Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded May 1965 in New Orleans by Ruth Fertel. Enjoy award-winning cuisine and gracious hospitality.
Sizzling morning, noon and night, a delicious breakfast is offered 6:00AM Monday–Friday (6:30AM on weekends). Enjoy an a la carte breakfast menu as well as an expansive Breakfast Buffet.
Lunch is available daily with a full menu including a Prime Burger and sliced tenderloin sandwich.
Enjoy dinner in the upscale dining room or on the patio and enjoy a range of entrees from the finest USDA prime steaks to the freshest seafood and poultry, side dishes, unforgettable desserts and an award winning wine list.

  • "There were five of us for lunch and all of us enjoyed the meal very much. I had a wedge salad to start, which was only fair, it did not have enough bacon or blue cheese on it for my taste (this is why only a 4 star rating). However, my filet was outstanding. Very good flavor and tender. I also had potato wedges which were very good. The service was attentive and polite. The food was pricey, but I would recommend for business lunch/dinner and special occasions (date night)."

  • "For 12 years we have been going to Ruth's for our anniversary. We have gone to the Sunset Station and commander locations. This is very different. Much more open and loud not really suitable for a private dinner for two. They don't do our favorite dessert, Bananas Foster, a Ruth's classic, due to restrictions. It was disappointing."

This one was located inside our hotel and next to the convention center that we had meetings at, so it was easy to get a late bite to eat. I had hoped for better, but it was just good."

  • "The filet was as good as you will get with very few exceptions, my wife was very pleased with the Sea Bass and they shelled my daughters lobster for her, not inexpensive but well worth the expense for the quality of the food and the attentive service. As Native Texans we can't, in good conscience, recommend anyone eating Tex-Mex on the Riverwalk but Ruths Chris has the same high standards on the Riverwalk as they do in areas where they don't rely so heavily on tourists."

We were first put in a corner where it was very confining but asked to be moved and we were so that was good. Given the empty table we were surprised that we were put there at all."

  • "Best steak I've ever had! Had dinner with my wife at Ruth Chris for our 1 year anniversary and Ruth didn't disappoint!! The 500° plate made all the difference. Each and every bite was like it was right off the grill! Our waiter was also excellent and made sure to let us enjoy our special evening, rather than try to make pointless small talk. If I were rich I'd eat there every night!"

  • "One of this popular chains largest locations proves that too much produces too little. The wait staff tried it's best,but was over burdened, and not attentive, Was looking forward to a Veal Chop ,but disappointed that it came out under cooked and tough resulting in a change in dinner entree to a Filet. The rest of my friends and my BW enjoyed their dinners. We frequent this chain in most cities we travel too and chalk up this experience to typical Saturday night dining. Busy night, too busy for us."

  • "I have to Ruth Chris in several locations and have always been very pleased. Took my son on his first experience there and we're very disappointed . Steak was tough and grissly and sides were cold, service was really spotty we waited for everything from water to the check. We know good beef as Nebraska cattle feeders and this was a real let down."

  • "The food at Ruth's Chris was wonderful, especially the appetizers such as the grilled scallops, the plump shrimp cocktail, and the Ahi Tuna. We even shared a petit filet as an appetizer. BUT...watch out for the scam with your drinks. We were charged an extra $2 to have scotch with NO ice, an extra $2 to have our martini straight up (no ice) and an extra $1 for olives in the martini. This was not listed in the menu at all as the manager (who never came to our table) admitted. He said we get more liquor when there's no ice, but we never asked for more liquor - just no ice. The extras added 33% to the martinis - WATCH OUT!"

  • "We had to use a credit card to reserve the table in case we decided to cancel so they could charge us $25 for the inconvenience. It was February 13 so no matter what, if we cancelled our reservation, we were paying $25 for our table. We arrived early for our reservation on Valentine's Day because we were super excited to try something new. (This was our first dining experience at Ruth Chris's) We were seated right away and began to notice all of the empty tables in the restaraunt. Turns out, they only had one menu featuring a 4 course dinner for $99 per person! Hence, the empty tables... The food was mediocre but the service was outstanding. (My steak tasted like char) We will not eat at Ruth Chris's ever again, so sad..."

  • "Luckily they gave us their very nice private room for our team. Salad was great, Dinner was excellent, would have like to see a couple choices on the dessert for their combo specials. The private room exceeded our expectations, a quiet and elegant atmosphere to dine with a group of good people. Requested a change from 5 to 6 people, which OpenTable confirmed, but seems the restaurant didn’t get the update. Luckily it wasn’t too busy at the time, and they were extremely accommodating. Our waiter was awesome, even took a couple pictures for our group! Would recommend for a special Dinner to anyone."

