Diner Reviews
  • "Scott's is our go to for special meals and holidays. For the first time ever it didn't meet our expectations. Service fantastic as always but meals were sub par. 3 of the 4 adults didn't like or finish (prime rib, seafood breakfast bundle, and eggs benedict). Huh? Will try again but very surprised."

  • "My daughter and I went to Scott's for Easter Dinner. I had eaten there a few times before though not on special occasions. The food was great, service good and it was an all around pleasant experience. "

  • "Being that is was Easter Sunday, they were obviously overbooked and understaffed. Service was slow and inconsistent. Other tables seated after us were served ahead of us. We had to wait 10 minutes even though we were on time for our reservation. My entree (salmon) arrived only luke warm even though it was cooked through indicating it had sat out for a while. The overall quality of the food was good but I won't ever come back on a holiday. They can't handle the volume."

  • "Food great dining great. I have always enjoyed coming here over the years and it is still a great place to come. I especially love what they have done to the outside dining. Love the decor."

  • "We have been going to Scotts for a few years. We can count on our food being consistently good. Can't say that for many restaurants. "

  • "Great place to meet friends to catch up. All four of us really enjoyed our food...meatloaf for two of us and crusted scallops for two of us. "

  • "Food is always wonderful. Service is generally excellent. Scott's has been our go-to place for several years - most usually for special occasions. BUT, you really need to do something about the noise level. It definitely is not the place to go if you want to be able to talk over dinner. There are many noise abatements available for your incorporation and we suggest you use them. (Architexture comes to mind,.)"

  • "We went to Scott's for a BD dinner and enjoyed it very much. It's a bit noisy, but the wait staff treated us well and the food was good. My wife's salad was "the best" she's had. My meatloaf dinner was tasty and substantial, so I ate it all. Well done."

  • "Nothing special. Food, service, parking all ok. Had eaten at lunch in the past and was fine."

  • "We love Scott's Bar and Grill! It is our go-to spot and no matter what we order we love it. Truly the BEST French onion soup in the entire Seattle area - bar none!"

  • "A change of items on menu would be good! Ordered for 2nd time: crab/artichoke san - 2 lg pcs 1 1/2" focaccia bread smeared with light coating of spread, not worth price. Better off ordering crab/artichoke dip w/bread. Caesar Salad very heavy w/dressing. Blackened Salmon ok. Prev visit ordered (for 2nd time) Prime Rib Dip. Now they don't slosh au jus all over the plate, and although it's tasty enough, it's the sautéed onions and cheese that still make it too moist, almost so that it's can't be easily picked up. Next time, I'll order the roll toasted, and simply the sliced beef, nothing else on it, x-ept maybe horseradish. Another restaurant uses crispy fried onions; perfect for a little texture without excess moisture."

  • "Great location but very limited menu and for some reason higher priced than usual for the area."

  • "This was to be a special birthday dinner. Nothing about this place was special. The table was not ready when we arrived (group of 9 people), service was extremely slow and he consistently messed up the order and then even the billing. The drinks and appetisers were the only good things about the event."

  • "We have been here numerous times, both for lunch and dinner, and always have delicious meals and good service. It can get noisy at times and we recommend the outside patio (when open) for a quieter place to carry on a conversation with friends. Nice to have such a good restaurant close to home to avoid driving into Seattle, dealing with parking, etc."

  • "We made reservations for 4 at 6:30 we add another person upon arrival told we would be about 30 minutes no problem, we wait 45 minutes and table we were seated at was empty for 20 minutes order some martinis and wait 15 minutes for our drinks reason: all the glasses were dirty.. receive dinners they are ok,, brisket was bland, french dips looked like they were pressed. One of our party ordered an additional glass of wine she finished her dinner and told waiter to cancel the glass, waiter said he was ready to bring it to her.. (why did he not bring it in the first place) We had a $20 credit and at billing time we were told we had to pay with our earned points, in order to use the $20 I guess we need to read the fine print.. Disappointed"

  • "Always reliable, always good. The Sunday brunch Bloody Marys are spectacular as are the eggs benedict. Get there early for Sunday brunch but if you have to wait, it's worth it! All of the wait staff are accommodating and the menu offers a delicious variety of choices."

  • "I had Saturday lunch/brunch and found some unusual menu items. Ordered one of the Bundles - scrambled eggs with shrimp/ crab/mushrooms topped with lobster sauce served in a crispy shell --really outstanding!! The service was attentive. One drawback --it was terribly noisy."

  • "My Wife and I rarely get an opportunity to have time to ourselves with busy lives and children. However on this evening we were given an opportunity to go out, and we immediately thought of Scotts. The food and service is always outstanding. Our server was fantastic, and although the restaurant was busy (as usual) and our sitter was late and we missed our originally scheduled reservation time, they accomodated us quickly. We ate our way around the appetizer menu, had wonderful adult beverages and shared a dessert. It will always be our "go-to" restaurant. Thank you Scott's Bar and Grill for giving us a wonderful meal and time together."

