And a beautiful view5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat patio, great serversSpent a rare sunny afternoon in Seattle on the deck at Salty's. views, amazing. Food really good; I had the seafood chowder and Dungeness crab melt (awesome comfort food with an upscale twist); dh had six local oysters and the crab Mac and cheese. Blake, our server, gave great descriptions of the oysters, and suggested a perfect fume blanc to accompany tem; I had a wonderful Pinot noir rose, dry and flavorful- great pairings! Blake's knowledge of the menu and various preparations was outstanding; and Lennon who stepped in when Blake was otherwise occupied was equally knowledgeable and funny. She also gave great recommendations on other places to go during our visit. All around a very well run and well versed staff and restaurant!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMKatie our serverTook my partner there for his birthday! Made reservations without a problem. Katie was our server for the night and she was awesome! She even took a picture of us at the end of our dinner. She took really good care of us and we will be back!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and service were outstanding.Food and service were outstanding. They always do a good job for my clients and give us a window view looking at downtown Seattle.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful view, lovely fishThough our meal was a little on the heavy side, the fish was fresh and good, a lovely ambience and an unparalled view of Puget Sound and Downtown Seattle5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMSalty's at Alki BeachExcellent view of Seattle skyline when weather is clear.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch BountySo much to choose from! It's an exercise in restraint. Everything from scratch as well as fresh fresh fresh5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSalty's is anything but salty ...We had a wonderful time, and you will too. Everything was absolutely perfect. Receptionist, wait staff, and the valets all professional and wonderful people. Food was divine, save room for the white chocolate mousse cake - so light and delish. We were there for my husband's birthday celebration. The only negative experience was with a diner going into the parking lot (clearly he drove PAST the barrier - and caused a slight backup - since the valet had to run past all the other cars to attend to them. I would have preferred to have the valet direct the driver to the correct lane - and not allowed them to go ahead of the many families that came in the correct lane).5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMjust o.k.Very small portion of the King salmon for the price. Excellent waiter.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place - consistentlyGreat place - consistently excellent food and service. the cream brulee, was not very good. Other then that very one at the table enjoyed their dinners, drinks ect.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't guess, just GO!This was our first time at Salty's, we live in the Seattle area, but our guests were from out of town, so it was fun to do something new with them. The food was above expectation. The waiter was a little rude, maybe he was just having a bad morning though. The view was EXCEPTIONAL, and although pricey, worth every penny. If you are doubting going to Salty's, don't guess, just go, it's a great experience.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMNormaMy husband and I went there for our 12 yr anniversary and we loved it. It was our first time there and it wont be our last. We live in Mill Creek and it was definatly worth the drive. We were very surprised by getting a comlimentary desert. The best part besides the delicious food was out view!! Gracias for making it a memerable annivarsary :)4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMI came up from Arizona andI came up from Arizona and it was on my "to do list" Its now on my "everytime I come to Seattle" list.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSalty's experience it !!What a fabulous experience ! Four of us went for the Saturday Brunch and loved it from beginning to end ! From the valet to the hostess the waiter and all the attendants at every buffet station--everyone had a friendly word ! The view of the water with the Seattle skyline behind it was perfect even with the typical Seattle weather--the food selection was tremendous and everything we tried was delicious ! There was a small buffet set up near the door for all of us who were waiting and that included coffee--tea--hot chocolate--Fischer scones--and small tasty pastries--to our surprise we were seated almost immediately --and a really great time was had by all !!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAlki Beach hideawayWonderful food and our waitress was the best their is! She was a gem!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFrom making the reservationFrom making the reservation to paying the bill, it couldn't have been a better experience. We were pleasantly surprised to find out Salty's offers complimentary valet service. On a rainy evening, that was a big plus! We were greeted by a friendly hostess who promptly seated us at our requested window seat with the most spectacular view of the city (in my opinion, it was the best seat in the house). Our server, Mary, was friendly, courteous, and very knowledgable of the menu and specials for the evening.Meals we chose included fish and chips, which my daughter enjoyed thoroughly, the Northwest Paella, which had a wonderful aroma, looked wonderful, and tasted wonderful, the Lobster stuffed Petrale Sole, which was my favorite!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic as always!Fantastic as always! Stunning view of downtown Seattle from across the Sound. Exceptional seafood and desserts!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAlthough we've been to Salty'sAlthough we've been to Salty's at Redondo many times in the past, this was our first time to Alki. The view was breathtaking. I enjoyed all the seafood dishes we tired but would probably not get the steak again. I like my steak a little more tender.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for Restaurant Week.We went for Restaurant Week. The food was delicious. The beverage prices seem a bit expensive, a beer, a cosmo and two cups of coffee were $28. It would be nice if they could be a bit more reasonable.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best view of Seattle isThe best view of Seattle is from Salty's dining room. The service was outstanding, as was the food and atmosphere. We never felt rushed as we sat and enjoyed the view and conversation long after finishing our meal.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMI go to Salty's relativelyI go to Salty's relatively often, and every time I do I am more impressed than the last time. The server even handed us binoculars to watch the sea lions playing in the sound right outside our window. Everything a man could want to eat was in their buffet spread. Friendly staff too. Only drawbacks were the noise level and the wait for a table.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMBrilliant fare as part ofBrilliant fare as part of Seattle Restaurant Week - the spaghetti entree was to die for. Delicious appetizers, melt-in-mouth deserts, great wine list and fantastic view make this an ideal romantic dinner locale.. Loved it!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMI was using a knee schooterI was using a knee schooter so I couldn't do stairs. The Manager and staff found a table next to the water for us. There were relatives from CA with us and we all had a Great time. The food was wonderful and so was the service.
