I highly recommend Safari Grill.
Essential recommendations personally are the ribs, the masala fries, the kabobs and the mushaki! Also worth trying the Kenyan beer, Tusker, whilst there."

Saw some reviews that were pretty
good but the food was only ok. I was mostly and east indian flavour which i can find much more enjoyable at other venues."

I wasnt sure what to expect but
the reviews had been good. The food was amazing, it was quiet and we got a table next to the windows.. The snow was falling that night and a little bunny even came and gave us a show snacking on the grass. The tusker beer and wine was a perfect complement to our meal. Will most definitely be back and bringing friends!"

A very casual, comfortable
atmosphere. Extensive menu with a mixture of East African and East Indian - a great blend with lots to choose from for everyone."

my husband is from Tanzania so of
course we had to try this place. i would rate it an A-. There atmosphere is very cool. dark, lots of zebra and african design. menu has a huge selection. in terms of african fusion food, it was good, but not amazing. i was expecting to bite into the food and be like "oh my god, i need more of that!" but that didnt happen. it was very good, but not amazing,"

We arived on a cold, snowy evening

My wife and I tried Safari Grill
on a recommendation, and we'll definitely go back. The service was prompt and cheerful, and the servers made helpful suggestions about what to order depending on one's taste for spice. The decor is very African, but with modern tones. I personaly thought the Swahili pop music was a neat addition. The only downside is that without the menu in front of me I can't remember the names of what we ordered. My wife had lamb vindaloo, which was delicious, and I had chicken kebabs (not what they're called on the menu), also excellent. Even with an appy each and dessert our bill came to just over $50."

the food was excellent, the
service was excellent with help explaining menu items, the appetizer portions were generous, the entree portions were generous, and our water glasses were never empty.highly recommended."

Good unique food and excellent
service make Safari Grill stand out from the rest. My favorites in their menu are the Masala Chipsi, which are fries with crushed tomatoes and the Short Beef Ribs done medium or hot. The Short Beef Ribs have such a unique taste that I will always come back for more. The Safari Grill Is a restaurant all Calgarians should try at least once."

I would definitely recommend this
restaurant, having traveled to East Africa this summer I was excited to eat some of the familiar cuisine and I was highly satisfied. The lady serving us was very patient and friendly, we were celebrating a birthday and the servers were happy to allow us to bring our own dessert and even surprised the birthday girl with a dessert on the house. The food was amazing, I'm excited to go back and try more of the menu!"

The ribs and mogo masala are the
highlights but the Indian food is also some of the best that we have had in Calgary. Try the Tusker beer from Kenya. The food is always excellent and the service is friendly and attentive. If you are unsure of what to order, just ask and they will be able to help you find something that will fit your palate."

I recently took my family for
dinner and we all had a great experience! Dont be shy about asking the owner for explanations and recommendations. We did just that and soon discovered a multitude of flavours and foods to add to our list of favoritesin Calgary - each of us having our own preferred picks and all quite different. Matched with a nice pinot Grigio from their African wine list, the various dishes each had their own special character and with some you can dial-up the heat as much as you like. There's something for everyone. It was a fun evening."
