  • "We chose Sally's from the array of choices in our hotel and it didn't disappoint!!! Our server was very well versed in the wine selections and the meals. She was prompt, courteous and we never lacked for a thing. The sweetened butter with warm rolls was a very pleasant surprise to start our meal and the rotisserie roasted chicken was fabulous as was my dining partners fish and octopus plate. To end the meal we chose the gelato trio and were transported back to Italy! Don't miss this place!!!"

  • "The fish and chips were amazing, I don't even like fish but this was melt in your mouth amazing! Not greasy at all either! The filet was cooked perfectly and the portion was generous! The only item we weren't thrilled with was the black truffle Mac n cheese, the truffles were dried out and flavorless and the Mac was cold, other than that everything tasted great and the service was good"

  • "Sally's is our go to place when we are in downtown San Diego. We relax the afternoon away on the upper patio during a three hour lunch in perfect weather with great fish specials and the wine flows endlessly. Sally's "It's to live for!""

  • "My wife and I came here for dinner on 15 Aug - Fantastic! Nice view eating outside of the bay. Must try the fish and chips, my wife really enjoyed. The Paella was really good too; however, it is a large sharable portion for 2 or be very hungry. Service was top notch as well. Great place for date night or in town visiting San Diego."

  • "I had the fish & chips it was excellent. The portions were large. Overall a good dinning experience."

  • "So, they say their fish and chips are the best in town. I tried them -- and they were indeed really good, so worth trying. Surf and turf works as well. Do leave space for deserts -- I tried the semifreddo and it was wonderful."

  • "Food was amazing. Employees were on point. If you want to enjoy your time with a love one, night dining here is perfect. Best part is the fireworks around 9:20PM right off the bay."

  • "We expected great seafood. And we did get a great presentation when we ordered the tower. Although the shrimp and crab were good, the oysters were dry, and the lobster was soggy and bland. It seemed like it was left in water for too long or something. The omikase sushi was supposed to the "best" that evening but the fish was just okay and not super fresh, although large in size and the rice was dry and hard. I would not recommend this place since the price is high for rather low quality. It was also a birthday dinner for my husband and I specified that on Open Table reservation but they didn't even acknowledge it with my husband. The hostesses were young and inexperienced."

  • "I met some business associates for lunch at this restaurant on a business travel trip which I had never been to the restaurant before. The weather was good and we had a shaded table so it was very comfortable. Our table ordered a variety of dishes and everyone commented that the food was very good. Making a reservation I believe was very helpful because we did get the shaded table. I definitely would go back again."

  • "Wonderful view but waited 1 hour before receiving the first plate. Food way too salty."

  • "Visited Sally's with my wife on my B-day. Started with Seafood Selection Small Tower, very suitable for 2, incl very "Large" Lobster and Crab legs and fresh oysters, with 4 different sauces. As a main cource, ordered "Sea Jewelry Paella". They did perfect job to my request to exclude calamari and octopus, and instead they increased shrimps and others. It was first time to enjoy such large lobster in paella. Since food ware so excellent, we emptied 2 bottle of Napa Cakebread!. As a last surprise, when we asked bills, they brought cute dessert we didn't order, with "Happy B-Day! " in chocolate cream!!. It was one of the best my B-Day dinner. I do recommend Sally's where perfect seafood and warm service guaranteed."

  • "We had dinner at Sally's on July 5th. We sat outside - it was a beautiful night, the restaurant is next to the marina, and it made for great people watching as the crowds walked along the walkway to Seaport Village. Our food was delicious and the waiter was knowledgeable about both the food and wine. And at the end of dinner, fireworks went up at the SD Pops concert. A great night!"

  • "We went to Sally's for dinner the 4th of July. Had amazing cocktails and meal. Ahi tuna and butterfish were delicious. Service is alway good. It's one of our go to spots when visiting San Diego. They also welcome your dog on the patio."

  • "Our meal was excellent, as was the service. Imaginative dishes and a nice wine list. Seaport Village is a bit touristy, but don't let that keep you from trying Sally's."

