Salty's on Alki BeachPhenomenal viewsThe view of Seattle is amazing. We sat outside on the lower patio where the building and a glass wall by the water blocks the wind. It was perfect. We had the brunch on a Saturday morning. The food was very good with a plethora of choices. Service was wonderful. We will definitely return to Salty's the next time we are in the Seattle area.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSuburb! The view of downtown Seattle is fantastic. Food is fit for even the most discriminating foodie. Menu is broad, but focuses on fresh seafood. Wine list and wine pairing is A+. We went as a group of 5 to celebrate a college graduation, and found Salty's a perfect special occasion location.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSalty's on AlkiExceptional views, location and service made this an outstanding experience. Food fare was good and there was a wide variety to choose from. We would definitely goafain.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday DinnerWe had a lovely evening for my daughters birthday! Mary was our server and she was outstanding! Very knowledgeable and had great tips for ordering! It was a memorable evening for all!!! Thank you6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAWESOME!!!!!Words can not express dining at Salty's, you have to experience it for yourself!!!! WOW, just AWESOME!!!!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways the perfect settingSalty's service - from the valet driver to the owner coming to our table to give our little diner (our one year old grandson) a balloon was awesome! The server was very attentive and very relaxed - casually engaged in light conversation, which we liked a lot.. the place is not too stuffy! Of course, the view is always amazing!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent experienceThe staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was excellent and the views were amazing. This will be a must visit when we return to Seattle.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGraduation CelebrationCelebrated our daughters graduation from the University of Washington.
From the moment we arrived we were taken care of. We were in the bar while waiting for our table and the staff was prompt to serve us. Our wait time for our dinner table was minimal. The view was OUTSTANDING.
Nash, our waiter, was prompt, polite and very knowledgable on everything.
It was a great evening and next time I'm in Seattle I'll will eat at Salty's6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGo for it!!AWESOME buffet!!! We're the frugal type but worth every penny!!! Great place to take out-of-towners..6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat As UsualThis was my 5th time to dine at Salty's while visiting Seattle. I took some friends from Vancouver, and their first time experience had them promising themselves to return again. The whole experience is well worth the money. Bill B.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe perfect settingOn a recent dinner, we found the service to be impeccable. The food was excellent, the view was breathtaking, and the food was world class. What more could you want on a perfect sunny day with the view of the Seattle waterfront as your view?
A great experience...6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFloridians trying the local seafoodDelicious!! The service was amazing, the atmosphere was great, the food was wonderful. Well worth the money to go and have an unbelievable dining experience at Salty's. Would definitely return !6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorable birthday dinnerMy birthday was extra memorable with the great dinner we had over at Salty's. Great food, great service and fantastic view of downtown seattle. Did I say they had a fantastic view? Yes, I just did... Fantastic view!6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGood foodWent there for Sunday brunch and it was pretty good. We had a reservation, but still had to wait 15 minutes before we were seated. Our server was helpful in drink choices and the buffet was good. I was the second time there I enjoyed it. I am not much a seafood eater, but there were many other choice besides seafood.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding BrunchBrunch at Salty's is the best. Wide variety of seafood, omelet bar, and a huge variety of desserts!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't Poo Poo the ChickenFantastic. The figs were sweet and firm. The chicken was brined and marinated perfectly. Nice job.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat too us so long?!After hearing such glowing reviews, and the "Best of Western Washington" designation, we booked a celebratory 21st birthday brunch. Our only regret is that we waited so long to dine at Salty's. From the friendly greeting when we entered, to the discovery of "Fair Scones" in the waiting area, and the expansive buffet selections ... we were blown away! One might be skeptical about quantity over quality, but at Salty's, the variety was unique and the food impeccably prepared. We are already planning our next visit and look forward to Happy Hour and Dinner as well as our next brunch experience!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat brunchand great price for the offerings, too. i mean, all you can eat with dungeness crab on the buffet? yes!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMA special eveningEvery year we look forward to celebrating the anniversary of our first date at this wonderful restaurant! The service is always superb, as well as the food! Thank you Chris and Brie for a wonderful evening!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic restaurantWe went to Salty's to celebrate a birthday last weekend. I cannot say enough about how good the service was. The food was also excellent, and the view was spectacular.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGirls night out!Salty's on Alki was the perfect spot for our Girls' Night Out. You helped to make our evening special. The view, the food, the weather, our server and the drinks were all spectacular!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMSalty's on AlkiGreat dining experience. Friendly, great service, personalized attention, made us feel very welcome. Good food also.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExpensive DiningOur dining experience was good. We had a nice table with a good view of downtown Seattle. The food and service was good. Your prices are very high especially the wine: $10.00 for a 2 or 3 oz glass of wine is expensive. I doubt we would visit your restaurant a lot, because you are just too expensive for what you get. We plan to be in Seattle again in August. If your prices were more reasonable, we probably would eat at your restaurant again.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Views of the CitySalty's is the place to visit for a great service, food and views.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ServiceManaged our work group well. Organized, food came out hot and everyone loved what they ordered. We had a large group of 12. It was perfect for everyone including our guest of honor.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing viewWe went to Salty's on Alki because our daughter requested calamari and oysters for her birthday.
What went well: Warm atmosphere with an amazing view of the Puget Sound (we watched the boats come and go, seagulls, and fish jumping); excellent waiter; excellent service; they did not have fried oysters on the menu but made some by request; the recommended wine paired perfectly with my food; calamari was cooked to perfection and the crab mac and cheese was fantastic!