  • "Scott's has been in business for well ver 30 years. That says a lot about a restaurant. The food is dependable and delicious. Live the chopped salad, especially the dressing! My husband loves the steak salad which includes ample amount of sliced steak done to perfection."

  • "We eat here a lot. There was a promotion going on and even with a reservation we waited over half an hour. It was extremely noisy, crowded in the waiting area. The food was good as usual but the promotion made everything too crazy."

  • "We had a very nice dinner at Scott's. Food is consistently very well prepared, with good service. Entrees ordered at our table included prime rib, fresh grilled salmon, and chicken Dijon. All were excellent!!"

  • "Very very busy, weren't seated till 20 minutes after reservation.Great food as usual, excellent wait people. Was quite noisy and cold enough to put our coats back on."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed a very nice evening at Scott's, but I'm really glad we thought to make reservations ahead of time. When we first arrived to check in the receptionist told us it would be at least an hour wait until we explained that we had a reservation. Within minutes we were seated and getting ready to enjoy our meal. I thought the service was exceptional, the food excellent (I had the roasted pork tenderloin, my wife the maple salad) and we both enjoyed our meal. As we live in Redmond we don't get to Scott's as much as we would like, but whenever we make the journey to Edmund's its definitely one of our favorite dining experiences."

  • "Almond Crusted Scallops were cooked to perfection, BBQ Rack of Baby Back Ribs was wonderful, very tender/tasty. Ribs and Meatloaf combo was very good. I'd like to see a menu change once in a while, as we dine there frequently, the menu seems somewhat stale. Only disappointment; asked waitress what the house Gin was, said Gordon's. i thought ok - low end but since Dad was buying, I said alright, I'll have a Martini up. The check showed Beef Eaters @ $9.50. The help should check if they don't know, or at the least, don't say something that's absolutely wrong. At any rate, the Martini was, of course, very good."

  • "Scott's is consistently great food, very nice menu choices and decently priced. It is our favorite restaurant near Lake Forest Park, don't be put off by the location. No view but friendly, comfortable atmosphere. We have been coming here for 10 years. Saturday night is super busy so it was great to use the open table reservation system. Try the meatloaf or maple chicken salad but have never had a bad experience here."

  • "I've been to Scott's many times in the past. Came this time because of the rewards program. Great bottom line price but the food just wasn't what I remembered. Cajun chicken fettucine was all spice and nothing else. Salmon Oscar was a little overdone and the top sirloin non descript. Service was fine and it's a pretty place."

  • "Scott's is always dependable for good food, good atmosphere. We also like the convenient location - we came from NE Seattle to meet friends from Kirkland and it's an easy trip for all of us."

  • "This is a great place for special occasions. My boyfriend and I love the food. It can sometimes get a little noisy but it's just a sign that everyone is enjoying themselves. We'll definitely return to try other dishes."

  • "We have dined at Scotts for many years. Our Birthday Group has enjoyed several lunch time experiences; we celebrated our 58th wedding anniversary there in February; our grandson's bought us dinner last Friday. I made the reservation earlier in the day and was given the time I asked for. Due to the popularity of Scotts, we did wait about 10 minutes which I consider very good. I do have the club card but didn't use it because we didn't pay for the meal. We will dine at Scotts again."

  • "For my granddaughter's 18th birthday we chose this convenient neighborhood restaurant. Finding a spot that opened at 11:00 in the morning (the only time busy family could arrange to meet), proved a challenge. Everyone ended up being quite pleased with this choice. Our server was helpful, cheerful, and quite energetic and fun.The food was outstanding, with choices from the succulent salmon to lip smacking burgers. The French Dip was touted as the "best I have ever eaten". We would definitely return, all of us were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, the server, and the experience in general. The only hitch was a worker outside who banged away at a project outside our window. The staff quickly took care of it and we dined in quiet."

  • "We go to Scott's a lot and the food is consistently good. Appetizers and wine are my favorite time there, bring back the salmon and hummus appetizer. :) Anyway on this occasion, they were out of the ribs by 730p and the tomato bisque had been substituted with a vegetable bisque soup, it was okay. The service was great and the rest of the food was good, love the simply grilled, healthy options."

  • "The entry was jammed when we arrived, but our reservation time was honored, we were so pleased. All levels of service were great, friendly and made the evening special, even though the restaurant was very busy. I also noticed a super nice esprit de corps with staff, they really cooperate, smile at each other in passing, had each other's back. The food didn't disappoint, waiter voluntarily divided the splt salad. Thanks for a lovely evening on a dark rainy night. Marji Stiffler"

  • "We come here once a month with our three kids. Food is wonderful. Service normally is great, but our waitress this time was very slow. But they have such a great team their, their mangers realized we were waiting for certain things and came and helped us out and dropped off food. They are great. Good place for kids."

  • "Ordered Crab/Artichoke Hot open faced Sandwich, flavor was good, but bread was soggy and tough to cut. French Dip Sandwich: Could have at least toasted the roll, beef was good, med. rare, not much flavor to the au jus. I absolutely hate it when the cup of sauce on the same plate is allowed to slosh all over the roll, making it soggy and impossible to pick up. A real disappointment, do not recommend."
