The last time we were there the food wasn't as good as every other time but every place is bound to have an off day. But all in all great steak, great service, and the cocktails are amazing! Our service was very good, and enjoyed a perfectly cooked filet with a glass of wine suggested by our server. We fortunately sat in the lounge, as it was well lit with natural lighting from all of the windows. Overall, I would certainly recommend this place to others."

We each opted for the "meal deal" which, in addition to the entree, included a soup or salad, a side, and the bread pudding for dessert (only option). My husband got the 11 oz filet, and I got the 6oz filet with a Caribbean lobster tail. The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, tender, juicy and delectable! We ate every bite! The lobster tail was a tad tough, but delicious nonetheless, and the juices from the lobster, butter and lemon made a fabulous flavor combination with the steak. Got green beans and mashed potatoes to share as our sides, the potatoes were rather bland, the beans were cooked just right, both were plentiful. Overall, a wonderful evening and dinner!"

  • "I was disappointed that we were in the bar area ... We also were seated right next to the entrance... right next to another couple. There were other open tables and the dining room was very open. No reason to be seated on top of one another. This was a celebration and not just a quick meal... Would have preferred the dining room. I was disappointed in this aspect of the evening. Food was good, however my steak was over cooked, fortunately the Birthday person had a steak and his was perfect. Desserts were fantastic! The cocktails were great! Waitress/servers were very good."

  • "THE GOOD: Our server was amazing. Knowledgeable about the menu, wines, cocktails, and worked to accommodate special requests. THE BAD: Food good, but not great. Sea bass was fishy. Steak was tender, but not tasty. The shrimp was paltry by comparison to other high-end restaurants. We also got seated in the back banquet room. Felt like we were in a small, Holiday Inn conference room. A bit cheap. I've been to Ruth's Chris once before, and I liked it. This time around, not so good. When spending $500-$700 on dinner, one expects perfection on everything. Thus, the overall value proposition on this particular outing was a 2.5 out of 5. In my opinion, the other big steak house in town delivers more consistently on all aspects of the experience."

  • "I took my wife here for her birthday. It was a milestone, so I decided to go all out. This was our first visit, but I knew from talking with others that the meal would be expensive, but I wasn't thinking it would be this expensive. We ordered crab cakes for an appetizer, she got the Fillet, I got the Ribeye, and we shared a potato and asparagus. I ordered the cheesecake for desert. My wife had a glass of wine with dinner and I had lemonade. Our bill came to $172 without tip. I was a bit sticker shocked. The food was AWESOME, but I am not sure if it was $105/plate after tip awesome. Our waitress was nice. She was very informative. I did get a bit of a feeling that her demeanor was slightly based on the size of your bill. She was nice."

I thought the point of restaurant week was for these places to impress new and potential foodies to keep them going back time after time, so I was expecting the food to be great. Since this is a steak house restaurant, we both ordered the filet. But was that a mistake. I ordered mine rare, what I got, was done medium, barely any pink really. I was so disappointed. My boyfriend ordered his medium rare, he as well, got a medium done steak. For a steak house to mess up what they are "known for" is just WRONG. On the bright side, the salad and the service was good. I don't think I would go back again or recommend, even for the restaurant week deal."

  • "I really enjoyed the night out with my husband. It was very expensive for the amount of food. Everything was charged separately, the baked potato the salad etc. The glass of wine was not a 1/2 of glass it was a 1/4 of a glass. However, the steak was excellent the restaurant was very fancy with great ambiance. We probably would not go back except for maybe an anniversary or something special due to the prices. Overall, it’s one of the nicest restaurants in Minneapolis and we are happy to say that we have at least tired it once. :)"

  • "This was by far the most "bang for your buck" restaurant during MN Restaurant Week that my foodie group tried. Everything was amazing: the food, the deal, the service, and the ambiance. Never did we feel like we were being treated 'less than' for utilizing the weekly special - in fact I feel that our service was perhaps more attentive?! Needless to say, the lobster mac n'cheese, creamed spinach, and chocolate dessert were to die for. And the addition of two glasses of wine for $12 did not hurt either! It was amazing to be able to experience this tier of restaurant caliber, and they did not disappoint in the least!"

We went as a part of restaurant week and we were treated to salad, a great steak, garlic potatoes, a wonderful Chocolate Sin Cake. It is a great deal during restaurant week. We had fantastic service and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Regular prices are a bit steep, but you get what you pay for, so, if you can afford it, you will absolutely enjoy it."
