. Our table had a panoramic view of the beach and the ocean. We dined at Sea Watch early in the evening and took advantage of the "Dinner at Dusk" low season special that offered 3-courses for $21.95. As starters we selected a green salad and the New England clam chowder - both were well- prepared. As entrees, one of us had a grouper almondine and I had a combination of grilled mahi mahi, scallops, and shrimp. Both dishes were excellent. A delicious Key lime pie was dessert. Service was efficient. We look forward to returning to Sea Watch."