Willard and I had not been to Salty's at Alki for a few years, but it met our expectations and more.

That's all you really know about this place.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service in the bar -Great service in the bar - had reservations for the main area but a friend wanted something off the bar menu so we found just as good a seat with a view in the bar and got both the restaurant week menu and the bar. Our server, Brie, was the perfect amount of charming, helpful and professional. She went out of our way for us, was friendly and and checked back regularly but also let us alone to enjoy our meals. A friend knew the sommalier so we were thrilled to have her help us arrange to have him come by and visit us so my friend and the sommalier got a little bit of a catch up. A lovely evening and will definitely be back.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMChris was the manager andChris was the manager and he took such great car of our table. Kris Melroe4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great birthday dinner. We had a great birthday dinner. The food was excellent, the staff helpful and accomodating for our 2.5 yr old. We all had a wonderful time.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to Salty's on AlkiWe went to Salty's on Alki Beach for their weekend brunch buffet, and as always they did not disappoint. There are options for everyone, from breakfast to a hot lunch bar, and delicious seafood options. The dessert bar is also always a hit! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the price is a bit much, about $50/person. However, it is always fun for a special occasion or when guests are in town, I just wish it was a little less expensive so we could enjoy more often!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMA Warm Taste of Seattle's BestThis restaurant is a must for anyone wanting to enjoy a quintessential Seattle experience. The food is great with emphasis on local seafood and 'in-house' bakery. The view is a spectacular vista of Puget Sound and downtown Seattle from the "original" Seattle, Alki Beach. The staff is lively, efficient and friendly. The decor is a little quirky artistic both inside and out. We always feel both at home and, yet, very special there. Salty's is a wonderful place for Sunday brunch or for any occasion.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMMenu is everything you couldMenu is everything you could think that you wanted. Really tasty for such a variety and vast selection. We went last 3 weekends in a row. Anytime we have an out of town guest, we head to Salty's. Being a Texan its nice not to eat Bar-B-Que for a change. Recommend everyone try it.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for food and theGreat place for food and the service it great. The view of the Seattle skyline is great. The servers want to make your experience great.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMSecond visit and all itemsSecond visit and all items for the brunch are outstanding.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe daily special - HalibutThe daily special - Halibut w/ pear salsa - was delicious! Had our waiter, Jeffrey, not known the description so well, we would not have ordered it.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe weather was good the dayThe weather was good the day we were there, the view of Seattle is spectacular. Good food, attentive service.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMEvery time we have out-of-townEvery time we have out-of-town guests, we bring them to Salty's for brunch. The view can't be beat!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, Slow serviceA bit loud. The wait was long, even though we had a reservation. We were seated 45 minutes AFTER our reservation time! The food is always good, though a tad on the expensive side for the portion size.
I like the friendly staff, and the presentaion of the food is beautiful. I would suggest that if seating runs later than expected (which is a consistent problem when I eat there) the breadbasket should arrive at the table at the same time as the menus. We were hungry, and had to wait until after we ordered, (which was another delay, as the waiter was busy) then he eventually brought the breadbasket.
Overall, I love the food enough to keep coming back, but service is consistently slow.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMI actually took another collegueI actually took another collegue to Anthony's earlier in the week, and, have to tell you - the food was better there! I generally thought Salty's was the better place and prepared more quality dishes, but I think Anthony's quality is actually better than what I had in Alki - especially that it was significantly higher priced. I have been to the Salty's at Redondo as well recently, and, their food was better than Alki too. So, not sure what's changed there, but I really was not impressed.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThank you!!!!!! We were firstThank you!!!!!! We were first picked up by James in the Limo.....Was perfect as my fiance and I were just engaged. James was very friendly and engaging. We were then seated in a corner table in front of the windows looking out over the city, amazing view. We were then served an amazing dinner then chauffered back to the hotel. Food was great but what made the evening was the special attention we were given,,,,,,,,,,THANK YOU3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome fish & chips. AmazingAwesome fish & chips. Amazing oysters. Great Bloody Marys. Great deals during happy hour. I would highly recommend.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot for special celebrationsGreat spot for special celebrations. It is a view restaraunt that lives up to expectations in all counts. I have elderly parents with mobility issues and staff bends over backwards to accomodate in every way! Great food, great drinks, great staff.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMSalty's on Alki is alwaysSalty's on Alki is always the highlight of our trips to Seattle. The incredible view of Seattle across the water is a great compliment to some of the best seafood you will find anywhere.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Steelhead was smoked andThe Steelhead was smoked and then cooked - what a horrible thing to do to Steelhead. The natural flavor of the fish was obliterated. The halibut/crab Oscar was amazing, and the scenery was perfect for celebrating my wife's birthday. The service was outstanding, and they comped us a piece of Heavenly white cake.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAs with all Salty's I've visited,As with all Salty's I've visited, the food was plentiful and very deliicious. I was, however, very dispointed in the wait, this being the reason I would not return or reccomend the restaurant. We had an 11am reservation, which we check in on time for, yet were not seated until after 11:30am. A half hour wait AFTER a reservation is completely unacceptable in my opinion. Service and experience beyond the initial wait was good.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
