A word from Salt 88
Melding Mediterranean with a dash of everything We've given our cuisine an incredible amount of thought--the planning of this menu kept our chef up many nights. To put it simply, you can call the cuisine at Salt "Modern American," but "Eclectic" might be more in our lane. Our dishes feature unpredictable combinations, bold and lively flavors, and the finest ingredients. Enjoy our New American-Italian menu with a touch of Asian influence.Continued

  • "Our party of four made an effort to cover several dishes to get a feel for the relatively new restaurant. Here is our thoughts- Seafood ravioli-excellent . Spicy white tuna- ok. Meatballs- very good. Cheese pizza-worse than Tony's at the grocery store. Mussels- excellent. Charcuterie board-excellent. Brochettes -interesting and good. They serve it with the topping in a bowl and the bread separate. Last, we were completely stuffed and split an order of sea salt and Carmel gelato -OMG. we tried most of the appetizers and look forward to trying their entrees."

  • "Kind of quiet place. We were the loudest table there :( The martinis were smooth!"

  • "Took my daughter-in-law and my 2 year old grandson to Salt88 for her birthday. The pizza and ravioli we ordered were amazing. We had their chocolate cake and gelato for desert...yummy!! Then they bought out cotton candy!!! The evening was amazing! Thank you!"

  • "Salt is a fabulous place for Italian food. Yum yum yum! I have a gluten and dairy issue and they were extremely accommodating with these allergies. There is a separate gluten free menu but they were able to prepare many of the items without dairy products. My husband had the Plank Salmon and he said it was wonderful. I highly recommend the Swai Tacos for an appetizer. Very good. Cocktails are served in ball jars and some of there signature ones are very good. We highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back!"

  • "The food is average....tasty but average. The ambiance was cool and the drink selection was pretty good. The service was great and the food was delivered to our table quickly. However, the food was average....tasty but average. Unfortunately, Salt does not provide a dining experience that differentiates itself from most of the other restaurants in its category."

  • "I've been to happy hour with my girlfriends and had dinner with my husband on a separate occasion. Inside the restaurant is not something you would expect from the outside. They have created a really ambience that would be excellent for a broad spectrum of night-outs. The food was AMAZING. At dinner, I had the Ravioli Artesa and my husband had the Plank Salmon. At happy hour, we each had sangria which was pretty good. For food, we had the calamari, goat cheese rangoon and splurged on the chocolate cake for a dessert! The apps were very good, but the cake... AMAZING. One thing I noticed is that they do not set any knives at the table...but that is OK because you don't actually need them! Cotton candy is a unique touch at the end of the meal."

  • "I haven't had the Steak Dubrovnik for a long time (I haven't been in for dinner for a while; I have been in for lunch a couple of times). I had forgotten how great Steak Dubrovnik and the accompanying mashed potatoes and asparagus is. It is just great."

  • "Always good food. Mentioned it was our anniversary at Open Table. Only wanted someone to wish us a H.A. but no recognition. Waiter quick for drink order but didn't ask if we wanted appetizer. After bringing entree, didn't ask if we wanted any wine. We were constantly trying to "catch his eye". Felt the restauranteur could be making more profit, if the wait staff were trained to think ahead of what a customer may want for an above average priced dinner. Will we go back? Definitely."

  • "Entrees are pricey but a large variety to choose from. I will go again just for appetizers & cocktails."

  • "This was our second visit. I was very satisfied with both visits and plan to return. The dishes were prepared to everyone's satisfaction and the service was excellent. I felt the prices were reasonable."

  • "We waited a half hour past our reservation time, however, the staff came around with appetizer samples and smiles. They made the wait enjoyable. We will be back."

  • "One of the things we loved is the limited menu. Too many restaurants try to be all things to all people. It was easy to make a selection and everyone at the table enjoyed what we had. Calamari and Avocado Wraps are worthy of being full fledge entrees they're so good!"

  • "The food at Salt is consistently good. During a recent visit we enjoyed the avocado eggrolls and goat cheese rangoon for appetizers. Both were delicious and not too heavy. For entrees, we enjoyed the wood plank salmon, ribeye and two pizzas (there were four of us). The pizza special was a chicken Ceasar salad pizza, which sounds odd but was very tasty. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. The salmon and ribeye were perfectly prepared to our specifications. Highly recommend!"

  • "My party of four didn't know what to expect when we arrived. The restaurant is is a very unassuming strip mall. I actually had the rest of our dining part wait in the car as the restaurant didn't look open! Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised as the decor was modern and sleek. Loved it as I was reminded of dining out in Dallas! The menu options are varied, but not so crazy that it feels disconnected. I had the miso glazed salmon and the skin was wonderfully crispy yet maintained the flakiness of the fish. We all shared a salted caramel gelato which was fabulous. And who can resist a few tastes of cotton candy? We would certainly dine there again."

