  • "My wife and I hadn't been to Salty's at Alki in quite awhile. We went to celebrate our 31st anniversary. The day was perfect and so was the view. We first ordered a couple of draft beers and both agreed that they were not very cold. The menu was lacking for several reasons. The first was lack of a good choice of different appetizers. There was a trio of items offered but not all of them preferred by my wife and myself. The seafood choices were lacking for variety. Our meals were OK and we both expected much more from Salty's. Maybe they changed management since we went last time but it sure seems its going in the wrong direction."

  • "Christy our server was outstanding. Her recommendations were right on it! We are from NC exceptional views of the city and great service made the cost worth every penny."

  • "We've eaten at Salty's many times for dinner and for their reputable brunch; however, with the revolving dinner menu, it can really be hit or miss. This last time was disappointing and we will not likely return. The food was mediocre at best this time and for the prices, I expect more."

  • "The food is good, the view is great, and Daniel has been an outstanding server to us over the years!!"

  • "Shigoku Oysters!!! We made our trip over just for these oysters. They were the most perfect and delicious dozen oysters we have ever eaten. Everything else was okay. But the oysters and the view got this place the four stars. Almost 5!"

  • "The occasion? My 71st birthday and what a wonderful way to celebrate the occasion. Excellent service, food, balloons and a piece of delicious cake. All and all a perfect lunch! Cheerful staff too! What else could you ask for?"

  • "This was the most extravagant, healthy, tasty brunch I have ever had. Hats off to Salty's on Alki for the memory."

  • "We had a fabulous dining experience at Salty's on the 4th of July. We had family in town, and we didn't want to fight the traffic. Salty's had exquisite food, a great wait staff, and we could even watch some of the fireworks. I know we'll be back. Salty's is a wonderful place to go for special occasions, date nights, etc."

  • "Picked up out of town family members from pier 91 and headed here for the magnificent brunch and views. Be sure to check their website for the layout of their brunch - they have everything you could imagine and more! There was a pianist at the grand piano & didn't seem to be a bad seat for viewing Lake Union. Efficient and friendly staff. Price is well worth it ~ cousin who is very selective in what she will eat left well satiated. Cannot say too many good things about Salty's at Alki."

  • "The quality has gone down drastically price to value not worth it. Pretty unfortunate. I have gone yearly to honor my birthday I am certain I am not returning for brunch again"

  • "We hadn't been to Saltys brunch in quite awhile and probably won't be back for a long time. There were way too many people. It made getting food a chore. It was obvious a lot of the other guests had not been there before and were just in the way...food was ok but for the price it just did not impress me. Makes me sad that brunch has gone downhill"

  • "If you love seafood, you'll get your $40 worth for brunch. AMAZING amounts of food at this place for the brunch buffet. We had dungeoness crab legs as well as alaskan king crab, the mussels and clams were great, and the fresh shucked oysters were outstanding. These are in addition to the normal (ok, way more than normal) brunch buffet selection you would expect. Crazy great dessert bar too. Sit outside if you don't want to be run over by kids. ;)"

  • "Whereas the view of the Harbor and the Seattle skyline is phenomenal, the menu is extremely expensive and the quality of the food is most disappointing. The service can be lacking depending on the individual that you deal. It is hit and miss."

  • "Nice view but you gotta pay the price to enjoy it. Happy hour is the time to go, make sure to try the oysters and other drink specials"

  • "You can't go wrong if you order the fresh local seafood. Fortunately, the kitchen knows this, and no longer offers every dish in "The Joy of Cooking", 1958 edition. So many tables afford the spectacular water/city view that you are well seated most of the time. All this and balloons, too."

  • "I've been to Salty's 5 plus times and recommend it to all my SF friends who travel to Seattle. What a disappointment this last time! We waited quite a bit before our drinks arrived, then the appetizers came and before we were finished, here comes dinner. Upon ordering we specifically asked that we have a break between courses. Then the manager comes and is apologizing to us and says they will re fire our dinner, not re plate. My halibut special came overcooked and dry and certainly not $48 worth, my sons salmon was well done and the scallops were raw on the pasta dish, the sides we ordered were never seen. We all passed on cappachinos and dessert"

  • "Had a really special time. A few 90+ ladies who went to grade and high school together. Try to lunch the first Weds of the month. No one had been to the restaurant in over 20 years! What a treat! From the girls who greeted us to our server, they made things even better! Even the fire boat put on a show. The food was good except for the fish; slightly underdone. And it bothered us so much we cleaned our plates. We will see you folks again. Thanks again"

  • "On the one hand, Salty's is on the "higher end" in reputation; on the other hand, it is an unpretentious and comfortable atmosphere with good food (especially for Sunday brunch). Another interesting thing I noticed is the "privacy" in a packed house -- so, even though every table is filled, we could still have a quiet conversation across the table and hear each other with no effort. Maybe this is mostly because we were at a window table, but it was nevertheless notable."

