  • "We went for Sunday brunch. Our server was great. She was attentive without being annoying. The buffet was half empty and we had to wait for several dishes. Forget the omelette/carving station. There was only one guy manning both and the line was ridiculous. Once we got food it was great and we loved the different types of eggs Benedict and salmon. The jazz band was nice although at times it was loud enough that it was hard to have a conversation. We love Scott's and will come back but they really need to work on keeping the buffet stocked and enlarge the omelette station."

  • "We were at Scott's this past Sunday to celebrate my 50th birthday. Scott's Seafood has been our "go to" place for special occasions. Our most recent experience was disappointing and we don't plan to return to Scott's. The Sunday brunch has become smaller and the quality of food has deteriorated. It definitely appeared that the restaurant was in cost-saving mode. If you're willing to spend that much money for brunch, there was much better options."

  • "My husband took me to Scott's to celebrate a recent promotion at work. We were really looking forward to our meal. We were greeted by our waiter, who seemed confused by the bottle of champagne that we brought (misidentified as regular wine). It took him three trips to bring a bottle opener, he didnt bring an ice bucket we requested (brought a stone bottle holder - did not keep it cold), and glasses. The Seafood Saute was good, but husband's swordfish was just okay, and the presentation was underwhelming. Our waiter didn't deliver our entrees, and didn't check on us until we were more than halfway done. We were so frustrated by lack of service that we didnt order dessert."

  • "We went to Scott's because it was a special occasion (anniversary) this last Saturday. It was crowded and extremely noisy. In order to hear what my husband was saying, I had to lean way over the table and cup my ear! They also had a 3-piece combo playing which added to the noise. I don't think I will be coming back anytime soon. Although the service was good, the waiter seemed very hurried. But they did present me with a rose for out anniversary and took our picture which they gave us as we left."

  • "Always wanted to try out Scott's Seafood Restaurant and had to chance to book an impromptu reservation for that evening. As soon as I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and we were seated immediately at one of best tables. The waitstaff was welcoming and the good was delicious! My date and I both ordered salads, oysters as our appetizers and selected the Seafood Sauté entree; which was a combo plate of crab, scallops, shrimp, rice pilaf and steamed vegetables. Although the pricing is pretty high, the jazz band playing throughout the night, the delicious offerings and the location made it a hit."

  • "Great ambiance! Really good food. However the only "downside" was the maître d did something odd. It wasn't really that chilly outside and I picked a table. The maître d said there were "no heating lamps outside". Magically, one appeared for the group two tables down. He propped it right over their table. Hmmm. NOT COOL!"

  • "I have never left a review for anything but this restaurant I have to leave one for. Amazing food and service. Will definitely be back again. Yes the food is pricey but it is worth every penny. And they will go out of there way to try and mix up a drink for u even though its not on their list. And it was delicious. Thank you for amazing food."

  • "The pros: great atmosphere, lovely interior and outdoor seating with beautiful landscaping and a waterfall. Very comfortable booth. Hostess was pleasant and efficient. Good variety of menu items. Good selection of wines by bottle and glass. The cons: Overpriced for the quality of the food. As we planned on a week night to have dinner before the theatre, the restaurant wasn't busy. We wondered about the waiting time between taking our order, the wine and then between courses. The server had my husband keep his salad knife instead of offering him a fresh one, which was needed. Our food was cold. We were not checked on by the server or staff during the meal. We refused dessert and were given the bill before we could order coffee/tea."

  • "Dining in the garden section is recommended for groups of 4 or less. Also, very noisy if you are seated close to piano and bar area."

  • "We did not have a good evening here. We had a reservation and arrived in two groups and were sat at different tables. Our meals never synced up. I was seated without a menu. We waited forever to order, had to flag the waiter down. Then he never took a drink order and had to flag down again. Food took forever to come out. Diner and dessert, no apps took over two hours. Food was ok but overpriced. For the prices they charge the service needs to be on point and it was so far from it made for a disappointing birthday dinner."

  • "Not one of those standard all you can eat champagne brunches, you glass never goes below half full, the food is always fresh and hot with an amazing selection of food! The wait staff is top notch, and the hosts are happy and friendly, highly reccomended this brunch over any other. This will become a once a month for my wife and I."

  • "We've been to this Scott's location on several occasions. The food is consistent and quite excellent. We ordered the calamari, Citrus Salmon and Halibut. Everything was prepared well, tasted delightful and not overly dressed. The level of service is wonderful and it doesn't feel like a snobby place even when you are not dressed up (because we weren't!). We were waited on promptly and the food came at appropriate times. Their wine list and full bar had a nice selection too! We will return, again!"

  • "Had some dear friends come in from San Diego. Fellow fish lovers. Too busy to go far on a Friday night. We had a pleasant, comfortable booth close within sight of the grill. I was tempted to observe the various plates to help decide the one for me. The menu had the choice I wanted, crab crusted swordfish. I ordered how I wanted my plate. The others made their choices as well. The seafood salad was top tier, and the main course was delivered as per our instructions. They were on their game in the kitchen that night. The veggies were perfect, and the fish was tasty. A little wine and good company made this a great meal. nice background music added another positive layer. I needed a great meal and Scott's delivered."