  • "Interesting menu, food was quite good (not Grey Plume good, but much better than average). Very good service, with the owner/chef saying "hi" to each table and our waitress was fantastic. Nice mixed drinks, and although no tap beers, a decent bottle/can selection. Ambiance is nice and modern, with relaxing colors and a very casual, but upscale feel. We had quite a few things off the menu. Advice: Swai Tacos, Cedar Plank Salmon, sea salt caramel gelato."

  • "Loved the wonderful service. The cotton candy ending is silly and unwanted. Upon leaving, we found the nearest trash can to dump it."

  • "I really enjoy my dinner date with my husband. Great ambience, food and service. Definitively, I will return and recommend."

  • "The resturant was packed for our 8:00p reservation. The whole time who couldn't get I've the fluorescent lighting. We felt like we were eating in a cafeteria . Plus we were seated in what seemed like a party room and the lighting in there seemed worse than the rest of the restaurant. The service was great. The food was pretty good. We had the tuna carpaccio for an appetizer which was really good! So was the side salad with the party in your bowl dressing (carrot ginger and soy) We had the salmon and trout for dinner. Both were just ok. Instead of a dinner mint or chocolate, they serve cotton candy. This was a little bizarre but fun to bring home to our kids. They were nice to give us an extra so we had enough for our children at home."

  • "Would give 5 stars however crab cake and trout needed more seasoning. Otherwise everything else was top notch. Excellent calamari. Pasta rustic very good. We will defiantly go back and tell our friends."

  • "Carrots were undercooked and other veggies were overcooked. Server forgot my wine. Very disappointing overall"

  • "Dinner out with the girls--first time at Salt for all. The happy hour deals were amazing and there was a free wine tasting going on as well. The waitress was able to make perfect recommendations and we all couldn't stop talking about how much we loved the ambiance, energy, food, and experience. Thought we'd meet up for an hour and ended up staying three hours!! To top it all off, they bring you fresh spun cotton candy with your bill!!"

  • "Salt 88 always impresses with excellent service and excellent food. We really like their happy hour and for those that have not ventured out to Sat 88 yet then you should try their happy hour sometime. You can experience all their great food and yummy drinks (my fav is make it rain) anywhere in the dining or bar. That makes it nice for someone that may not want to sit at the bar."

  • "This was our 3rd visit to Salt 88. All 3 times we've had a wonderful experience: welcoming greeting, friendly, very knowledgeable wait staff, beautiful atmosphere and DELICIOUS food! Can't wait to go back - especially when it warms up and we can enjoy the gorgeous patio!"

  • "Great food, especially Goat Cheese Rangoons. Had to wait a bit for table even with reseravation, but wait eased by delicious sample of Sweet & Spicy Pizza, very smart idea. Noisy on a Friday night at peak time but not unbearable."

  • "Meatball appetizer is exceptional - 4 large meatballs! We tried both versions of salmon - Cedar planked and miso - both cooked as requested and were excellent! Very nice service and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Tables located in center of floor could benefit from better lighting."

  • "We were promptly seated on Valentines day which was very nice. Our waiter was the best waiter that we have had in a number of years. He was very welcoming and did not make us feel rushed. He was unobtrusive during dinner and had a great approach when checking on us. We ordered the Bread Service and the Crab Cakes for our appetizers. The crab cakes were very good. The Bread Service was spectacular. Our waiter explained what each bread was and also honey was to die for. The entree's were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I had a steak & mushroom special with wasabi/gouda mash. My wife had the Steak Dubrovnik and the same mashed potatoes. Both were spot on medium rare and were excellent. I recommend Salt for a great night out."

  • "Service was good. Pork cutlet was too fatty. "Ribeye" was fairly good. House red wine was good and dessert was good. Salad was good but wife thought it had too much garlic."
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "Above average fare at an above average price. The risotto was undercooked, the avocado egg rolls were greasy. Pizzas are quite good and drinks are expertly prepared. The "make it rain" cocktail is very tasty. Nice modern decor with excellent service. Good place, but not worth the hype."

  • "This was our first visit to Salt 88 and the experience was nothing short of excellent. The food was spectacular (every dish at our table of four was exceptional). Our server was friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. The wine list was great, too. The dining room is bright with crisp pops of color and a fun, modern decor. We really enjoyed our evening."

  • "We had heard quite a hype about Salt 88. We decided to try them for our Valentine's Day dinner. We made reservations and got right in. Our server was very pleasant, though not quite as available as i'd liked. I'm sure she was busy. Our food was very tasty, much more than just a shrimp pizza, very flavorful. And the wine was delicious."