  • "I looked forward to this weekend with my husband but was disappointed with the food. first the ordered came out wrong because I ordered steak and lobster but received steak and shrimp. The steaks that was ordered medium well came out overcooked and burnt (one of the steaks). So by the time the ordered was brought back correctly some of the broccoli was cold. These things was corrected and the server was nice but the over all experience Was just not great."

  • "We made reservations a week in advance. When we arrived, we could see the restaurant was busy and were told that reservations were running "10-15min" behind. We decided to give it 20min. After about that long, the hostess said we could sit at a "low table" in the bar area, or wait another "10-15min" for a dining room seat. We took the bar table simply because we had no reason to trust her on the "10-15min" estimate again. Once seated, the service was very good. We ordered salads and steaks, all of which were served quickly and in perfect condition. The steak wanted a little salt, but that's acceptable. Only real problem was my wife's glass of cabernet was served well after the steak came, and the wine was ice COLD. Very unusual."

  • "Tried the location on Jones Maltsberger and service was very poor but food was great! I thought by trying another location my luck on service would change (boy I was Wrong). waiter was never there and was more focused on a lager group that he was attending. I asked for my second round of beer and, NEVER got my beer...when I asked he said he was sorry and laid the check on my table. I dont mind paying premium for food so long as it comes with a smile and great service and Chris Ruth's SteakHouse does not have it. I beleive I have ran out of locations to try! They definitely failed to keep me as returning customer!"

  • "This is one of our favorite restaurants and I particularly like the new Riverwalk location. Sadly, the Valentine's menu for $99pp was not up to the usual high standards. The appetizer sampler was the best part, especially the tenderloin skewers. Very good! The lobster bisque was tasty and full of lobster but only warm. For my entree, I had the Salmon Oscar. It was good but not great. My husband had filet w shrimp - a standard there - but it wasn't hot enough. My husband put butter on top of his steak and it never melted. How crazy is that when the plate is delivered extremely hot? I am a huge fan of Ruth's Chris and I know we'll be back. I assume the fixed menu had a lot to do with the mediocre experience but disappointing to pay so much."

  • "When we arrived they told us they were behind on their reservations and it would be a 10-15 minute wait. We were celebrating an early Valentine's Day dinner so we didn't mind waiting. It was really loud in the lobby area. I started to get upset because a few people arrived after us and were seated almost immediately. 30 minutes later we were finally seated. We thought it would be a little less loud in the restaurant but it was just as loud as the lobby. I ordered a steak and they brought it out burned and had no flavor at all! The garlic mashed potatoes didn't taste like anything. The roasted garlic green beans were just as flavorless. We had a fantastic server. Would not go there again. The one on Jones-Maltzberger is a lot better."

  • "After a 7:45 booking with OpenTable we were finally seated at 8:10. The lobster bisque was "meh". The steaks were both excellent. The shoestring potatoes? The first batch came with all the characteristics of shoestrings: cold, limp, twisted and inedible. The replacement batch came ten minutes later and still had no crispiness; maybe they just rewarmed the first batch in the microwave. We did not risk dessert. Oh…the wine was good. It just wasn't the bottle I had ordered. Caveat emptor."

Sever made great recommendations for table - felt like a customized experience. Dinner was prepared to order and was excellent -hard to do with a larger party. Wine list was great - plenty to choose. We unfortunately were too full for dessert!"

I have eaten at several other locations around the country and this one just didn't quite seem to live up to my expectations even though it was still a good meal. The service was very prompt and friendly, which did help. However, all of us in our party ordered steak, and while they were good, they just didn't seem to be as good as what we had come to expect from Ruth's Chris. One person in our party had to send their steak back to be cooked more. Just couldn't help feeling slightly disappointed when we all left and felt like we didn't get the quality meal we expect from Ruth's Chris, especially at their prices."

  • "We went for New Years, Very good Steak no doubt, but everything feels so overpriced! $99.00 per head for the NY SPECIAL, was to include, appetizer sampler, soup or salad, entree & side, desert and a glass of sparkling wine. The soup was served first, it was room temperature. We had to ask for our appetizer sampler, there were 3 of us that ordered the "NY SPECIAL" we EACH should have received the sampler. Instead the server only served (1) for all of us to share. She didn't even KNOW it was part of the Special. Lastly we never received out Sparkling glass of wine. Needless to say for the price we paid we should not have had to share or ask or miss any of the components to our pricey meal. For the cost I would have rather gone shopping!"

My lobster tail was fine but my filet was overcooked. The wine suggested was excellent. I would have had the ribeye but I can't handle a 16oz steak."
