  • "3rd visit to Santa Fe during HHI vacation. Food is consistently delicious. We had the Spicy Shrimp cocktail appetizer, Santa Fe combination plate and the Scallops entree. Never a disappointment. Already looking forward to my next visit. Unfortunately we could not enjoy the rooftop bar and fire due to rain showers for our post dinner beverage, this time. See you next year. "

  • "We eat at Santa Fe every time we go to Hilton Head. It is alive and always busy. Service is great. We had the swordfish special and it was fantastic. If you like Ceviche, it is the best."

  • "The restaurant has not changed in 25 years...food, staff, ambience. I have lived in palmetto Dunes for 25 years and have been coming to Santa Fe since they opened their doors! Ownership may have changed but it is amazing how everything else is still superb!! I have eaten lunch, just drinks with appetizers, and of course many dinners. It is great to know you can always expect consistency ! I have entertained, clients, family and many friends in your restaurant."

  • "Took two new friends to SantaFe and everything could not have been better. The food was excellent-- ceviche, pork tenderloin and chimichanga. I have dined there many times before and the food quality is very reliable-- which is often a rare thing for Hilton Head restaurants!"

  • "Always delicious. We've been coming there every summer for about 15 years."

  • "The service and dinner were amazing. Our waitress was knowledgeable and was not afraid to recommend certain items. It was obvious she has tasted the menu. The food was great and pace of the evening was relaxed. Would highly recommend."

  • "Returned to Santa Fe for our second visit. Four of us enjoyed the evening....good drinks and food. One couple liked all the dishes (excellent guacamole, SW soup, chimichanga). We like the first two items, but were less than thrilled with the combination plate. (The tamale was attractive, but tasteless and without meat. ???) But, they have many items on the menu; so will try something else the next time. The noise level was also annoying.....but many busy restaurants have this problem."

  • "I brought my husband here for his 40th birthday. This is our 3rd time at the restaurant. It's always amazing! The service is fantastic! The food is always excellent and the wine list is top notch. We look forward to future HHI trips and dinners at Sante Fe Cafe!"

  • "Beautiful weather, outdoor seating, live music, fresh margarita, chips & salsa, painted desert soup & GROUPER = amazing dining experience!!!"

  • "This is the best southwestern food we have ever tasted. The margaritas were perfect and the chimichanga (called "Outrageous") was most delicious! Gracious and efficient service. If we had this restaurant back home we would eat here every week!"

  • "We never miss having dinner here when staying in Hilton Head. The food is really good, not in a fine cuisine, frilly sort of way, but still fine restaurant quality. They serve a "Cowboy Cut" steak that's stupendous and enough for three meals. You'll also be surprised by the fine wine list. Someone knows their wines. If the weather allows, request a table outdoors on the roofs. Not that the inside isn't good also and unusually comfortable."

  • "We dined with another couple and everyone just loved their food. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. The presentation of each dish was outstanding. This is just a great restaurant and the food is wonderful."

  • "I ordered the fish tacos they were over cooked. My daughter had a salad and the chicken was underdone. The fun dido was the best part of the meal."

  • "We have come to HHI for a few years and we make sure to have dinner at Santa Fe. The food is wonderful and the service is terrific. It's a gem when you are looking for something other than the standard low country food. Don't get me wrong, love low country, but the name of the restaurant says it all and it's all delicious."

  • "Presentation was nice, food was great! Sangria was good, sold by the glass. Would be nice if they sold by the pitcher. Food was fresh and hot. Would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting the island."

  • "My husband & I go to SantaFe at least twice a month and are never disappointed. One of our favorite things to do is to sit at the bar over the grill and watch the food prep....fascinating process and entertaining too"

  • "This is a very god Southwestern restaurant, as good as any I have visited. However this restaurant is much lower in price than the top notch other Southwestern restaurants. So good and moderate in price we returned twice in one week."

  • "We've eaten at Santa Fe at least 10 times, and each time we love it. The roof top is our favorite spot and we always bring our guests who rave about it as well!"

  • "My husband and I went to Hilton Head from Savannah specifically to eat at Santa Fe Café, we wanted to try a more upscale Mexican restaurant. We booked a reservation and were seated as soon as we got there even though I think we would have been seated without the reservation because there were a few empty tables. We were seated upstairs which had a very nice, romantic vibe. Our waitress was very nice and told us about nightly specials. I had a margarita;not the best margarita I've ever had but it was okay. The food was delicious! I had the shrimp fajita,my husband had the steak fajita. It is not what we were used to as far as ordering fajitas,it did not come out on a sizzling plate but the food was great! Can't wait for another date night!"

  • "Nice southwestern ambiance and menu at this restaurant with friendly service. Popular place though nestled within an area of other popular restaurants so parking is challenging at times. Book early."

  • "We got there and were immediately seated, even after being 15 mins late. The ambience was very cozy and warm. Eccentric Mexican decor with a very roustic yet contemporary feel. They have an upstairs eating area and rooftop. Here they usually have live music with complimenting lights decorating all the trees, along with the stars up above. Very nice. Never any delays. Menus, appetizers came right out and they kept the chips for the queso flowing without even asking, and right before we thought about the food coming, there it was. Amazing presentation and not to mention the flavor. Theres a lot of great anf unique dining in HH so for me to say this is TOP 3 says a lot about Sante Fe. This is all to say the least. A must go."

  • "Santa Fe was a surprise in that it is essentially a higher end Mexican/southwestern restaurant, quite different than all of the Mexican restaurants I have been to. Its food preparation and presentation is quite good and as a result it was truly a unique experience. The salads were superb and the entrees were prepared with a flair unique in this category of restaurant. The establishment was attractive and the atmosphere vibrant. I would recommend this eatery to anyone looking for a more upscale Mexican/southwestern dining experience."

  • "Have always chosen the grouper, which is excellent. Decided to try the rib-eye burrito. The best! Think of it as a subtly seasoned southwestern beef Wellington. This place is not an over cilantroed Tex-Mex ick factory. There's some imagination behind the menu. Rooftop dining during warm weather."
