                                        I booked a reservation 3 days in advance for 8:30pm celebrating an anniversary, and we weren’t seated until 9:15. Pretty disappointing given the excitement we had for the night. We were seated in the corner near the bathroom which is fine, but due to the spot we sat at I had to flag down the waiter to order our appetizers, flagged down again for drink refills, and had finally flagged them down for the check. We were not checked on once the food came out, but luckily the food was amazing and we had no issues with the food. I’ve never written a review like this. Undecided if i’d return

                                        Food was great. Service was not good. We had to eat on dirty plates and table wobbled and we were barely served. And the restaurant ambiance looked tired and dated. Not worth the trip.

                                        I am very disappointed in our dinner server. We have been to RPM Italian many times. The hosts were great and accommodating (As always) but our actual server, not so good. As I mentioned we celebrated my sister's (who is celiac) 30th bday. The server was aware but even when we ordered dessert ( 1 gelato of each GF & 3 chocolate budinos) no happy birthday sign or even a candle to celebrate?? I know this is offered @ RPM bc we have celebrated MANY birthdays here in the past, even when you don't order a dessert they bring out a little happy birthday gelato.... He also did not introduce himself to the table, just started pouring tap water (even tho we prefer bottled still.) Usually the staff introduces themselves to the table and asks our preference but nope not him just started pouring the tap water without a word. I also had to ask for a glass of wine 3 times bc he acted like he didn't hear me even though he was there asking if we needed anything else? Overall very disappointed in his service & lack of friendliness. All other staff were on par to what we have experienced in the past but that guy was not it. We shouldn't feel like we are inconveniencing our server when that is their legit responsibility of the job.

                                        We ordered a porterhouse for 2 and it had a lot of gristle in it, I had to try and discreetly spit out the unchewable pieces. We ordered crisp Brussel sprouts and they arrived after we had finished eating our main course. Our water glasses were frequently not filled. I was so excited to try RPM Italian and overall have to say I was disappointed. They did have very good gluten free noodles for the 2 that have celiac's in my party. I will not be going back.

                                        We had an amazing dinner at RPM Italian in Chicago. The service was phenomenal. Our server, Matty was extremley nice and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant.

                                        Great menu and surprisingly wide variety of wines by the glass. Lots of high tops which how we were seated. Not my first choice but the only option within a short booking window. Excellent service. The swordfish was excellent and a reasonable price. Great desserts including creamy pistachio gelato. Only glitch at the end was the awkward process of using the QR code to pay and complex entry of card details. A nice experience.