  • "The food had outstanding flavor. The service was very professional; however, up to three people would ask the same questions at times. The only real complain was the presence of bones and scales in my crispy skin Hawaiian snapper and cartilage in my wild mushrooms. It showed a definite lack of attention to detail by the chef and became a choke hazard."

  • "Excellent seafood restaurant at San Diego Marina, adjacent to Marriott Marquis and Grand Hyatt. Food quality, preparation and presentation are excellent. Service is spotty with long forced waits for a group dinner for 9 people while restaurant was less than half full. Sit outside and enjoy the marina views and San Diego weather. Dinning room is noisy with its hard surfaces."

  • "I was there with family members for dinner, it was my niece's birthday, we all enjoyed our dishes, some innovative things in the menu, a variety of options for all tastes. We ordered wine and beers, good alternatives for both. definitely recommended"

  • "I dined at Sally's a few years back...so I knew I had to visit while in San Diego. I was not disappointed. The service was top level - friendly, professional, knowledgable. And the tuna was fantastic! Make sure you save room for the gelato."

  • "This is a really great restaurant! The view is really great! The service was very friendly and the new sushi rolls were wonderful. It's a great spot to hang out and enjoy our beautiful San Diego weather all while enjoying grear food."

  • "We had a great lunch on the patio. We didn't expect great food at a hotel restaurant, but this was an exception - food was excellent (we both had a fish/steak special combo that had creative presentation & seasoning). Prices were not that bad given the location. One tip: in the confirmation email it said you had to specifically request the patio, so I called them to ask for that. They graciously said yes. That was fortunate because the patio tables sit out right along the boardwalk by the Bay, a very nice experience. You can probably add that request when you reserve online."

  • "I came here for lunch with my brother. He got a burger and I ordered the quinoa burger. We both thought our food was great. We were seated right away, the service was friendly and timely, and we were happy."

  • "We were staying at the Hyatt and for our first night we didn't won't to go far. The menu is quite limited for a Seafood restaurant, but the location, friendly staff and busy seafront made for an enjoyable evening. We would definitely go back and recommend Sally's for dinner if you want to be by the water as we did."

  • "Sally's is one of our go to places in San Diego. They have outstanding cocktails and food. Incedible staff that are also dog friendly. Love that you can park in the Hyatt's garage and get free parking with validation from the restaurant."

  • "We had a last minute hankering to celebrate a colleague's engagement. The staff were more than accommodating, even on short notice, and went out of their way to provide us a great table, congrats throughout the night, and a complimentary custom dessert. Kudos. "

  • "Had a celebratory brunch in the outdoor dining area. Angel was our waiter and did a fine job. Food was great, I had the crab cake eggs benedict and a Bloody Mary. The bloody mary seemed to be made from shrimp cocktail juice and wasn't something I'd re-order. It was another perfect day on San Diego's waterfront and all 5 of us had a very enjoyable brunch. "

  • "We had excellent service at this establishment; our waiter was delightful. Food was disappointing, however. The hostess wasn't very friendly, either."

  • "Food was great, we sat outside in the patio, the service was very poor, not only for our table but for our entire section. Last time, we sat inside and the service was outstanding. "

  • "We come at 7 pm and were seated at an inner-yard table with a good view of the bayfront promenade. Found a great wine list. The salads were small (especially the beet salad) so not noticeable. The crab cake and fish-n-chips were really good. But expensive. Had to wait for 15 mins for a glass of wine and to remind 2 times. Overall - very good."

  • "My mother and I had an overall good time at this restaurant. Being tourists we had to ask a lot of questions about the menu items and our server did a good job of answering them. The food was very good. It was quiet which we liked. We'd recommend this restaurant to family and friends who plan to visit San Diego."

  • "Best fish and chips in town because it is the only restaurant that uses sea bass instead of cod. other dishes are good as well. great for sushi lovers."

  • "Sally's had a n excellent staff and is a great location right off the water. The sushi rolls were outstanding! A few of us had the Lobster Pot Pie, which was something new for all of us. It was very good, with plenty of lobster. The only item that was average was the crab cakes. Way too much cilantro. Service was excellent. Great wine list, and a full bar."