  • "it is commonly observed that restaurants with scenic views rarely offer food commensurate with the views. Saltys is such a restaurant."

  • "I love seafood, so saltys always comes to mind fir special occasions, because it is kind of pricey. My seafood brochette was incredible, but I have to admit I was reticent to order it because it came with cheesy grits. Grits are not my favorite food. They are now. I took a leap of faith, figuring the chef knew what he was doing to pare these together....glad I did! Incredible."

  • "We went on an absolutely beautiful day so the view was breathtaking. We celebrated my mom's 84th birthday. It was the perfect place."
    Dined on 6/30/2014
  • "The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinarily. The service was slow when we got any at all. We were almost done eating when our drink order arrived; we weren't even offered coffee until we were about ready to leave. For $130 for two, and being a buffet we served ourselves, I was completely underwhelmed. Like I said, the food was good, but it had a lot to live up to and make up for–it failed to do either. Definitely not the treat it was hyped up to be."

  • "This is a wonderful place and I fully recommend it to everyone in love with brunches. It has the best possible view on Seattle and if you go there with friends you can also chill at Alki Beach afterwards. Definitely a gogo!! ^.^"

  • "Salty's on Alki Beach has everything we want for a nice brunch or dinner out. > The view of Seattle is wonderful during the day and spectacular at night. > The staff are professional and provide great service. > The restaurant atmosphere is friendly and not stuffy. You never feel rushed. > The menu and wine list have plenty of options without being overwhelming."

  • "We enjoyed out anniversary dinner at Saltys. The view was amazing."

  • "Pretty much every seat looks out across the water to downtown Seattle. The fish is super fresh, prices reasonable given the quality. We were VERY satisfied with all aspects of the evening- the salads, the drinks, the meals themselves. This is one of the very best dinner spots in the Seattle area."

  • "After coming for lunch one day and thinking it was decent, I figured dinner would be even better. It was just okay and a bit pricey for what we ordered. I left feeling a bit underwhelmed. I guess I remember the view which is great, than the food."

  • "Simply put, this place is great for brunch. Everything from crabs, oysters, and prime rib to eggs benedict, fresh pasta, and every kind of dessert you can imagine. Tie all that up with the best possible view of downtown Seattle and you saltys. While its a little pricy, you can make up for that by bringing your appetite."

  • "We went to Salty's to celebrate our anniversary. We have been there before and greatly enjoyed. This time was a disappointment. Our reservation was for 7:15. On arrival we were told they were "about 10 minutes behind schedule". It was about 35 minutes later that we were shown to our table. Very nice location at the window, however, was open to the bar that had an entertainer that was quite loud. We sat at the table for 20 minutes before we were acknowledged by the waiter. It was another 10 minutes for beverages to arrive. Then another 35 minutes after ordering for our food to arrive. The food was very good. We were in the restaurant for 1hr 45 minutes before our food was delivered to the table. Return soon?? Not likely."

  • "This was our 2nd visit and it was our Anniversary. We had an exceptional meal just like the first time. The waiter in the bar was a bit distracted but the bartender corrected my order and they corrected it on the ticket. The waiter for our table was very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. I had the crab stuffed trout and my husband had the hand torn pasta with scallops. Everything was cooked correctly and flavorful. The servings are plentiful. Would love to get a window seat on some future visit. I wrote this on the comment card at the restaurant and the manager emailed me to say she reads all of the comment cards and to call her next time we are making a reservation. I am impressed with the personal service at Saltys."

  • "Seemed like we had to remind our waiter several times for simple requests such as drinks and bread. Each request taking a long time. The food and view was excellent but the service was below the level expected at such a price point."

  • "I really enjoy Salty's and have visited it each of the last five years. The food is wonderful and the presentation as well as the ambiance is great. The only thing that I didn't care for was the coffee. It used to be great and this year it was so-so. For us, coffee is a key ingredient. We actually went to buy some after brunch."