What could have been better: The crab cakes were a terrible so we didn't eat them (they tasted like wet bread), the $30 halibut was edible but bland.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat brunch and kid-friendly spotWent there for a special occasion and requested a window seat for brunch. We sat and stayed for 2 hours, juggling 3 kids through the brunch line. Everyone was so nice and good to us - especially our awesome waitor. He was on the lookout for seals/sea lions through the morning to point out to the kids. And the food was outstanding - crab and prawns were the belle of the ball! Cinnamon rolls were amazing also. Highly recommend this place for it's food and it's family friendly setting for being such a nice restaurant.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe extra mileSalty's staff is fantastic. The previous GM had promised our almost 4yo girl a limo ride for her birthday. When I called, I learned he had departed, but they said it would be no problem. When we arrived, we were shown to the best seats in the house with our out-of-town relatives. When the 'surf & turf' was a little smaller than expected, the current GM came over (without us prodding for it) and offered to make it up with a salmon filet, which by the way, was better than my grandfather would make when camping on the skagit as a kid.
The view is the best in the city, the seafood is fantastically prepared and always fresh, but it's the quality of people that they hire that make Salty's one of our very favorite restaurants. Thank you!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Brunch in SeattleThe Salty's brunch is an experience every Washingtonian or tourist should try! The selection is absolutely amazing and caters to even the pickiest of eaters! The setting is unmatched with views of the Seattle skyline. The staff was always on it, keeping us entertained and made sure our drinks and plates were full. Definitely make reservations and arrive several minutes early as it gets pretty packed. Complimentary valet parking is a great perk!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMExpensiveFor the price $45.95 at brunch at least 2 glasses of champagne should be included. Drinks separate were very expensive, otherwise a great place to5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding Service! The service was outstanding, start to finish. A newer waitress who was training was helping us and made a few mistakes, but they were instantly corrected and that's what matters the most. You could tell they hold their staff to a very high standard. The food was really good for the money, but it's not Seastar. The view is unbeatable though and made for a great, romantic date night. We'll definitely be coming back. The dessert (we had the white chocolate mousse cake) was to die for. Save room for it!!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingDo not miss this place.Every trip to Seattle requires a stop to Saltys!!!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMVoted the best for a reasonThe brunch is consistenly voted as the best buffet brunch in the U.S and it should be. Once you get through the longish wait for a table in a too small room it's a fantastic experience. The service is impeccable, the food is of the best quality. There's seafood, omellette and pasta bars, and many breakfast treats. We go here for special occasions and it never fails to make everyone very happy. There's literally something for every type of eater.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWe brought a customer fromWe brought a customer from Alaska in for lunch. Great view, good food and even our customer noted how knowledgable and informative about the wine and food our waiter was. Very enjoyable, will be back. Wish I lived closer - I would be a regular.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMSalty's TraditionLoved the beautiful waterfront dining. Easy to make online reservations. Welcoming staff! Ambiance is everything here. It is a seafood restaurant. There are a few items that are not. But for vegetarians, there is only one choice besides salad and it is doused with too much cream sauce. Miss the flavors of the vegetables. Chose to not make a fuss, but hoped my selection was satisfactory. If sundried tomatoes were added to the pasta or the rice dish created along side the special could be "vegetarianized", it would make a more enjoyable experience for me.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place to have a excellentGreat place to have a excellent food and to have a outstanding time with friends or family!!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSaltys for lunchAlthough my family and I go to Saltys almost every Friday for their fabulous Happy Hour, I had never been there for lunch. I made reservations for 4 but when I arrived we had an extra surprise guest. Saltys was very accommodating and gave us a larger table without fuss. The food was delicious, the view spectacular, and the service was spot on. I really appreciated that they didn't rush us as we hadn't seen each other for over 8 years. Our laughter seemed to permeate the restaurant and we had a great time. Thank you Saltys!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat sunday brunch6 of us (5 adults and 1 toddler) all met at Salty's for brunch on Sunday.
They were running late for seating but had warm scones and coffee available.
We enjoyed the entire meal including the bloody mary bar.
My daughter loved getting the balloon at the meal...if they had required that we wait until we were leaving, the meal would have been a nightmare.
Fantastic view.
thanks so much5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMHusbands birthday traditionWe go to saltys brunch for my husbands birthday . We have for the past seven years . Wish they had more vegetarian options but its my husbands choice for his birthday . Great desserts and pasta5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat View. Good Food.Huge number of choices. Mostly well done.

Coffee and hot chocolate in the waiting area are an extra nice touch.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMSaturday Bruch a Hit!It's nice to have the option of a Sunday or Saturday brunch. The price discount for the Saturday brunch is a bonus.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful Setting for a MealThe view was spectacular and the food was fresh and very well presented... I recommend this restaurant to anyone.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMsaltys SAT brunchexcellent value- Saturday pricing is $40 vs $60 on Sunday (Mothers Day) with only the leg of lamb reserved for Sunday5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe celebrated Mothers DayWe celebrated Mothers Day (a day early) with a wonderful brunch at Salty's on Alki Beach. We dined with our little girls, ages 3 and 7, and the whole family was seated promptly (even though we were early for our reservation.) Amazing selection of savory, sweet, and very flavorful foods for the whole family.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSercive was good, food wasSercive was good, food was delicious! And a beautiful view5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat patio, great serversSpent a rare sunny afternoon in Seattle on the deck at Salty's. views, amazing. Food really good; I had the seafood chowder and Dungeness crab melt (awesome comfort food with an upscale twist); dh had six local oysters and the crab Mac and cheese. Blake, our server, gave great descriptions of the oysters, and suggested a perfect fume blanc to accompany tem; I had a wonderful Pinot noir rose, dry and flavorful- great pairings! Blake's knowledge of the menu and various preparations was outstanding; and Lennon who stepped in when Blake was otherwise occupied was equally knowledgeable and funny. She also gave great recommendations on other places to go during our visit. All around a very well run and well versed staff and restaurant!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMKatie our serverTook my partner there for his birthday! Made reservations without a problem.