  • "The best thing we had was the cold bread and butter. I was given the wrong soup which I didn't eat and the wait time between our soup and our entre was more than 30 minutes. When we got our entre it was yet another cold disappointment. The server never came back by offering additional drinks ot an explanation during the extended wait. Very disappointing for our special occasion!we won't be going back!"

  • "I celebrated my birthday and my friend's birthday at Scott's. It was the right choice, and the atmosphere (along with the jazz trio playing) was perfect. Our waitperson, Olivia, was beautiful, polite and wonderful and she tended to our every need. The appetizer was absolutely delicious (clam chowder) and our entrée(s) cooked to perfection. The wine suggestions were spot on, and the entire waitstaff was really on that night (Friday, March 28, 2014) I have been to Scott's both in Walnut Creek and at Jack London Square many times over the years, and this was one of the best dining experiences at either location. Kudos!"

  • "The food and drinks were good, but the service was pretty poor and the piano player seemed to be beating on the instrument. Waiter brought one meal while the others of us were still half way thru our salads. Apparently our meals were also already made at the same time and just sitting out. That is pretty bad. Don't they fire our meals for when we are ready? The food itself (pear salad, tuna, let tale and halibut) was prepared well and tasted good. Petrale Sole portion size was twice the other two fish entrees. Then once it got busy, our waiter was no where to be found. We couldn't even wait for the piano players break, we had to get out of there. With this crowd, the music should be softly in the background."

  • "Both Susan and I dined at Scott's in Walnut Creek Saturday March 15th @ 7:30pm. We were seated right away. Service was prompt and very good. The menu and the way it was explained was on par. The Wine selection is very good with something for everyone. Susan ordered steak and lobster, I ordered the halibut. Susan and I dine at Scott's about three-times a year. I've noticed serving portions at different locations vary in size. Scott's seems to toe the mark however and maintains a consistency that other restaurants should take notice of. The food quality is excellent, prep and presentation are top notch. Now you know why I go to Scott's."

  • "I've had Sunday Brunch at Scott's a few times previously and was looking forward to major over-indulgence for my birthday celebration with friends. We weren't disappointed. The main brunch items aren't innovative, but offer a good diversity of satisfying dishes. We especially like the Bourbon Salmon. On past visits I've thought the desserts were below par on selection and taste, however this time I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the many miniature desserts as much as the main courses. Our waiter was attentive, kept the mimosa's topped-off, and we never felt rushed. The buffet staff did an adequate job of re-stocking the buffet items."

  • "Took some business contacts to enjoy the great food and service and we were disappointed. This was a Wednesday and the place was not full but the service was slow and when the food arrived they had to ask who had ordered which meal. The food was sub-standard with tough halibut cheeks, rubbery lobster and other not-so-good items. Too much salt in the sea food soup and there was no waiter on the come back to check routine. I think Scotts need to do some work on earning back their business. We will not be back for some time."

  • "Scott's has been favorite for years, but no more. On a busy Saturday night our waiter treated us like an afterthought and barely paused to take our orders. My spinach salad had too much dressing on it, and by the time I could get the waiter's attention about it, I didn't want it any more. I called the waiter out on his rude behavior, and at first he gave alot of excuses and was defensive. But, to his credit, he came back and apologized and offered us free desserts and coffee. I appreciated that. However the evening was pretty much over by the time we got the apology. Maybe Scott's was short staffed that night or they overbooked--but it was clear they could not handle the number of people there."

I am sorry to give you a negative report. I feel it is important that owners should know. I appreciated when my customers told me when they had bad service. I always made sure that on their next visit that they were thourghly happy Jack Sankary P.S. Our waitress was very nice."

  • ". We go there annually for Birthdays and this is my daughter's favorite place to eat. The service is always outstanding. To help celebrate her birthday the hostess took her photo put it in a special card and gave her a red rose. Our waitperson was very good. One person in out party had to leave early and he saw that she was served first. We loved every minute of our experience and will be back again next year. And celebrate my husband's birthday next month."

I was so increadible happy with the Dover Sole that i actually thought about going back the next night! Everything was amazing and I cant wait to return!"

  • "We were sorely disappointed when taking guests out on a Sunday evening when we were barely waited upon and had poorly prepared dishes. Our waitress was so bad that I had to motion to her for ANY attention whatsoever. Seafood sautee: too salty and too much garlic, and I like alot of both so someone messed up in the kitchen; cioppino: plenty of seafood, a little spicer than spicy would suggest, for ciopinno; fish and chips served with green beans and carrots? And the pieces were small and the breading overcooked and certainly not very light. Vegies poorly selected. Pilaf: ordinary. Portions just about right. For $32 an entree, go somewhere else. We spent over $200 on a very poor experience & due to bad waiter ordered only entrees."
