  • "Able to have a special meal with family, great view, menu with something for everyone, even grade schoolers."

  • "Great service and delicious food sum it all up! For a first time dining experience at this restaurant it has to have been one of the best ever! The view across the bay towards the city is spectacular, even on a cloudy day! A must go for anyone who hasn't been before. Can't wait until we can go back!"

  • "The food was a great as ever. The waiter was exceptional! Trace was awesome. He has a great sense of humor and timing. He anticipated all our needs. We all had a great time and can't wait to do it again. The food is eclipsed only by the view of Seattle."
    Dined on 7/20/2014
  • "This is hands down the best brunch buffet I've ever had. The fact that you get donuts as you walk in was amazing. Our waitress was over the top great. I highly recommend this place if you're in Seattle."

  • "I went here for brunch with my husband for our wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely amazing. The food and service both lived up to the Salty's name. I can't wait to go back."

  • "Our family chose to celebrate my retirement of 30 years in WA school libraries & my husband's 70th birthday. Our party of 5 adults & 2 granddaughters, 2 & 8 years old. Our selected corner window was perfect. It allowed for our toddler granddaughter to move about. She & her cousin were treated to see a Jewish wedding, a tug boat pulling a load & a black seal diving & surfacing. Of course their grandparents, mommy & daddy all had these views. Buffet was visually pleasing, artistically displayed, inviting to the eye. Eat me it called out to each of us...to a 2 & 8 year old & their 70-year-old grandpa. Our 8-year-old granddaughter ate her first raw oyster, "Hmm pretty good." Everyone made a few trips..all food choices were delectable."

  • "I was entertaining out-of-town guests and live in Seattle. I choose Saltys for the seafood, view, and proximity to the water taxi. I was actually quite disappointed!!! Our service was slow, not very friendly nor helpful. It was very loud eapecially when the band began to play downstairs for a wedding reception....at least let us know ahead of time!! The food was warm not hot and my salmon was raw inside...I opted to not send it back as I was just looking forward to leaving at this point. In a town like Seattle....I would expect more from a higher end seafood restaurant...so many too choose from....based on this experience saltys definitely does not get my vote!!!!!"

  • "We had a very nice dinner with a great view of the Seattle skyline. Food and service was superior. We were a bit disappointed with the serving portions of the entrees considering the high cost of the items. Really that was the only negative for the whole dining experience."

  • "We always bring out of town guests here for the great view and delicious seafood! Salty's never fails to impress on every level. We know we can always count on it being a very special occasion for our guests."
    Dined on 7/19/2014
  • "We were disappointed with our entrees. I had the Maine lobster tail, which I was willing to pay $59 for, but was disappointed that it was over cooked (tough) and significantly oversalted. My husband had the halibut special, which was mediocre at best in the preparation. Decor needs a facelift. View is outstanding and wine was good. Appetizers were better than the entrees. For $200 it was not the meal we expected. We won't be returning soon despite being foodies new to West Seattle who love to dine on the water"

  • "No waiting....food was a little expensive for the quantity but the quality very good. great view of Seattle"
    Dined on 7/18/2014
  • "Friendly service and beautiful views of Seattle skyline. But I was not impressed with the food. Expected a higher quality given their menu prices. I'll go for brunch next time."
    Dined on 7/17/2014
  • "We have not been at Salty's at Alki for a few years; what a huge disappointment! We went with family members to enjoy seafood and the view. The service: my crab cake was missed and brought late. The popular chowder was pasty and not even hot. The OMG cocktail tasted more like grapefruit juice than anything else! The prices were exorbitant for the quality of the food. There are so many choices in Seattle; don't make the choice to have dinner at Salty's."

  • "On the way to our table the hostess interviewed me in such depth I thought I was talking to a census taker -- long form. Our server was so chummy it bordered on intimate. When he knelt down in front of my son's girlfriend to explain some bizarre chef's special, I got the impression he was about to propose. And then there were the stange flourishes of the giant wrought iron gizmo holding our appetizers (We asked him to take it away) and a pepper grinder only slightly smaller than the Space Needle. In short, we felt trapped inside an intrusive, orchestrated marketing strategy. The food was good (consistent with the high prices) but long on protein and very short on salad greens. The view is great, but just leave us to enjoy it, please."

  • "The view from Salty's is terrific. It is probably the best view of the Seattle skyline from any restaurant in the city. That being said, the food is mediocre at best and exceptionally over-priced. For a restaurant that claims to specialize in seafood, the selection is limited and without imagination. There are many similarly priced seafood restaurants in town with significantly better selections and better food (e.g., SeaStar). So if it is the view that you are looking for (and that's why I went this time to entertain out of town guests), Salty's is a great choice. Just bring lots of money. If it is great seafood that you are looking for, go somewhere else."

  • "Outside of the Space Needle this is most likely the best view in Seattle. The service was excellent and the seafood was nice. The view of the Seattle Skyline at sunset and lit up after that was amazing ..."

  • "I can probably lame myself for not ordering seafood. The prime dip sliders were awful. Overcooked greasy beef on very sweet rolls. Not a good pairing. The service and atmosphere were terrific."
    Dined on 7/14/2014
  • "15 _ 20 years ago, Salty's was excellent. Now, great view, marginal food, high prices."

  • "Salty's Brunch is Best in Seattle! Amazing foods & amazing service staffs! Foods always consistence.... I guess that's why we are keep coming back :)"
    Dined on 7/13/2014
  • "They have the best brunch in Seattle. We try to treat ourselves once a year there. I always enjoy the plate of snow crab that is sweet and succulent. They have a great variety od food to please every palate. I recommended them even though it is expensive, same your change and try it out."

  • "Had a great view of the Seattle Skyline as the ferries floated across the tranquil water. Food was good, Service was Great! Will be back again!"
    Dined on 7/12/2014
  • "We thought it was expensive for what you got. No bread... no starch... no veggies (except what came with the particular entree)... unless you paid separately for it. The service was very good; the view magnificent"

  • "We loved the limo pickup service and fantastic information provided by the driver James. Our food was excellent as always and desert, yummy. The view of the Seattle skyline is comparable to none."

  • "Great seafood ($$$-$$$$) and a very nice view= Salty's on Alki."
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "A must do in Seattle! The view across the bay is only surpassed by the excellent food and service. Ask for Chris, the manager, to suggest wines and foods. He's awesome!"
    Dined on 7/10/2014
  • "Long time favorite, sometimes overlooked. The staff, food and view is world class. Summer or winter Salty's is Seattle's premier waterfront dining"
    Dined on 7/9/2014
  • "My wife and I hadn't been to Salty's at Alki in quite awhile. We went to celebrate our 31st anniversary. The day was perfect and so was the view. We first ordered a couple of draft beers and both agreed that they were not very cold. The menu was lacking for several reasons. The first was lack of a good choice of different appetizers. There was a trio of items offered but not all of them preferred by my wife and myself. The seafood choices were lacking for variety. Our meals were OK and we both expected much more from Salty's. Maybe they changed management since we went last time but it sure seems its going in the wrong direction."

  • "Christy our server was outstanding. Her recommendations were right on it! We are from NC exceptional views of the city and great service made the cost worth every penny."
    Dined on 7/8/2014
  • "We've eaten at Salty's many times for dinner and for their reputable brunch; however, with the revolving dinner menu, it can really be hit or miss. This last time was disappointing and we will not likely return. The food was mediocre at best this time and for the prices, I expect more."
    Dined on 7/8/2014
  • "Shigoku Oysters!!! We made our trip over just for these oysters. They were the most perfect and delicious dozen oysters we have ever eaten. Everything else was okay. But the oysters and the view got this place the four stars. Almost 5!"
    Dined on 7/7/2014
  • "The occasion? My 71st birthday and what a wonderful way to celebrate the occasion. Excellent service, food, balloons and a piece of delicious cake. All and all a perfect lunch! Cheerful staff too! What else could you ask for?"
    Dined on 7/7/2014
  • "We hadn't been to Saltys brunch in quite awhile and probably won't be back for a long time. There were way too many people. It made getting food a chore. It was obvious a lot of the other guests had not been there before and were just in the way...food was ok but for the price it just did not impress me. Makes me sad that brunch has gone downhill"
    Dined on 7/6/2014
  • "The quality has gone down drastically price to value not worth it. Pretty unfortunate. I have gone yearly to honor my birthday I am certain I am not returning for brunch again"
    Dined on 7/6/2014
  • "Picked up out of town family members from pier 91 and headed here for the magnificent brunch and views. Be sure to check their website for the layout of their brunch - they have everything you could imagine and more! There was a pianist at the grand piano & didn't seem to be a bad seat for viewing Lake Union. Efficient and friendly staff. Price is well worth it ~ cousin who is very selective in what she will eat left well satiated. Cannot say too many good things about Salty's at Alki."
    Dined on 7/6/2014
  • "Whereas the view of the Harbor and the Seattle skyline is phenomenal, the menu is extremely expensive and the quality of the food is most disappointing. The service can be lacking depending on the individual that you deal. It is hit and miss."
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "Whenever I visit Seattle, I always seem to make it to Salty's. Always have a good time and good food. Come for the views, but enjoy the fresh seafood."
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. It was a memorable dining experience."
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "Nice view but you gotta pay the price to enjoy it. Happy hour is the time to go, make sure to try the oysters and other drink specials"
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "If you love seafood, you'll get your $40 worth for brunch. AMAZING amounts of food at this place for the brunch buffet. We had dungeoness crab legs as well as alaskan king crab, the mussels and clams were great, and the fresh shucked oysters were outstanding. These are in addition to the normal (ok, way more than normal) brunch buffet selection you would expect. Crazy great dessert bar too. Sit outside if you don't want to be run over by kids. ;)"
